Hotel Mount View

Excellent view from hotel room and location of hotel. Excellent hospitality by Mohamad Yusuf from room service Mr Tahir and few more from reception. Staff is always smiling and ready to help. Mr Yusuf we t extra miles to provide b fast packed on checkout day when we have to leave early.

We were here for 2N stay in this basic old hotel but in a prime location and great view. Mr. Ijaz in the restaurant was very courteous and took care of our needs. The room charges do not justify the lack of amenities and upkeep of the property. The staff at this hotel are looking for tips. The breakfast and buffet dinner are average.

The property is pretty old with fairly good maintenance. Room size was very average and with very average Decor. There was a centralised heater in the room but not in the bathroom. The best part of the room was its Wide window, overlooking beautiful valley,huge mountains and river flowing by the side. The garden area was not very well maintained, but again view from the garden was amazing. Property is located in the prime market area, with lots of eateries & restaurants all around. There are small shops selling Local Kashmiri goods and one can take a long walk around this place with mountains at 360 degrees view. Rooms from 08 to 11 are best ( view wise). Breakfast spread was very average and taste of food was of OK type. In my opinion one can always stay at this property because of its location & view.

This was my second visit to this hotel and the most important thing which attracted me to book this hotel was budget friendly, VIEWS FROM THE HOTEL, near the river & polite staff. Beautiful Hotel on the main Pahalgam Street with nearby restaurants and handcraft cloth dealers. Comfortable stay. Had taken breakfast which was limited but good. Rooms were comfortable. Would recommend fellow travelers. We booked suite room which was comfortable with great views.

Hotel Mount View is situated in the mid of Main Market of Pagalgam - it doesnt fail to provide you Astonishing snow caped mountain views from Room 201. The heater of the room is so Powerful that u can stay in your shorts even if the temperature is -5 outside . The buffet food is extremely delicious with their courteous hospitality delivered by Ghulam Rasool & Mr Ijaaz. Overall my experience was very good 9/10. My entire travel itenary was made by Mr Nissar to whom i would like to thank for choosing this hotel for me. Travel Date - 7.1.24 Travelling from Mumbai.

The young person on the reception. he is big scammer. he will tell you price different price and when you will check out he will get extra money from you. be careful in hotel mountain view. big scammmer all in the hotel

Breakfast buffet has options limited....staff always looks for bakshish.....***y items in menu not available when you order for....rooms doesn't have glasses for water...no lockers in room .....al carte is not served in restaurant ...even crockery is not washed properly.

I have no idea how this hotel is surviving!! It’s so so poorly maintained, the ***agement doesn’t give a damn about anything! The rooms are so badly maintained. The washroom mat was not even changed from previous stay. Dirty slippers were provided for using in the room. Each and every corner was dirty. The tv remote was filled with dust from months ago. The only thing that is worth here is the view and the heated rooms, which is amazing! but how long can u survive for with just the view. The cleaning staff didn’t ever bother to come without calling and tipping them. Only a soap and low quality shampoo was provided in the name of toileteries. It is extremely highly priced for the kind of value provided. The breakfast is way below average. It seemed like they are serving it just for the sake of it. The whole property is dirty. It is well made but lost it’s potential due to poor ***agement who think that the view is enough to let them survive. Please don’t stay here and spoil your trip!

I booked this stay in may for 2 days and had the worst experience. I booked this stay based on good reviews at google and youtube but i had the best experience. This is how events unfolded: On the day of arrival I got a call from hotel saying they have to cancel the stay as they overbooked the rooms. I was on the way and it came as surprise to me given it was peak season and it will be difficult for me to re book another hotel. Additionally i booked this hotel a month ago and not sure they didn't realise the overbooking till the day of arrival. When talked to ***ager for this mess, he behaved rudely and didn't find the person to even belong to hospitality as I never heard that tone from ***ager at hotel. Not sure if there was third party involved. Also 33-4 different people tried to convince us to cancel the booking. I reached out Agoda for matter and ultimately hotel cancelled the room and mentioned they will return money in 10 days which came as surprise as they took away the money using qr code in a day but why it will take 10 days for them to return the money. Also i had to book another hotel and needed the money. Eventually it turned out they will return money in 30 days. I am still waiting for my money back. Hope i gets it back on time. The staff is impolite, worst, rude. People involved were not even local and hence I am not sure who took away the money and whom I am dealing with. Please be aware of such scams. I booked hotel walnut creek and pahalgam divine for my 2 days stay afterwards. They were decent hotel. I am making sure to write review for this hotel to make sure people are aware of such incidents.
