WS St Germain - Quartier Latin

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Had an horrible stay with WS. I was informed on the day of arrival that check-in was delayed by two hours. When I finally got to the apartment the toilet was clogged meaning I was left in a room with no working bathroom. I contacted them several times. There was no apologies, no urgency to resolve the issue, the manager was always "unavailable". They said all other rooms were occupied. They did not offer an alternative accommodation or a solution. The cleaning lady would come the following day between 11h and 15h. The same the "cleaned" the apartment and left the bathroom like that. I left for another place at my own expense and I am still waiting for my refund! UNACCEPTABLE!!!

The room was so small and noisy because it's on the busy road. Also, they had no AC and you need to remember 4 code to be able to enter in the room...1 for the main entrance, one for the stairs, another one for the hall and finally one code for the room. But th location was excellent.

I'm really upset that ******* recommend this hotel to me. The rate was over 400$ for a 2 star hotel with no reception. I needed 4 codes to enter the premises. The place was old and dirty with limited lighting. One of my worst hotel experience.

We loved the apartment near in the center of the Quartier Latin. My husband and I walked around and visited a lot of known places and museum. Good bedding and cleanliness. The system access is very secured and autonomus, we've lost any time during the check out, there is absolutely nothing to do.

All I can say is I wish I had read the reviews. The location is amazing and I think this is why it scores so high. The apartment itself was in need of lots of tlc. As other travellers have mentioned the smell was the biggest issue. When we arrived the smell was masked by very strong cleaning chemicals. We didn't arrived back at the apartment until very late on first night, but which point the chemical smell had been replaced by an overwhelming smell of damp. The beds and bedding where awful. Since we were at the front of the property on and there was scaffolding immediately outside we could not keep the one window that did open (bedroom one did not) open and it was most unpleasant. We discovered that there was black mould in the corner near the broken safe and having looked at other reviews it looks there there have been issues with damp for sometime. There was no air conditioning, which meant even on a cooler summer day it was too hot to sleep. The entry way is old and dirty (though the apartment itself was clean). The location is wonderful, but I wouldn't stay again.
