Really can't beat what you get for the price. I stayed for 6 nights and paid under $700. The rooms are small. I was in a single, so the room was downright tiny. But it was clean, it was comfortable and I didn't need more than that really. The air conditioning worked flawlessly, which was the MOST important thing in Paris in August. The room had hooks and hangers to hang stuff, 3 shelves for storage, a luggage rack, a USB plug next to the bed for my phone, a small wall shelf for placing things, a movable side table, and a TV that had about 2 English channels, but I wasn't around to use them anyway. I had no problems with Wifi during my stay and plenty of hot water. Only negatives about the room were the flat pillows and the hand/face/body/hair wash - basically one pump bottle for all your washing needs. If you have hair that needs some extra care, be sure to maybe buy additional shampoo and definitely pick up some conditioner (not provided). Also, maybe a washcloth (also not provided). Other amenities for the hotel were quite nice. There's a 24/7 cold and hot beverage station in the lobby. Anytime you want a coffee/cappucino/espresso/hot chocolate or water/seltzer, you can head for the lobby and help yourself. Breakfast was delicious - it's a small buffet with limited options. The first day, I was super impressed, by the 6th day, it was the same food. Don't expect a huge amount of variety, but do expect it to be good. Plenty of fresh bread choices, an egg boiling station, yogurt with toppings, fruit, meats and cheeses, mini-crepes with toppings, croissants, cereals, juices, coffees, teas, milk, and even a juice squeezing station. And the breakfast area was never too crowded while I was there. The hotel is conveniently located within a 10 minute walk of Gare du Nord, where you catch the train to the airport. It's also a 3-5 minute walk from the metro station which is on the line that goes straight to the Louvre. At least 2 grocery stores within quick walking distance if you need a snack and the neighborhood was really quiet. I felt safe as a single woman. Downsides to the building: the elevator is tiny (max 4 people), the hallways are just about one-way only and if you have noisy neighbors or if your room is next to the elevator, it's going to be loud. I got lucky on this trip. But the staff were super friendly (checked me in early without even asking) and my stay here was overall very positive. I am amazed at what I got for such a good price...Motel 6 charges more and gives you way less.
