Our stay was excellent, and we especially want to commend our butler, Xiao Jiang. From pre-arrival communication and meeting us at the scenic area ferry terminal, to planning our itinerary and arranging dining and boat tours during our stay, she was incredibly thorough and thoughtful throughout. She proactively anticipated our needs, even thoughtfully providing mosquito repellent. Her demeanor was warm and professional, and her service was attentive yet unobtrusive, making us feel truly welcomed in this water town. The hotel's architecture uniquely reflects silk culture, and the breakfast was delicious. Coupled with our butler's high-quality service, our trip was incredibly comfortable. We'll definitely choose Silk Hotel again on our next visit.

This hotel truly lives up to its reputation as the best in Zhejiang's ancient towns. While the entrance isn't grand, it holds a charming secret within. The hotel boasts an inner courtyard with a covered bridge, and from my window, I could gaze upon a picturesque scene of small bridges, flowing water, and lotus ponds. The intricate eaves, carved windows, stacked tiles, and dark walls perfectly encapsulate the ambiance of a Jiangnan village, especially when strolling through the alleys in a light drizzle. This hotel provided me with the most beautiful ancient town experience. The room was spacious and well-appointed. The welcome fruit wasn't just a couple of apples and cherry tomatoes; it was a selection of premium fruits. The bedding felt like high-end sateen cotton, though I'm no expert, I could tell it was of excellent quality. There were even multiple pillow options. The room was spotlessly clean, which is a huge plus for me as I'm a bit of a clean freak and have high standards for hygiene – this place passed with flying colors. Breakfast needed to be reserved a day in advance. While the variety wasn't extensive, every dish was exquisite and catered to both Chinese and Western tastes. The personalized butler service was excellent; Grace was available 24/7, ready to assist with any questions I had, both inside and outside the hotel. The hotel's location is right in the middle of Wuzhen's West Scenic Zone (Xizha). Although it's on a street, it offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. I highly recommend this place.

Service: The hotel's service is truly five-star. We were greeted by a staff member named Qingguo, who patiently escorted us from the parking lot back to the hotel and then thoroughly explained various touring strategies for Wuzhen. Environment: The hotel rooms are very spacious, and the hotel's gardens and pavilions are perfect for photos, so you don't have to go out and deal with crowds. Dining: For breakfast, the hotel offers two dining options, and we chose the one at 'Siyi'. The breakfast here is quite exquisite, what we'd call 'pretty food.' The interior environment is also very photogenic, so you can easily snap some pictures after your meal.

I was very satisfied with my stay. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast offered a rich variety of options. Some of the chefs also spoke English, which was a plus. It would be even better if the menu for dishes and drinks included English translations. The hotel's proximity to the high-speed rail station made getting around incredibly convenient.

A Wonderful and Peaceful Stay in the Heart of Wuzhen The hotel is located inside the Wuzhen resort, right in the middle of the main walking street, making it very convenient for exploring the area. Despite its central location, the hotel is set within a fairly large compound, and our second-floor room was charming, peaceful and very quiet. Our room was exceptionally spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We were assigned a personal assistant, Xiaojing (小静), who was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We connected with her through WeChat, so we could contact her anytime with questions about the hotel or arrangements within the resort. She took excellent care of us from the moment we arrived until our departure. Breakfast was also excellent, with a choice of three different set menus. We especially loved the fish noodles! The luggage porter service was extremely convenient too—we simply left our luggage with the staff, and it was transported through the resort and delivered directly to our room. Overall, we had a wonderful and highly satisfying stay. We would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Wuzhen. Hualuxe in Haining is a newly built upscale hotel we really enjoyed to stay. We liked the following: * We had a spacious premium double room, which has separate shower/bath and toilet rooms. Both are remodeled nicely. The tub looks really nice but we didn't use it. There is a separate space with a day bed and a table and a chair, serving as a mini living room. The wet bar features Chinese kong fu tea setup, which is really rare. It is not for coffee lovers since they only have instance coffee. The view from the window is decent with a tree lined gated single family community within view. * The hotel's pool has the best water quality we have experienced from hotel's pools. Even better than some of the best five star hotels. There is a real time water quality monitoring system in the pool area that you can checkout the water quality yourself. Swimming in it is much more enjoyable. Remember that you need to either bring swimming cap or purchase one there to use the pool. * The hot tub in the locker room is very clean and much larger compared to other hot tubs. It is worth the soak. * The hotel lobby has extremely tall ceiling making it grand. It is well decorated, featuring a lobby bar and several traditional tea serving spaces for serenity. There is an outdoor garden that the guests can view from the lobby windows, but you can't go into the garden. * The lobby and hallways are not scented but the air feels clean and there is an air purifier in the room to keep the air clean. * We also got served with a robot to our door when we ordered extra bottles of water. It is high-tech'ish. * The single-use toothpaste is a well-known japanese brand, which is very nice. * we didn't use the gym but it looks well equipped. * the lobby bar opens till 10pm, which is nice for me to host some visitors. Room for improvement: * the sauna in the locker room is not hot enough. Only 51 C when we are there. * the spa is not yet open, they are still looking for a third party operating company. * we didn't try the restaurant but they only have Cantonese cuisine. I wish they had more local food (Haining's specialties). * the service is OK, staff are very friendly but not exceptional in terms of making you feel at home. The mini-fridge seems to have less items than the menu suggests. Perhaps because it doesn't have enough guests to keep the fridges always stuffed. * since it is really new and not yet fully ramped with occupancy, it may feel a bit empty but you can also enjoy the quietness because of that. Overall, it was well worth the money but the location is not exactly close to any tourist spot or metro station or busy shopping mall. You really go there for a nice stay. There is a good seafood restaurant next door, which is a plus.

The hotel staff, from the entrance to the front desk, restaurant, and guest rooms, provided excellent service. The front desk even offered recommendations for local attractions, which was very helpful for planning our outings. The rooms and tents were all spotlessly clean, making it a comfortable stay for both the elderly and children. The large bed was soft and comfortable, the duvet thick and warm, and the toiletries had a smooth texture with a pleasant scent that rinsed off easily. The complimentary vegetarian set meal was surprisingly delicious. The brown sugar peach gum dessert was generously portioned, with every bite full of peach gum, and just the right sweetness. The burdock hand roll had rich layers and a refreshing taste. The dipping sauce for the pan-fried dumplings was incredibly fragrant, and the red amaranth was tender and perfect with rice. The oranges at the buffet were fresh, sweet, and juicy, and the watermelon juice was very refreshing and great for beating the heat. The hotel also provided free tickets to the Michelangelo Ice Cream Museum, which was amazing! There must have been hundreds of types and flavors of ice cream, and you could even try DIY ice cream making. It was a fantastic experience.

The biggest highlight of the inn is its artistic space – the entire area is tastefully decorated, making you feel very relaxed, just like being at home. But what surprised me most was the room. Honestly, I've only ever seen such perfect rooms in pictures. Clean, comfortable, and every detail meticulously arranged. I had a wonderfully happy stay; it was simply impeccable. Breakfast also left me very satisfied. While the variety wasn't extensive, it was more European-style, and the condiments were served separately, allowing you to add them to your taste – unlike street food where a whole bunch is just sprinkled on directly. For a foreign tourist like me, who can't eat too much spicy food, this was a very thoughtful touch. A special thank you goes to Ms. Qian Wei at the front desk. She was incredibly warm and patient, helping me resolve various small issues during my stay, which made me, a foreign tourist, feel particularly welcome. Although there was a language barrier, her smile and service attitude left a lasting impression on me. If you're coming to this city and looking for a unique place to stay that isn't run-of-the-mill, I highly recommend TongAn Inn. I wish the inn thriving business and Qian Wei all the best in her work!

It's also conveniently close to prominent attractions like the permanent site of the World Internet Conference and the Internet Light Exhibition Center. For visitors planning to explore Xizha Scenic Area, this spot is incredibly convenient, saving a significant amount of time and effort. **Pleasant Ambiance** * The guesthouse maintains a consistently clean and tidy environment. Its interior design features a 'light luxury' style, offering a blend of simplicity and elegance. * The rooms are exquisitely decorated, particularly the themed rooms, where unique ornaments, bedside lamps, and feature walls are thoughtfully chosen to create a warm and cozy atmosphere. **Excellent Facilities** * Room amenities are brand new and include 24-hour air conditioning, hot water, smart TVs, and private Wi-Fi, catering to all guest needs. * A wide variety of room types are available, such as King, Twin, Family, and special King-size rooms. Some even come equipped with trendy electric chairs, ensuring there's an option for every group's preference. **Attentive Service** * The owner and staff provide warm and exceptionally thoughtful service, offering 24-hour hassle-free butler assistance. They also extend pick-up and drop-off services within the Wuzhen area, including transfers to/from the station, making guests feel truly valued. * They are also very caring towards children, providing kid-friendly facilities and entertainment options, which significantly eases travel for families with little ones. **Outstanding Dining** * The guesthouse has a restaurant on its ground floor, serving authentic and delicious local Wuzhen specialty dishes at very reasonable prices. * The surrounding area offers an extensive array of dining options, including numerous breakfast spots, bars, cafes, snack shops, and trendy 'Instagrammable' restaurants.

Superb! The service was excellent, and the breakfast had a great variety. The hotel is also centrally located, making it convenient to get everywhere. I'd definitely choose this place again on my next visit. Traveling with my family, we even got a room upgrade during check-in, which allowed all three rooms to be in the same building. It was perfect! The only minor downside is that light sleepers might find the air conditioning a bit noisy.
