GGuest UserBooking this hotel was definitely the right choice. It's just a 5-minute walk to the train station, a large supermarket, and a tram stop. There's a convenience store on the hotel's lower ground floor, and a bakery (great for breakfast). You'll find a variety of restaurants nearby, including Thai, steak houses, Chinese, and ramen! A 15-minute tram ride from downstairs will get you to the amusement park, and if you want to go to the beach, it's a straight 15-minute walk. The hotel's breakfast was a bit limited, pretty much just what was shown in the pictures. Nothing particularly exciting. The dinner options at the hotel restaurant weren't extensive either, with steak at £24 and fish and chips around £16, plus a 12.5% service charge (which all restaurants seem to add). I'd recommend making a reservation for the Thai restaurant.

GGuest UserHotel staff, facilities, food, swimming pools and entertainment were brilliant. Everything was presented really nicely in the foyer/reception area. The bedroom and carpets were really tired, however, and need a revamp to match the quality hotel foyer. We found the mattresses uncomfortably soft and didn't sleep well, so assume these were old too. A really mixed experience, but on balance the positive outweighed the negatives. The staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Highly recommend getting tram passes on app. before you arrive as need proof of children's DOB from passport or birth certificate. The tram stop is really conveniently opposite the hotel. Excellent reliable service :-)

GGuest UserThe best western carlton is a superb hotel to stay for one or two nights or more.the beds are very comfortable and the bathroom with super hot water is great.lie back and enjoy that well earned break away. Superb value for money and the staff are very welcoming on arrival. Good location and in a quiet area of Blackpool. Shops and north pier about 10 to 15 mins walk.

PPippa40Excellent breakfast and evening meal in the Palm court restaurant. Staff very pleasant. Evening entertainment every night. Great location with tram station right outside. Very good value for money for seaview superior room. Cheaper standard rooms need attention in regards to facilities and cleanliness but still good for price. Interesting historic hotel.

pictures made hotel room look bigger than it is, it's very small. I paid for bed and breakfast, if I knew what breakfast would be like I would have skipped it.
U get small chopped tomatoes from tin which aren't even hot, would have prefers a real tomato. You get a small bowl of beans which is about a table spoon worth. The fried bread isn't even 1 slice or half a slice it's quarter slice . And 1 hash brown. Toast was cold aswell. Small glass of orange juice and coffee. Out of all that I drank orange and coffee and 1 slice of toast , couldn't eat rest. Others may find it ok but wasn't for me
Tv wasn't working and could only connect to WiFi in reception area.
Staff were lovely though .

GGuest UserClean, tidy, and COMPACT accommodation. Used as a base going out during the day and eating breakfast and evening meals at local venues.
The location was excellent for walking to the Blackpool Tower and along the promenade.
The onsite staff were available, cheerful, and helpful.
Amenities were adequate. The en-suite included a GOOD shower, but it was NOT spacious. The fridge in the room was very useful for fruit etc. Kettle in the room for tea or coffee.
Iron and ironing board available on the premises.
Note that parking, one space at the side of the property, was an extra charge per night, otherwise parking on the street, or at locally managed car parks at various rates.

GGuest UserWe visited this place with friends, 5 of us, and got a great service for 5 people in 2 different rooms. We shared one toilet. We paid 118 quids for service which is quite nice for 5 people staying for a night. As we were visiting the Blackpool pleasure beach and carrying backpacks would have been difficult so we requested the hotel staff to keep our luggage while we checked out and were gone out for the entire day, and thankfully they agreed. All in all I loved the overall service, highly commendable.

GGuest UserClean and tidy room, quad with private bathroom, 2 double beds. Blinds on windows instead of curtains and not blackout blinds, which left gaps in so people could see into room. Tv and tea/coffee in room. No breakfast available as no chef currently employed. £50 cash deposit must be given on check-in which was returned with no problem after room inspection. Well stocked bar and karaoke with bingo was played on Friday and Saturday night. Parking available at £10 a night but looked a bit risky out the back so didn’t park here. Reception not always manned and can be a long wait for someone to come after pressing bell. No hot water on 2nd morning so it looks like the early risers take all the hot water. For the price for a family of 4 over easter it wasn’t as bad as some reviews.
