My GF's review: My stay in Meiji Onsen Ryokan was my first stay at a ryokan, and I’ve never felt more welcome at any other hospitality place I’ve been to before, of which there are many. And even after the first day, I am pretty sure it will probably stay this way forever. I am very grateful for your kind welcome and I am amazed at the work that the team of your hotel does at this place. Everything feels natural and beautiful, and the atmosphere is so peaceful and special. People who work here are passionate about their job, and as a passionate person myself I feel energized and happy to see others be so amused about what they do. I will always remember my first stay here and I will compare other ryokans I go to with Meiji Onsen Ryokan, because I feel that it’s the best ryokan in Japan. Thank you so much for this amazing experience. And Okami-chan is the best girl in all of Nagano! When I come back home, I will tell everyone who she is and where she is from - Meiji Onsen Ryokan, Chino, Nagano, Japan! 🇯🇵 (As a fantastic bonus, it’s even allowed to go in with uncovered tattoos! Not every ryokan can match up to that!)

The room is very clean and easy to spend and the kitchen has everything you need It was a comfortable 1 night. I enjoyed the sauna and the bonfire. In the evening of the end of August, the buyo came out and the legs were short. i was bitten, so i'm getting rid of insects. Long pants are recommended. I was with a dog, but I was peculiar to a dog ok inn. I was really happy that there was no dog smell at all. I wanted to use it again. Thank you.

The equipment is humanized, the space is spacious and the environment is beautiful. This area is connected by three Dongkyu Hotels. The vast leisure walking trails are pleasant. The self-cooking tools in the room are very complete and the price is reasonable and close to the maple red of Yuke Lake. If there are self-driving people, push 🥰

The environment is very beautiful, breakfast facing the lake view, the store is friendly, only to climb the stairs to the room on the 2nd floor, it is suitable for light luggage.

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. The Japanese-style room had two rooms and was very clean, and the large public bath was excellent! The meals were delicious, and we were also able to gather information about the local area from the staff. We would like to stay here again.

I used it on a solo trip! It was very calm in the space where the unique design of wood and the color of the lighting blend naturally. I wanted to be there for a long time. There was a very clean feeling such as kitchen and bathroom. The windows are even ceiling and are very open, but since it is across the road from the lake, trees are planted for blindfolding and you need to go out for a walk to see the lake.

The cabin was narrower than the picture, and the bathroom was outside, so grass bugs flew at night, which was uncomfortable for children to go around. However, dinner and breakfast were buffet style, which was really healthy, and the taste was good, and the quantity was also foody. It was in the mountains, so the cool wind and the sound of the water refreshed me in the evening.

Stayed in March 2024. I have stayed at this hotel many times. This was the first time I booked through Trip.com. The website said it was a one night, two meals plan, but when I arrived at the hotel, I was told it was a one night stay without meals. We argued over the counter, but no one could come to an agreement. I called Trip.com and explained the situation. They admitted that I had booked a one night, two meals plan, but the hotel had received the reservation information from the wholesaler, Rakuten Travel, so I decided to hang up and wait to confirm with Rakuten Travel. When I called back, Trip.com proposed that I pay the hotel for two meals at once, and then Trip.com would transfer the amount later. There was no guarantee that the money would be transferred, and if it wasn't transferred, it would be a loss for us, so it was not a very good idea, but dinner time had already started, so I accepted it. I paid for the meal at the front desk, ate, and sent the receipt to Trip.com from my room. After I told them my transfer details, the amount was transferred the next day, so there was no expense for me, but I hope this never happens again.

概ね良かったと思います。スタッフさんが 親切でした。花火を見に行きたいから、早めの夕食時間にしてほしいなど、あと、急に延泊したいと 幾つか希望を申し上げても、割と聞いてくださり あと、食事内容が3日で繰り返されていることから 同じ食事内容になってしまうと、丁寧に話してくださったり、真心が感じられました。 ただ、せっかく、おいしい空気が感じられるのに、お部屋の網戸が破られたままで、窓を開けていたら、子どもが蚊に刺されたり、あとエアコンから 水が漏れてしまっていて、朝、机の上が 水びたしになっていました。ちょっとそこが 残念でしたが、スタッフの接客態度とかは良かったです。 ありがとうございました。お世話になりました
