Guest UserThis was by far the best hotel of our entire trip. Waking up to Mount Fuji right outside our window was absolutely stunning! We also had dinner at the hotel, which was a full Japanese-French fusion course. Breakfast was served at the same restaurant, a Western-style set menu, also with amazing views of Mount Fuji. If you're driving or have a private car tour of Mount Fuji or Hakone, definitely book a room with a mountain view in advance. It's a bit pricey, but the experience is incredibly worthwhile.

The accommodation has a Don Quijote nearby, very close to Gotemba Outlet. In the morning, you can see Fuji. There is parking for 1 car.

Is a comfortable and well‑located base for a Mt Fuji adventure, with easy access to both the Subashiri and Gotemba trails. The property offers many great amenities, and I especially appreciated how easy it was to borrow an umbrella — a small but thoughtful gesture during three straight days of rain.
The buffet breakfast is a highlight, with a variety of Japanese and Western dishes to start the day right. I also liked the eco cleaning option, which rewards you with two drink tokens — a nice way to encourage sustainable choices. Overall, this hotel combines convenience, comfort, and great service, making it an excellent choice for hikers and travellers alike.

Guest UserThe environment was very comfortable and chill. The tents were spotless, the private bathroom was impeccably clean, and the shower had great water pressure. The BBQ dinner was delicious, and the simple breakfast was also well-balanced! Even if you cook yourself, the facilities are complete, which I'm very satisfied with 👍🏻 I really loved it!
The best part was waking up to a view of Mount Fuji from my room, and having breakfast with a view of Mount Fuji again – it made me so happy! 😃
It's convenient if you have a car; it's a 7-minute drive to Gotemba Premium Outlets and a 7-8 minute drive to the supermarket.

The room was very noisy, I was tired and slept well at night, so I skipped breakfast. Next time I come, I will eat breakfast without skipping it. Dinner is not bad. I was given yaki onigiri or cup noodles, which made me feel full and I fell asleep. I am not hungry at night anymore.

This is my second stay here, and hands down, it's the best hotel in the Kanto region, considering the views, location, and price. The hotel dates back to 1895, even a year older than my university! The same lovely and kind old gentleman was at the front desk for check-in; he was so friendly and even gave my child a small gift. Absolutely perfect! They also have a free microwave for guest use, which is very convenient!

PROS
- For this price, the rooms are considered large/adequately spacious, not squeezy or cramped at all, which we think is a steal!!
- We especially love the triple bed room, it comes with a mini room consisting of a table and sofa for sitting.
- While the triple room we had didn't have a Mt. Fuji view, the twin room we booked did, so we are glad that at least one of the rooms has the Mt. Fuji view.
- The staff at the reception are friendly and welcoming to us. They can speak English too.
- Amenities like tea bags, toothbrushes, combs, shavers, etc., are available at the first floor for you to take, there's no need to bring your own.
CONS
- Hardly any, maybe the flat pillows, but you can take extra pillows from the level 1 area.
We were initially worried about the odd smell mentioned in some other reviews, but luckily our rooms are fine and are also pretty clean -- this is the most important factor for us, as we have a toddler. Everything was perfect, except maybe the location is slightly far, but still walkable (7 to 10min). Do bring an umbrella with you though, as there is no shelter from the station to the hotel. Overall, this is a very decent hotel that exceeded our expectations, we highly recommend it and would definitely stay again next time!
PS: Attractions reachable from Gotemba Stn (within 20min-1hr) include Gotemba Premium Outlets, Fuji Safari Park, Komakado Kazaana Cave, Lake Yamanaka, Numazu Deep Sea Aquarium, etc

Every year when I visit Tokinosumika, I see this accommodation. I've always wanted to stay there, and my dream finally came true. The inside was spacious, and the kids absolutely loved it! Being able to use the Kirakubo baths as much as we wanted was the absolute best part! The only thing was that the lighting felt a bit dim, but that was fine too. I definitely want to stay here again!!

Posted on Jun 22, 2025|Semi Double Room Smoking
Guest UserI booked a room based on the results of a soccer match, so I searched for a cheap place that was available for weekend reservations.
I'm a non-smoker, so I had no choice but to choose a room that allowed smoking, but I was very satisfied with the large public bath and the room, which had a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji.
Breakfast was less crowded than I expected, so I was able to eat it, and they even refilled my water bottle!
I was impressed with the service, which really increased my satisfaction with my trip!
