I stayed at Movenpick Hotel & Convention Centre KLIA for an overnight business trip between flights, and every single category—cleanliness, surroundings, service and facilities—deserves a full five stars. This hotel totally exceeded all my expectations for an airport transit stay.
The location is its biggest highlight. It sits right next to Kuala Lumpur International Airport, which saved me so much trouble rushing for my early flight the next morning. No long taxi rides or stressful early wake-ups; I could walk to the terminal easily without worrying about traffic delays. The building has a stunning, eye-catching curved exterior, and the whole hotel grounds are full of tropical greenery, creating a peaceful, resort-like vibe that makes you forget you’re just steps away from a busy airport.
My superior twin room was spotlessly clean. Housekeeping did an incredible job sanitizing every corner, from the bathroom floor to the desk and window sills. The beds are plush with soft linens, and the sound insulation works perfectly—aircraft noise from the runway barely seeps in, letting me enjoy a solid night’s sleep after a tiring international flight. All bathroom fixtures, electrical outlets and workspace facilities are well-maintained and fully functional, ideal for business travellers who need to sort out work emails in the room.
The hotel staff are incredibly warm and efficient. Front desk agents handled my check-in and check-out rapidly with fluent English, patiently answering all my questions about airport shuttle times and local transport. The public lounge and convention areas are spacious and well-equipped, great if you need a quiet spot for quick meetings.
If you have an early or connecting flight out of KLIA, this hotel is an absolute no-brainer. I will definitely book here again on my next business trip passing through Kuala Lumpur Airport.

MMSATStrategic locations surrounded by restaurants and near to Super Mall. Easy to access through public transports (Grab) and availability of free car parking at LG floor. Highly recommended for short and long duration stay.
AAnonymous UserStayed there for one night. It’s quite convenient to get food at night there as it’s in Tamarind Square where there’s a lot of food and shops around. The room was nice, big for just the two of us, but the bed was a little low for my mom. Overall a good stay.
MMarsDewThe room is a bit dusty. There is a sofa bed in the room but it is not set up by default. If you need an extra bed, there is an additional charge of RM98. The hotel will then prepare the sofa bed and provide extra bed sheets, pillows, blanket, towels and toothbrush. The RM98 charge also includes breakfast for one person
NNur Izzati MustapaI found that the main door was not functioning properly. I only realised this on the second day of my stay, when I discovered that the door could be opened without using the access card. Fortunately, there was no loss of belongings or any security incident.
The water taps were also confusing. At the sink, the blue indicator was for hot water and the red indicator was for cold water. However, in the bathroom, it was the opposite — red for cold water and blue for hot water.
Since I have stayed here several times before, I would also suggest that the hotel provide a floor mat in front of the bathroom and sliding door area. As the pool is within walking distance, guests often return with wet feet. Only one towel was provided, so I had to use the same towel both as a foot mat in front of the bathroom and to wipe my feet after coming back from the pool.
In addition, there seemed to be some stains on the bedsheet.
Nevertheless, I still enjoy staying here because the pool is very convenient and located nearby. 🫶
GGuest UserI keep sending 5 stars because one person at the front desk is nice and competent.
I was so disgusted though when I picked up my passport from the shelf today to find that the cover was molded from just being in the room. They have serious mold issues. One room smelled like a cabbage took a ****. The housekeeping solution was air freshener instead of finding the cause and correcting it.
The best room had no bad smell, but clothes I never wore had spots of mold. You can see the plaster bubbling in the halls and around the room.
Most of the reception staff uses their phones in speaker mode without an earpiece, so you hear it echoing down the halls. Their off-site manager calls and threatens their salaries and work/immigration status, and everyone hears that, too.
The female reception is extremely loud and flirty with old men who behave inappropriately. You need ear plugs.
Most of the families are Muslim, and they lock the children out of the room to be intimate. You hear them running up and down the halls. This morning I was woken up by a small child knocking on my door and running off like it was a game.
I saw Al Zain try to scam a Chinese man charging 91rm for his 18rm meal today if I hadn't stepped in and covered his bill. I was so disappointed because I ate their every day for 5 weeks. But there are many restaurants in the area so choose better.

KKucing_25my experience was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make sure every detail was perfect. Check-in was quick and smooth.
The room was spotless and very comfortable . Housekeeping did a fantastic job keeping everything fresh and tidy throughout my stay.
GGuest UserPros:
The location is good. It is within walking distance to various cafes, shops, and popular local spots like the nearby D’Pulze shopping centre and the scenic Cyberjaya Lake Gardens. The unit itself comes fully equipped with all the essentials, and everything was in good condition. Additionally, the panoramic view from the window is great - waking up to that scenery was a highlight of my stay. The check-in process was straightforward, and the host was responsive and easy to communicate with
Cons:
First, the air conditioning system is extremely frustrating. it only turns on after pressing a specific touch button, but it shuts off at random time intervals. I found myself waking up in the heat every single night just to press the button again. It is unclear if this is a bug or an intended ”feature,” but it is incredibly annoying
Furthermore, there was a severe cockroach infestation upon arrival. They were everywhere in the studio. I had to purchase and set up my own roach traps to make the space habitable, which helped, but this is an issue that should have been addressed by the host before check-in
Also it would be very helpful if the host provided a few international power adapters. Since this property caters to foreigners, it is easy to overlook Malaysia’s specific outlet type, and arriving late at night without the ability to charge my devices was a major inconvenience
Lastly, the half-wall separating the bedroom from the kitchen area is very unstable and poorly constructed. It wobbles at the slightest touch, and I constantly felt that if I were to accidentally lean against it, it might collapse and leave me liable for significant damages
TThe Foreign LocalGreat 1-Night Transit Hotel, but Very Basic
I stayed here for a short transit, and it serves its purpose well if you’ve just landed at the airport and need a spacious place to sleep before heading to another area.
The Good:
The room itself was very large and comfortable. The evening staff are absolutely amazing—so friendly and welcoming! They provide daily room service, a kettle, fresh towels, two small bottles of water, and basic toiletries (shampoo, body wash, soap). There is also a handy little shop right next to the hotel for odds and ends.
The Downsides:
It's a bit remote, far from major attractions, and sits opposite a dense forest area, so there isn't much to do. It’s definitely not ideal for a long-term tourist stay. Also, the daytime lady operating the desk had little to no knowledge of the surrounding area and couldn't suggest activities or places to go, so don't rely on the day staff for travel advice.
Lastly, I was quite disappointed that there was no mini-fridge in the room. Malaysia is very hot, and having a cold drink would have been great.
Overall, it's a good, basic hotel for a quick overnight stay, but make sure to do your own research on nearby spots beforehand!
