Really enjoying our New Year stay at The Lawrence with our friends. NYE food was exceptional and the entertainment by Nathan Moore from 80’s boy band Brother Beyond was just fantastic. The staff have gone above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and are so welcoming to our dogs. This is our second stay at The Lawrence and it certainly will not be the last.

We initially planned just an evening celebration, but after speaking with Michael, our plans evolved into a twilight service. The venue was exceptional, the rooms were lovely, and the staff, especially Vicky, AJ, Alison, and Michael, exceeded our expectations. They were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make our day special. There were more staff members who were equally fantastic, although their names escape me at the moment. Thank you all for making our day unforgettable.

Wow, just returned from a date night stay, the room was fab, comfy bed, warm, hot shower with lovely toiletries. We ate in a dinning room all to ourselves, never once were we forgotten about, and the food was soo good. We also took our little doggy and they made him feel so welcome. Never stayed at a hotel like it, we will be back and our little doggy Archie will be too.

Lovely Room, nice bed and nice bathroom. Coffee machine in the room and teapot With a lovely little Touch of flapjack a jar. Staff was very friendly and very welcoming. The breakfast was absolutely superb. Could do with a larger duvet and some more coffee pods but nothing negative about this hotel.

I have a long term contract in the area and have tried many hotels before finding the Lawrence, none of the others came close, most of the others had very tired and worn rooms, at the Lawrence the rooms are all of a high standard. When working away from your family on a regular basis its important have people to engage with, at the Lawrence the friendliness of the staff is the best I've experienced.

A massive thank you to the team for making our recent stay with friends to celebrate my wife’s ’big birthday’ so enjoyable! We were really surprised to find Prosecco and balloons in our room - a thoughtful touch. Our stay included a cocktail master class with Josh who proved to be a fantastic teacher, open to answering all of our unnecessary questions!! Highly recommended. The hotel is a lovely place; the decor is very chic and feel in keeping with the age of the building. Bedrooms are well appointed with period features. Parking isn’t great tbh, but not exactly a deal breaker as we read guidance before travelling. Our evening meal was nice, and breakfast was lovely; great service for both. A really enjoyable stay - looking forward to a future stay 🙂

We had a reservation at the White Swan Fence and this is a perfect place to stay (10 minutes by taxi ) Our room was very spacious, clean and had everything we could possibly need - including an iron . There’s a small kitchen area in the hotel if you needed it which also has bottles of water etc. Our breakfast was very tasty ( you order the night before). Lana is very friendly and helpful- she booked us in and served breakfast. Thanks for a wonderful stay

The room was amazing, relaxing and well maintained. Staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast I would say was also a big highlight and understood why it’s an additional cost. Only one thing that was a slight pain was parking on my day of arrival.
