Do not stay in this hotel. And if you do certainly do not book any excursions or transportation with the management. I agreed and paid TB 9,000 for a long tail boat trip around the bay. I say many offers of trips for about TBaht 1,600 per person, including canoeing and lunch. As there were four of us I decided to pay the premium for a private trip and was promised something special. What we got was the same trip as every other tourist, but without the lunch. To add insult to injury the hotel added TBaht 2,000 to my bill at checkout for the ten minute canoe trip that we did not request but assumed was part of our tour. A complete rip off. I had booked a transfer from the airport on arrival. This did not turn up. I booked a room with a verandah. We were given an upstairs room with a net outside a sliding door. Neither safe nor appropriate for a couple in their 60's. We were transferred to a downstairs room the following day. It had a sunken bath but they wanted an additional TBaht 1,000 to fill it!! The only thing going for this hotel is the view. It is exceptional and memorable. The hotel itself is run down and neglected. Poor door locks. Insufficient air conditioning. The beach could be nice but it is completely neglected. Laziness on the part of the management. My recommendation - visit for a drink and soak up the views but do not consider staying.

We booked 10 days in this hotel. The pictures were beautiful. 2 days ago, at our arrival from Bangkok to this place, we thought it was a bad joke. Ok, the view is great, but: the pool is small and dirty. No place to lay down. Our room was just near the road. From it we could access to our room through a glass door with a bad lock. The street lamp gave us light the whole night. If it rains, no way to stay on the terrace: the roof is in a very bad shape. Stairs up and down, too narrow and dangerous. Tiny beach with old tyres,

We booked the hotel as the last stop on our trip before departure. We did this on the basis of very good pictures on *********** and unfortunately we did not look reviews at the tripadvisor. More about the hotel and the room: the door of the room on the first floor just behind the reception, did not have a normal door posts - the door went in and out on both sides. As the room was next to the road, the sound of passing cars could be heard as well as by the person standing next to the road. The room itself was clean and corresponded to the pictures, but there was a strong smell of insecticide in the room. Insecticide was also very necessary because there were a lot of ants on the balcony. The area around the hotel by the see was dirty. I have also seen many beaches in Thailand during the low tide, but this beach was simply unmaintained. Plastic rubbish and car tires were floating in the sand and under the trees. The stairway to the beach was oblique, slippery and even dangerous. If you travel with children, you will not allow your children there alone. The pool was old and dirty and its depth was just 50 cm. The "sun deck" next to the pool had dead bushes instead of lush plants (as shown in hotel photos). The overall impression was shocking and just sad, because the contrast with the photos on *********** was very high. After seeing the hotel area, we decided not to stay in the hotel and asked the owner to cancel our booking and return the booked amount. The owner said we have to do this through *********** because the money is returned to us by ***********, not him. Unfortunately, this was a conscious lie on the part of the owner. The owner received the money we booked when we checked in (unfortunately we checked in before seeing the room and the hotel) and since we canceled the booking through ***********, *********** lost any subsequent opportunity to influence the owner to return the money to us. The owner only returned to us the part we paid for the room at a late check-out. If we had been smarter and inspected the room and hotel area before check-in and asked to cancel our booking, the owner would have had to return 100% of the money to us and pay the difference between the booking of our replacement hotel. If you want a 4 * hotel experience in Phuket, then 8IK88 resort is the last place I recommend you visit.

The hosts and the staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. During our stay, we felt at home. The food was authentic and delicious, full of local herbs and veggies. The hotel is proving that Phuket, as an island, still has so much to offer. The hosts gladly share the local tips and help with the organization of excellent sightseeing tours. Localization close to nature ensures a peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking sunrises. The resort also fulfills all boujee needs (bathrooms and bedrooms with a sea view) for a fair price. The size of the resort also works in favor of a peaceful and calm atmosphere. The resort provides free transport to 7Eleven and the closest pier. Organization, communication, atmosphere, amenities, localization, and experience are simply on point!

We stopped here for coffee and were blown away by the most amazing view and then great coffee and highly recommend the honey toast. The owner was delightful filling our water bottles and adding ice - highly appreciated. If you go for coffee make sure you go to the bathroom!!
