"The hotel is advertised as an upscale 5-star establishment, but it doesn't live up to this claim. While the staff was friendly, they generally seemed insufficiently qualified and untrained, which was noticeable in the service on several occasions. There was an ant colony in the room, which is absolutely unacceptable in this hotel category. The fruit provided in the room (mango) was sour and clearly not fresh. Breakfast and the hotel's restaurant were also below average and didn't offer the quality one would expect from a 5-star hotel. In addition, the service left much to be desired – empty dishes were sometimes left uncleared. The location is very quiet, the beach is beautiful, but there's nothing in the immediate vicinity – no restaurants or entertainment options whatsoever. The only somewhat upscale restaurant is located in the nearby beach club. On the plus side, the hotel is close to the airport (about a 30-minute drive). We only stayed two nights and, in retrospect, were glad we hadn't booked a longer stay. Conclusion: For the price asked, there is clearly too little performance and it's not a true 5-star experience."

"We recently spent a wonderful few days at Kalima Resort and had an exceptionally pleasant experience. The service truly stands out. We were able to check in around 1 PM, even though the official check-in time was 3 PM, which was a very welcome relief after our journey. All the hotel staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. You can feel the high level of service and a genuine desire to make guests' stays comfortable. The breakfasts here are simply magnificent – some of the best we've had in Thailand. There's a huge selection of dishes to suit every taste: a variety of pastries, a chocolate fountain, Nutella and peanut butter, several types of meat, fish, sushi rolls, chicken shawarma, and much more. Everything is beautifully presented, and the dishes are constantly replenished; nothing runs out, even closer to the end of breakfast service. We stayed in a sea-view room, and this view was the highlight of our stay at the hotel. The panorama is so breathtaking that it feels like you're on an observation deck with a nearly 240-degree view. The glass balconies and floor-to-ceiling panoramic doors allow you to enjoy the sea even without leaving your room. The room itself is very cozy and pleasant, and the hotel grounds are well-maintained, green, and very photogenic. The pool is nice and comfortable, although the stunning views remained the main draw of the hotel for us. The location is also good: if you're traveling by scooter or car, you can reach Patong in just a few minutes. Walking isn't very convenient, but this wasn't a drawback for us. Kalima Resort left us with very fond memories. It's a place we'd love to return to for the amazing views, excellent service, and truly luxurious breakfasts."

"## Disappointed for the resort reception tours, sightseeing and taxi service ## Don't book taxi, island or sightseeing tours from resort reception 1. We booked taxi to the airport, they took all the payment in advance. 2. The driver was very rash. She kept talking and texting on the phone all the way. When we asked her to stop, she rudely responded okay, but anyways kept checking her WhatsApp messages while driving. Attaching photos of the van for proof. 3. The resort reception booked phi phi island day tour for us, promised a kayaking boat, limited people on speedboat but to our disappointment - - the boat was full of people with not enough space to sit. Many had to stand - the lunch place at phi phi was below average, too much crowd again with no space to sit. - no kayaking boat was provided at island as promised. They asked to pay extra after arriving at the island. Name: only one phuket tours company - no refund was provided. - resort reception turns deaf if you go with feedback. - All the smiles and welcome disappear after you make the payment ------------ For the resort stay: 1. You can order food from outside but cannot eat inside your room. They don't provide plates or cutlery. 2. No microwave to heat your food 3. You can't cook anything inside, like basic cup noodles even."
