Great location, right in the heart of 5th Avenue. Staff were lovely. The pool was amazing. Highly recommend this hotel

I stayed at the palm the end of January for a solo birthday trip.. the hotel is near everything! Walmart is three blocks up and the beach is two blocks down. Security was always at the entrance, the area was safe and comfortable. Check in/check out was fast and simple. My room was clean, my tv did not have a remote but the desk rep went and found me one.. tv had Netflix for the nights I wanted to relax. The WiFi is not the strongest and a little hard to connect.. the rooftop was chill and fairly empty.. overall I enjoyed my stay very much and will definitely book again.

Outdated hotel, in a very load area.
On the good side very close to the beach and all the shopping and restaurants.
Not super service minded staff, but we got what we needed.

I was skeptical after all the bad reviews i read about this property. The palm at playa exceeded my expectations it was a pleasant surprise the location, the staff , the room was huge and the parking on site was a great added bonus. Romeo the security was great always very attentative to our needs always with a smile. The pool in roof top is nice they offer and 2x1 happy hour drinks. The hotel is a bit old so the furniture is not new or modern but everything was spotless and the comfort because of the spacious room was nice. The hotel is close to everything and we always felt safe. If you are in a buget and looking for a nice hotel without breaking the bank The palm at playa is perfect. We will back soon

I didn't like the lobby bathrooms the four sinks were out of service during all my stay, unacceptable.
No spa anymore. Wmin my previous stay the spa was super good.
No hot water in the jacuzzi, per new administration they decided to turn off the hot water in the roof deck jacuzzi.
No umbrellas on the roof deck, before they had plenty of them.
The attitude of the personal was not friendly, especially at the front desk.
AC in the bedroom suite didn't cool.

For the price you can’t beat the location… walking distance to all… beach, restaurants, mall, shopping, public transportation (ADO terminal is walking distance, by Walmart) that has buses on a 24 hour schedule. We took a bus to Cancun at almost midnight and it was totally safe. The hotel is close to 5th Ave so you can hear music from the local clubs. Once in your room you can really hear it, unless your a light sleeper you may not like the night life noise. We had to check out early but had an all day excursion booked. The hotel staff allowed us to leave our luggage until we returned from the excursion around 10p. We didn’t feel like our luggage was being left in a secure area. It was just an empty unlocked room across from reception. We took our most valuable like our passports with us to be safe if anyone has access and went thru our belongings. They assured us our things would be safe, and I cannot dismiss that all was just as we left it when we came back. If you need to leave your things here, I would advice not to leave behind valuables. Just to be safe. The room was spacious and clean. We were cold the first night and the bed only had one thin sheet. Next night we asked for blanquets and that resolved that issue. I also noticed the 2 times I showered that the hot water in our room lasted 5 mins before cold water started to come out. Wish it lasted longer as the showers are great and I would have enjoyed a longer shower.

The location of the hotel was great! The staff was nice and made check in and out easy. It was also nice having a security guard in the front. The room was good for what we paid for, but the the shower could’ve been cleaned better. But overall it was was a good stay and it was a sufficient enough
