Not the Hilton Experience During a Family Memorial Trip I stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton Port St. Lucie – Tradition for a family memorial trip, and unfortunately the experience took away from time meant for family. The first room had a moldy odor, dirty grout, chipped paint, rust on fixtures and appliances, and stains on the carpet, curtains, and windows. There were holes in window screens and a live roach in the elevator that flew onto a family member. On day two, the closet door in the first room fell off its hinges, and we were moved to another room that was only slightly better. It still had rusted appliances, a detached dishwasher, and bed sheets that didn’t fit properly. The staff were polite and understanding and acknowledged that the stay did not meet brand standards. I was told the property is on the list for renovation, which is needed as soon as possible. The hotel provided a credit for one night, and ******* offered a partial refund for the rest. Breakfast is advertised for three hours on weekends and four on weekdays, but hot food runs out quickly, so it’s best to go early. The staff tried to help, but this property urgently needs updates to meet expectations.

Everything was excellent from check in to check out. Parking was easy and seemingly safe, having the standard size refrigerator was an extra benefit, and the bed was very comfortable. Close to eating and shopping. Great value for the money. Highly recommended.
