A wonderful stay at a lovely property. Check-in was quick and friendly. We had reserved a junior suite with a jacuzzi bath (to help my back at the end of a long day) and were not disappointed! Our room was up a couple of flights of (wide) stairs, but well worth it -- perhaps one of the largest rooms that I have stayed in in all my years of travelling. The period furniture tasteful and perfectly in keeping with the building. We were lucky enough to have a small balcony (including a table and two chairs) that looked out onto Celetna - perfect for an early morning coffee, an evening glass of wine, or just people-watching after a long day. We weren't aware that our room would also include a private little kitchenette, complete with a coffee maker, cutlery, crockery, a small refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher, all of which were well-used during our stay. I had worried a little when booking U Zlateho jelena that there might be street noise because of its central location. However, this is countered through a set of double doors (for access to the balcony) or double windows (the other side of the balcony). We had no issue with street noise. The mattress was very comfortable and the bedding of a high-quality. The bathroom itself included both a rain shower and the jacuzzi tub, all of which worked perfectly. The bathroom alone was the size of a single bedroom! Breakfast was included in our room rate and it was lovely. Served in its own little room, there was always a good mix of hot and cold choices, everything from scrambled eggs and bacon to fresh fruits, cereals, and various Czech pastries. And who would say no to a cold glass of rose prosecco to start the morning? Lovely courtyard too, This is a classy, family-run property. The owner often mans the breakfast room himself whilst his daughter takes care of the front desk. I have been to Prague many, many, times, and this was one of my most memorable and delightful stays. Thank you; we will return!
