The waterfront and mangroves are beautiful.
The staff is friendly, but clearly not excited to be there.
The hotel is neighbors with a nightclub that has a bass line that can move furniture, and does until all hours of the night.
Reception is in the middle of a bunch of room entrances and is constantly noisy and apparently the meeting place for all groups of all sizes, at all hours of the day.
The place is noisy and not relaxing at all.

For the price, I was expecting a lot more. The rooms were clean and nice however nothing special. My room lock didn’t work which I would’ve thought would be fixed prior to guests. The restaurant location is great overlooking the water however the food was just ok. They had no beef available and my lobster was overcooked. Bikes were available which was great.
Overall, not worth the price.

Excellent service! Beautiful location...right on the water with a lovely deck and restaurant just a short walk to other restaurants and shops and easy to get a taxi anywhere else. Make sure to have the staff schedule your taxi to the airport - you can have the driver accompany you on the ferry and bus and help with your bags all the way to the airport - definitely worth it!

I enjoyed my stay here. The property is beautiful and in a great location. Seeing the wildlife around the property was the best part! The restaurant was very good as well!

very good location. well priced. good value. great ocean view. great restaurant. AC broken and management worked very hard at night and successfully fixed it. Rob's review seemed to unfairly hold hotel responsible for tour leaders faults.

We stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. The location is great, at the quiet end of town near the Charles Darwin centre, away from the bar *****, right on the water and surrounded by mangroves, with a constant supply of sea lions, iguanas, pelicans, frigate birds and other birds to keep you entertained. We stayed in the Darwin room, which is really spacious, with a lovely sea-view balcony. Definitely worth paying extra for. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, the food and service always good. Santa Cruz is not the most beautiful of the islands but has lots of great attractions and is a perfect base for exploring other nearby islands on day trips. We did day trips to North Seymour and Bartolome and both were excellent. We chose a land-based holiday (ie staying in hotels rather than living on a boat) because we didn’t want to be stuck on a small boat with a group of people we didn’t know and might not get on with, and wanted more space and privacy. Very happy with that choice.

Hired a tour to go to Garrapatero beach with my family of 7 thru the hotel for 670 dollars. The driver and the guide left us stranded in the beach and took off without our consent. We had to hitch a ride in the bed up a pick up truck to get back, halfway thru the ride we saw the bus returning, we stopped and boarded the bus whose driver said that the guide was sick and he had to take him back. Later on that afternoon my family went in another tour to another beach and much to our surprise the tour guide was the same guy that skipped on us that morning! When I complained to the manager and demanded to get my money back I was subjected to all kinds of bad faith evasive and insulting arguments specially from somebody who identified himself in a Wassap exchange as “the majority shareholder of the company that owns the building were the hotel operates” Stay away from the place!

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the staff was over the top in excellence, especially the Front Desk. I know that ********** offers photos of rooms for easy selecting; but the one I chose was a bit misleading and so I was only slightly disappointed in the view that we got versus what was shown on the site. After a large party left, we were able to upgrade to the suite with the panoramic picture window of the bay which was exceptional. Thanks to the hotel’s front desk, they arranged for the upgrade and actually moved our luggage in for us once the room was ready. We came back from our adventures that day to an incredible room. The restaurant is also fantastic with its delicious food and incredibly friendly staff. Needless to say, the room’s bed, view, temperature, quietness and water pressure were perfect. The hotel offers a convenient snack shop with free filtered water. And the wildlife watching is not to be dismissed with its population of iguanas, seals and crabs. The hotel is also within walking distance to everything in town. Obviously, I would recommend staying here, it was absolutely amazing.
