Hotel Lago Titicaca needs some serious renovations to claim they are a 5 star hotel. Service at the front desk was not too friendly and the restaurant seemed to follow behind which might require looking at the entire team. They have a property that is capable of being truly remarkable but ownership and management just don’t know how to make that happen. Very sad.

Nice lake view and good location away from downtown. There was loud music/ performance at night (before 11pm) tho
Staying at GHL Titicaca was a memorable experience, mainly because of its stunning location on the shores of Lake Titicaca. The hotel itself is built with a rustic, yet modern aesthetic, offering guests a serene escape. The overall atmosphere is calm, making it a perfect retreat after a long day of exploring the nearby attractions. The expansive views of the lake are absolutely breathtaking, and the property's architecture blends well with the natural surroundings. LOCATION: The hotel's location is one of its strongest points. Situated directly on the edge of Lake Titicaca, it offers unparalleled views of the lake, especially at sunrise and sunset. It's also fairly close to the city center, making it easy to access nearby shops, restaurants, and local attractions. However, it’s a bit isolated, so if you want to explore the area, you’ll need to rely on a car or taxi. DINE + DRINK: The dining experience at GHL Titicaca is quite good, with a mix of Peruvian and international dishes. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, and the staff is attentive. Breakfast is well-reviewed, offering a variety of fresh options. The choice of drinks are decent, and the hotel’s bar offers a cozy spot to relax, with mindblowing views. ROOM: We stayed in Room 200, which was a SUITE room, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: Million dollar views of the magical lake; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: good quality toiletries FACILITIES: The hotel offers a solid range of facilities, including a spa, a fitness center, and an outdoor terrace with sweeping views of the lake. SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout-out to PAUL at the bar and ANASTASIO and JOHANN at the restaurant for hosting us wonderfully! HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Big Smart TV(one each in the living room and bed room) dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in multiple languages

Stayed for two nights in order to see and visit Lake Titicaca. Check in process smooth. Room was a decent size. View over the lake was fantastic though the old windows could be noisy when the wind blew in a certain direction. Bed comfortable but the bath tub was tiny! No USB ports. Breakfast was very good and staff very attentive. The hotel was quiet when we stayed and was quite soulless. On occasions the looped music was off putting around the bar and we struggled to get drinks - had to go a couple of times to reception before getting served. I guess at busier times there may well be more staff on. The location and position above the lake is fabulous with panoramic views of the lake, Uros floating islands and the town of Puno. Overall a great place to stay when visiting the lake but the hotel is looking a bit dated.
Response from Property: Dear Captain Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your recent stay with us. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the stunning views of Lake Titicaca and that the check-in process was smooth. We appreciate your comments regarding the room size and comfort, as well as the fantastic breakfast and attentive staff. However, I apologize for the noise from the windows and any inconvenience you experienced while trying to get drinks at the bar. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will address these issues with our team to ensure a better experience for our guests in the future. We understand that the ambiance can sometimes feel lacking, especially during quieter times, and we are continually working to enhance our guests' experience. Thank you once again for your insights. We hope to welcome you back for another visit to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Lake Titicaca. Sincerely, Oswaldo Soto General Manager GHL Hotel Lago Titicaca

This is a very very comfortable hotel, I have seen comments about its age but really it's an excellent option. The bar and restaurant are great, with professional staff and a wonderful menu. Front desk is superb, linens and bedding are really first class. Only one thing which is an easy fix: the billiard table (very tight pockets, cues in good condition) is not level. It could be improved in a few minutes. I mentioned it to the staff so let's hope that all who enjoy the game will benefit from the attention.
Response from Property: Dear Georgeh Thank you for your thoughtful review! We're delighted to hear that you found GHL Lago Hotel comfortable and enjoyed the stunning views. Your feedback about our bar, restaurant, and professional staff is greatly appreciated, as we strive to provide excellent service and a memorable dining experience. We also appreciate your suggestion regarding the billiard table. Our team will look into leveling it to enhance the experience for all our guests who enjoy a game. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We hope to welcome you back soon for another enjoyable stay! Sincerely, Oswaldo Soto General Manager GHL Hotel Lago Titicaca

I was visiting with my family, it was an unforgettable experience since reception Kasandra and Lesly were very kind to give me an upgrade to a suite, in the restaurant Johan recommended delicious dishes and Paul at the bar prepared us the best pisco sour. The view of the lake, the sunset and sunrise are beautiful and the reception team very friendly and attentive to our requests.

We had 2 nights in this lovely hotel. The location is fairly special. On "its own island", connected to the land, and a short drive from Puno. There are stunning views over the lake from both sides of the hotel so, wherever your room, you'll get a great view. The rooms were big, clean and comfortable. but ours certainly was looking tired and needs some updating; we had only one bedside table and no bedside lamps. The public areas are spacious and very nice. The service throughout is excellent and the restaurant, though very good, was busy. They have an excellent menu for dinner and a superb spread for breakfast. It's easy and safe to go for a walk around the hotel grounds, a great place for runners, if you can manage in the altitude, and we saw the Andean Fox twice and plenty of hares, guinea pigs (not for eating) and alpacas.
