First time visitor to Egypt, and loved every minute. The reception lobby is a big space, clean and tidy, although other parts of the hotel look a little tired, our room was spacious, with a good size balcony overlooking the 'quiet pool' away from the Aqua Park pool. The shower water pressure wasn't great, and the hotel did come and look at it, but nothing could be done to improve it. That said, it didn't negatively affect our stay. The bed was big and comfortable with plenty of pillows. We paid for WiFi (about a tenner) but it was a bit hit and miss, struggled to connect away from the reception lobby, I'd suggest getting an esim for the duration of your stay. We stayed for 10 days and the food was really good, if a little repetitive. The staff in the restaurant were great, friendly and polite.... the guys around the pool were brilliant and really looked after us, especially Ibrahim (the life guard/Freddie Mercury lookalike!) absolute gent, and a top man. If you stay around the pool you will be asked everyday about visiting the spa etc., but the guys are polite and after a little chat they thank you for your time and move on. Not rude at all. The beach was a 60 second walk, with beds and towels, as well as a bar and small dining area serving burgers and hot dogs. The location for us was fine. A few shops on site at the hotel, but also a small parade of shops at the gate. Plenty of taxis flying up and down the road, but a short 10 minute stroll and you will find more small shops as well as Arabbucks, and Motion bar/restaurant, both were great. There's a Hard Rock Cafe and McDonald's just a couple of minutes further, not that we visited either. The area wasn't too busy when we visited, but it was just before school holidays and as we left, it was beginning to get busier. Overall, the staff at the hotel were great, the location suited us, but Naama Bay and Soho Square are a taxi ride away, about 15-20 minutes. The food was good quality but a little repetitive, but certainly nothing wrong with it. The restaurant occasionally ran out of plates, cups, glasses but after a minute or two the staff had it sorted. The WiFi wasn't great, but you don't go on holiday to spend 2 weeks on your phone! The pools were decent, but we stayed around the quieter pools near the main restaurant rather than the Aqua Park. The weather was fantastic and foe the price we paid, absolutely nothing wrong with Regency Plaza.... if you want tk spend a couple of grand more to stay at another hotel in the same area you can do, but I don't think you'll get a couple of grands worth of difference.

Good hotel! Not the best one but who was in Egypt that knows that they are different like in Europe but the staff is very lovely and friendly and they try to do everything for guests. The hotel has a very lovely beach, this I recommand for families but even for young couples/peoples as well because it worth. The breakfast is nearly similar every morning but for lunch and dinner always you can find something good. And I realy recommand the Vitamins ice cream shop!!! What they doing there it is amasing! So tasty ice creams, crepes, waffles and smoothies and they are from real fruits! And the staff is so friendly and they speaking very good english. Just try it!!! We very in the end of february-beginning of march and it was so windley but when the tempeture is around 24-26°c then is a real summer. So I higley recommand!

The feed back says it all. Personally the hotel grounds are reasonable and workers continue with their works daily. The hotel staff especially the front desk and waiters are ignorant and absolutely hopeless. It is not busy and they cannot cope. The food is the same rubbish daily, beef is OK but that's it. Breakfast is a joke and we go to McDonald's as it is that poor. An all inclusive with more than half the food and drinks you have to pay for unless you paid VIP. We only came for a break after cancer treatment and boy wish we had stayed with the bedouin people in the desert. The rooms are old, battered, shower takes half hour, mosquitoes enter rooms at will as the patio doors have gaps and don't shut correctly. Broken floor tiles in the room etc. Absolute waste of money. If you have booked here, cancel and go to a hotel not a hovel. Note the owners were here today and believe they looked happy with themselves. Should of gone in the rooms and tried their crap food. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. YOU WILL REGRET COMING HERE.

Just back from this great hotel as a group of 5 we had 3 rooms. Huge grounds lots of nice green gardens immaculately kept. Pretty bridges and ornamental decorations making great photo opportunities. Pools were spotless and although cold very refreshing, there is a heated pool in the aqua Park with plenty of sunbeds. Food is available everywhere literally, usual buffet restaurants with great choice alongside an outside chef providing an assortment of omelette and eggs at breakfast and tasty stir frys at night. Themed night made the buffet interesting Chinese, Mexican, Caribbean. Staff attentive clearing plates and serving drinks whilst assisting guests with mobility problems. There are plenty of food outlets around the complex. Pizza pasta place near the pool serving dishes to order some having a small surcharge a couple of pound at the most. Burger and hotdogs at the beach with salad and chips freshly made. Sharma and chips at the aqua Park beef or chicken. Seafood restaurant on the beach open during the day and evening also a small surcharge. A pub style diner with food available til 2am at a small charge. Bars everywhere in the pools, lobby terrace, pub diner and later after 9 in the grotto. Cocktails beer and local spirits usual all inclusive. Vodka was vile bring your own and just get ur mixers. Wine only included in the restaurants for free. Coffee machines available 24 hours near the terrace bar. Staff amazing attentive and friendly throughout the whole hotel cleaners, bar staff waiters, receptionists, shop keepers, spa staff and salon staff all work hard with a smile. Spa was lovely we had Turkish baths with a massage and reflexology. Facials at the salon with a blow dry was cheap and really good. Plenty of tour guides round the pool to advise without being too pushy and tatoo Bob is great painting henna on guests round the pool whilst chatting and making people laugh. Big shout out to the pool guy at the main pool who got us beds together each morning. No children in our group but lots of facilties for them, kids clubs parks slides go karts bouncy castles water park. Beach beautiful lots of beds around the clear water with a pier to snorkel off. Sports available on the beach as well as dancing with the staff Shops in the lobby selling bags shoes jewellery snacks and lotions and potions. Just outside the hotel are shops within 5 mins walking. Great place to eat just down the road Arab Bucks food delicious and really cheap. Hard Rock cafe macdonalds kfc all within walking distance. Tips, buy the WiFi as all hotel info is on the App you need WiFi to book restaurants. Toilets near lobby bar by the shops but not signposted. Take a taxi to Farsha cafe in the Old Town is so nice situated overlooking the sea. Go an hour before sunset watch the views and the place light up. Overall a fantastic week only bad point was leaving.

I booked Regency Plaza for my wife’s 40th birthday and contacted the hotel in advance to request a decorated room on arrival. Unfortunately, they said they couldn’t do it that day but would arrange it for the next—however, it never happened. Which was very disappointing. There were several issues with our room. The balcony door wouldn’t shut and was never fixed, the lights in the kids' room didn’t work and weren’t repaired, although the shower, which was also faulty, was eventually sorted. Reception was not helpful, often unable to provide answers to our questions. The disco and evening music / entertainment only catered for Russians which to be completed honest were rude and abrupt from walking into you to pushing in queues for food/drinks!! On the positive side, the aqua park staff were fantastic—friendly and always helpful. From those putting our towels out to who I believe was the pool manager!! Housekeeping did a great job, and the towel displays for the children were a lovely touch. However, the food and rooms were very basic, and it was disappointing that the à la carte fish restaurant required an extra charge, as did canned beers. Overall, while some staff went above and beyond, the service and room quality let the experience down.
