It happened to be the Dragon Boat Festival when I stayed at Shanhaiguan Wanghai Resort. The reception was warm and gave me a bracelet to ward off evil spirits. The breakfast was delicious and I ate rice dumplings. The room was tidy and clean. The cleaning lady responded to my requests and gave me a few more bottles of mineral water. I felt like a guest in the resort. It is very close to the Laolongtou Scenic Area and it is very convenient to walk there. In particular, there are four small buildings of the Eight-Power Allied Forces Barracks, which are national key cultural relics protection units, and there are sweet and bitter wells with different underground water quality within ten meters. For me, who loves to visit ancient sites, it is an unexpected surprise.

The restaurant only serves breakfast. It would be better to open for lunch and dinner too. Overall the hotel is very cost effective. The buffet breakfast is reasonably priced. The hotel isn't far from the major attractions like the old dragon head and the ancient city. The hotel staff is also very helpful

I really enjoyed my stay in Shanhaiguan area. The hotel has a very convenient location, just 5-10 minutes driver from major tourists attractions. The staff is friendly and helpful, they helped me using the washing machine and also kept my luggage after I checked out and went to explore the nearby Great Wall sections. The room was big and had all the necessary amenities such as slippers, kettle and cups. The room and bathroom were very clean, however, the bathroom is a bit old and might need some renovating. I asked for a non-smoking room but I still could smell the stench of smoking, but I didn't ask to change cause I thought that it would be the same for the other rooms since even in the hall there were people smoking freely. For one night it was okay and I would probably stay again at this hotel.

Every hotel staff is very enthusiastic and makes people feel comfortable. The environment is also great, and most importantly, it is clean and hygienic! This hotel is really worth the price. I will definitely come again next time I have the chance.

Really enjoyed my stay at this place! Had a free room upgrade to Superior Room and wow it is massive! The hotel staff were all do polite and there is a laundry room & gym, which quite meets my needs. The gym might be a bit shody, but it's functioning.

I was supposed to stay for two nights, but I checked out decisively after one night. This price is not worth it!
