MManyouyoudezouMy stay at the Hampton by Hilton Qinhuangdao Jinmenghaiwan was really good. First off, the front desk staff were warm, polite, and spoke courteously. They were very efficient with the check-in process. Even though it was freezing cold, the warm jujube tea offered by the staff instantly made me feel cozy. The room was clean, tidy, bright, and comfortable. The service from the 10th-floor staff was attentive, making me feel right at home!

GGuest UserThe hotel is very elegant in style. It is based on the culture of the Song Dynasty. It popularizes knowledge about tea and incense in the hall and corridors, just like a small cultural center. There is also a garden, Qie Si Garden, and the garden scenery is also elegant. I was given a gift and experienced the tea-making culture. Miss Mei Yu is very elegant and has good tea-making skills. Later, I learned that she was also teaching activities such as burning incense and flower arrangement. She is really a versatile lady. The location of the hotel is also great. It is inside the No. 2 gate of Yanda University. There is Maoye Shopping Mall nearby, which is very convenient for eating and drinking. It takes about 25 minutes to walk to Jinmeng Bay Beach.

__ZFB886588****An older hotel, but the facilities are still complete and the room was pretty clean. You can't expect too much from an old hotel. It's best to take a Didi (ride-hailing service) from the station; don't just jump into a shared ride, you might get ripped off. It's just outside the city wall, and I personally think staying here is more comfortable than inside the wall. Among the performances, only the iron flower show is worth seeing, but you absolutely need to get there early to secure a good spot, otherwise, you won't be able to watch. The commercial streets are all pretty much the same!

GG. Solo TravelerJ had a lovely stay at the Argyle resort and the fact that you just need to cross the parking lot to get to the Dongshan Bathing Spot is definitely amazing! There are some tourist attractions close by, but very far from historical sites.
The room was ok, but it looked different from the pictures. Probably a bit of mold on the wall or water damage, dirty windows, and a piece of the wardrobe door was broken. Not what I would expect at a resort.
The breakfast had so many options, but very few western choices, limited to sliced bread, butter and jam, yogurt, fruits and coffee. The coffee machine always had an issue, but the staff quickly came to fix it. During my stay there, everyday someone complained about the coffee maker.
One of the things that I found really nice is that every day they would bring or leave fruit in my room. But on the last day, I was sleeping, and someone came in. She did apologize, but it was weird having someone in your room while you’re there.
In terms of amenities, they have everything really! From shower cap to razors. And the blow dryer was really good!
Because it was golden week, the staff was overwhelmed with work (lots of guests and weddings) and they didn’t talk about the facilities - gym, pool, hot springs.

AAnonymous UserIt's been thirty years since I last visited Qinhuangdao, and the changes are immense during this revisit. I specifically chose the Shangri-La, which is near the old Beichen Resort. While it's not brand new, this long-standing five-star hotel still offers excellent service and facilities. Upon arrival, I was upgraded to a balcony room, which was spacious with an expansive view. I even caught the sunrise – truly an unbeatable sea view! The hotel breakfast, though slightly less varied in the off-season, was still good. The food at Qinxiangge was delicious and genuinely fresh, much better than the seafood restaurants on the north side of the road nearby. The hotel also provided bread to feed the seagulls, which was a lovely touch. The only minor issue was that on the second night, we could smell cigarette smoke in our bathroom, presumably from another room, so we dared not turn on the exhaust fan.

GGuest UserI recently stayed in room 3129 at this hotel and overall, I had a good experience. The location is excellent as it sits right in front of the beach. The hotel also has a hot spring which is a nice addition, although some areas were not functioning properly due to being broken.
The reception staff was very attentive and friendly, particularly one male employee. However, it seemed that the female staff members were not as willing to work.
I highly recommend trying the massage services offered at the hotel. I had a neck and back massage which left me satisfied.
The breakfast buffet was decent and the dining room supervisor and the reception staff at the buffet were friendly and hardworking. Most of the cooks and servers provided good service.
I would also recommend paying for the dinner buffet as it offers a wide variety of seafood. The only downside was a young grill cook who lacked proper manners when I asked a question about the food. He responded lazily and rudely. Additionally, there was a young waitress with a tattoo on her leg who seemed uninterested in working. While the rest of her colleagues were cleaning and setting up tables, she would simply join them and sit down or play with her mobile phone.
In terms of the room, the cleanliness was below the minimum standard. It was quite neglected, as they only mopped the floor and it still wasn't clean. There were hairs from previous guests throughout the room. The private hot spring in the room could also use some improvement.

RRichterA true 5 Star experience. The room is top notch with a large window overlooking the sea. Service is outstanding in all categories. Breakfast is full and rich. The hotel dinner buffet is so extraordinary that I say you must try it at least once! We were amazed at the variety of dishes and the quality. Hotel location is perfect. Just a few minutes walk and you can have your feet in the sand or water. The Qinhuang Alley Food Street is also within walking distance or very short cab ride. This food street is very lively and fun to visit especially in the evening. Two other recommendations for things to do are Lao Long Tou (Old Dragon Head) which you can get to by cab. And if you are a fan of the Olympics you really should visit Olympic Avenue Park. Amazing relief sculpture wall over 300 meters long portraying Olympic history. Must be seen to be believed. Thank you to all the friendly and professional staff and chefs at Grand Hotel Qinhuang for making our 4 night stay so enjoyable. Qinhuangdao is a wonderful city with so many different things to do and experience we hope we can return again.

YYumendelierenWhen checking in, all the staff at the front desk (at least four) were not very kind, not enthusiastic at all, mechanical, and it was obvious that there was a lack of training and disorderly. During the processing process, I asked me to pay a 200 deposit. I said that the food bar in the room was charged. I was afraid that the guests would not pay for it. I decisively refused and clearly told me that I would not eat. The staff at the front desk immediately changed their faces from mechanical processing to ignoring... I just made do with it for one night. What to say, I found out that the room next door was a wedding room. It would be very noisy early the next morning. In order to rest well, I asked for a room change. A staff member who changed the room for me made me feel like a spring breeze. It should be a deputy manager at the front desk (this kind of hotel position can't be so detailed, I have the impression that the badge shows this position), and I didn't have time to ask the name. Not only did I actively solve the problem, but also gave me two breakfasts, and the attitude was very good. To be honest, if it weren't for this staff, I wouldn't have five-star praise. DDamengmengAt the tail end of summer vacation, I finally fulfilled my dream of going to Beidaihe for a sea bath. Yuntinghai is a hotel with both distinct strengths and weaknesses. The strengths are that it's newly renovated, and the amenities in both the public areas and the rooms are all new and modern. Best of all, you can enjoy the private beach right outside the hotel, which is much cleaner than public bathing areas. The weaknesses are that the breakfast is unpalatable. While there's a wide variety of food, the selection isn't very broad. And how much water was added to the juice?! It doesn't taste like juice at all! The cost-saving approach is a lesson learned from your restaurant.

The beach is nice and surprisingly clean. Sadly there is a construction ongoing which splits the beach up causing a limited enjoyment.
Regarding the hotel. Amazing entrance!
The hotel is made for several 100, when not even 1000 people! But you can clearly see that this amount of visitors causes the material to dissolve. That's quite sad.
We went there in a high frequent moment. Causing reduced service availability and options but they try their best.
