Very nice staff. Hot water takes a bit, but was then alright.
Unfortunately WiFi was completely down, but I had a good book with me.
At 7.30 am you’ll hear traffic but the entire town is built need to a quite busy road.

We had a very disappointing two night stopover at the Hotel Alcatruz whist cycling along the Rota Vicentina route. The reception was empty when we arrived and when somebody turned up we were not made to feel welcome, more an inconvenience. The room was tiny and not particularly clean and breakfast in the café next door was rather chaotic, a case of getting orders in at the counter in-between the locals getting their morning coffee and pastries. The overall impression is that they do not need to make an effort with hotel guests as the café is always busy and there is a continuous supply of walkers who will stay for one night and move on.

Completely overpriced. Old room fit out, broken toilet flush, no hot water, damp room, basic breakfast. We needed a place to sleep but expected more for USD 125 the night.

We had to wait a while before being assisted at the reception upon our arrival because we couldn't find anyone working there. That didn't look very professional. The room we got was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. It also had a small balcony with a good view on the surrounding fields. Breakfast in the morning was rich and tasty. A wide selection of fruit (which however was served with only one fruit tong for all the different kind of fruit), bread, hot food and juices. We also had to wait a while before being able to leave the keys at the reception before departing. There should probably be someone at the reception at all times to ensure guests wouldn't have to wait.

Nice little hotel. Nothing really to fault. Good value, but not a bargain either. The one thing that did stand out was their Covid measures, which were sensible and well thought out.

L’hôtel est très pratique pour visiter l’Algarve tout en étant au calme. L’accueil et le service sont parfaits. La boulangerie à côté qui appartient à l’hôtel est incroyable. Le village d’Aljezur juste à côté est très sympa et il y a d’excellents restaurants de poissons.
