Sensation House

The hotel has a great location! Close to a train station and you’ll be in the coliseum in just 10 minutes by subway! It wasn’t super clean. Breakfast is super basic

I recently stayed at Sensation House during my visit to Rome, and while the place had its merits, there were a few significant drawbacks that left me disappointed. I believe it is essential to share my experience to help future travelers make informed decisions. Firstly, let's start with the positives. Sensation House boasts a decent location, which allowed for convenient access to popular attractions and public transportation. The overall ambiance of the place was pleasant, and the cleanliness standards were satisfactory. However, there were two significant issues that overshadowed these positive aspects. The first concern was the ineffective air conditioning system, which proved to be a major letdown considering the scorching heat in Rome during my stay. The A/C unit struggled to cool the room adequately, making it uncomfortable and difficult to relax or get a good night's sleep. This issue significantly impacted the overall experience and left me feeling dissatisfied. Another disappointment came in the form of the extra bed provided for my son. The bed was unbelievably small and the mattress, remarkably thin. It was far from comfortable, and my son had trouble sleeping on it. Given the price I paid for the room, I expected better quality and comfort for the additional bed. This aspect left a lasting negative impression on our stay. Moreover, considering the aforementioned issues, the price of the accommodation felt unjustifiably high.

In conclusion, my recent stay at Sensation House in Rome was marred by the ineffective air conditioning and the subpar extra bed provided. Considering these factors and the relatively high price, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend this establishment. However, with necessary improvements, Sensation House could become a more appealing option for future guests.

Very good location. Comfortable and clean room with a good sized on suite bathroom. The place is modern but showing signs of use. For example, broken toilet seat and shower head, the hairdryer wires were exposed and the kettle in the common area not working. The breakfast is very basic - just some prepackaged cakes and toast - and the coffee was awful. Could also do with more than 3 hangers in a double room.

Sensation House is located in a busy area which is close to restaurants, pharmacy, grocery, and a metro station which we like very much during our 2 day stay in Rome. The location can be a little noisy in the weekend, but it didn't bother us. The property is basically a large apartment in 2nd floor that has 5 rooms with private bath, and a common room. The bedroom, bathroom, and the common room are a little small. However it is sufficient for our short stay. The host was quite responsive as always and they are accessible vis email and WA. Other positive that we don't see here in North America, is the daily housekeeping.

Clean and large room with modern furniture and private bathroom in a flat turned guesthouse. Excellent position close to the metro station "Bologna". Lots of bars & restaurants nearby.The contactless check-in & check-out worked out perfectily and the free self-service breakfast was a welcome amenity.My only minor complaints would be that owing to COVID -19 room service was offered only every 3 days and that the bedding was only average ( a little too stiff for my liking).Overall, a great value for the price.
