Upon our arrival at the hotel at 1.45am the male receptionist who could barely speak English demanded our credit card, when we questioned why it was needed he said the card or 200 euro again we asked why and he flicked a cigarette lighter symbolling we could set fire to the room, we were reluctant to provide this so the male removed our wristbands and checking in details from the desk and would not allow us to check in unless we provided the card. We were forced to provide the credit card. We then had to sign to papers that were written in Spanish we did not understand what we were signing. 4 blue tokens were then produced for us to give an 8-euro deposit to use at the bar for drinks. We have never in all of our years of travelling had to provide a credit card, sign any papers and certainly not pay a deposit for tokens to get our drinks at the bar we had paid all inclusive our wristband proves that. Why the messing about with the tokens. We had to give the staff the token then they would give you a drink then if you wanted another drink you had to take the plastic cup back to the bar, if you didn't want another drink the staff gave you the token back. What a real pain and nuisance this was and totally unnecessary. I asked if it was possible to have extra pillows and was told no, 1 pillow per person and they did not have any more in the hotel. There was not enough umbrella's by the pool again I asked the rep Tracey if they had any more and she said no she had asked for some for another family and they would be getting more next year. It was very hot and we needed an umbrella during our stay not next year. On our first morning there was a long que waiting for eggs/omlettes to be cooked. I did speak to the manager and the next day some eggs/ omlettes had been readily cooked but just placed on the worktop not on a hotplate so they were cold. The eggs were not cooked properly There were flies and ants on the surfaces and on the food The bread kept on running out and the chef kept saying 5 minutes wait. More coffee machines are needed as always long ques There were no conserves at breakfast (did mention to the rep, provided it for 1 day) The food was at times luke warm or cold Food was not replenished and also salad was not replenished Lunch and Evening meals Food was not labeled Meat that was provided was raw particularly on the show cooking, some of it was inedible and on the whole the meat was of poor quality again, the food was not replenished. Chips were served in a very small tray for only a few servings and were cold and soggy ( so if you have got your food on your plate and the chips ran out you had to stand and wait a long time) There was cross contamination on the show cooking they cooked fish with meat. Pizza was either over cooked or only just cooked again waiting a long time once it had run out. Sweets were very poor fruit and just cake or ice cream Ice cream was not frozen it was half sloppy and half soft.

The food was often cold and the selection limited. Eggs consistently undercooked at breakfast. The rooms were clean and has good views of the pool area. The 4-star rating sets you up for disappointment. This hotel should be 3-star to set expectations appropriately.

Issue 1: Food Safety / Standards Firstly and most importantly the food served here is dangerous and is a major health risk. For over 4 days our family including children were served both raw chicken and raw beef. Other people within the hotel were also complaining about this. I also had an issue with the cleanliness of the area where the food was being served. Ants were often on the same surfaces as the food and just generally tatty areas. The quality and quantity of food on offer was very limited. Pizzas were also served uncooked with the Cheese barely melted. Fries were often soggy and greasy, often containing burnt black bits showing how old and unclean the cooking oil was. The salad bar consisted of lots of pickled vegetables that I'm sure were picked so that they could be just be put back in the fridge each day - a lack of fresh ingredients. The smell from the hotplate used for some of the cooking was unpleasant and could be smelt daily as if it had not been cleaned. One day outside I noticed a trolley that looked like it had been used to transport or store food and it was filthy. The chef apologised about the raw chicken and his excuse was that he was busy - too busy to make sure that raw, not just undercooked food was being served! I hope he wasn't too busy to wash his hands etc. Unfortunately the raw meat continued - this didn't just happen with the ‘freshly’ cooked meats from the hot plate but also with the Chicken Schnitzels, Pork and Burgers. The Jet2 rep was useless - offering to change us from All Inclusive to B&B but even then she was unable to arrange this for us and after fobbing us off for 48 hours she then ignored us. I wish I took more photos of the raw and substandard food to warn others. Having to spend 10 days eating at this hotel placed a real downer on the holiday - it felt more like a work canteen. Issue 2: Star Rating This is nowhere near a 4* Hotel. For some unknown reason you are not allowed to eat any food including the very limited and poor quality daytime snack menu outside - the rep informed me that this is because they are short staffed. Why would you want to leave the outside areas on a nice day to eat inside on your own in an empty dining room? The single bar is small and limited and does not sell any crisps or ice cream etc. Perhaps this is the only hotel in Spain not to sell ice creams at the hotel. If you or your children want to buy an ice cream or packet of crisps you have to leave the hotel and go to a shop. The lifts are tiny and one of the two broke down multiple times during our stay meaning that most people choose to use only one so there are often waits - they are also very old fashioned and do not fill you with confidence. The pool table, air hockey table and electronic dartboard were out of order for the majority of our stay. The children's play area was dated and also a hazard with missing floor tiles and more dangerously rusty screws sticking up from the seat. I hate to think about

We came for a short break. staff polite. hotel is generally clean room was lovely really big lots of storage shame there wasn’t a kettle there is a fridge and a very large comfortable bed. Towels changed daily all of which we appreciated shame Only 2 English programs to watch which were the news Located near the beach which is lovely soft sand and very clean. Lots of shops a restaurants nearby pools were lovely The food ! I’m sorry I have to say there is very little choice unless you like tuna salad and fruit. The food is not hot it’s barely warm I’ve never been anywhere that they fry an egg and leave it on a “hot plate” that is in-fact not hot . Only so called hot food I had was sausage but it wasn’t hot and it wasn’t cooked right through. I looked every night but nothing looked appetising. Lots of People were unhappy with the quality and quantity of the food. There was soup everyday which could have been labelled anything because it was tasteless . That being said I would recommend this hotel for everything else it offers but as it is right now I suggest bed and breakfast I’m Sorry this isn’t a glowing review but it is my honest opinion

Looking back from our experience; previous reviews are rather exaggerated. Rooms were clean and staff very friendly and helpful. I’ll admit the selection of food isn’t a seller but we found no issues with the cooking. Not much more we could ask for. Enjoyable experience!

Positive points: walking distance to the beach, nice staff in the bar. We spent almost two weeks in the hotel and we have to say that it does not pull 4 stars. The food is a very weak point in this hotel: they don't even have small utensils for honey and jams. It was very often difficult to find something to eat. Not all the rooms in the hotel are renovated. The suites are much smaller than the 45 m2 as stated on the hotel website. Many suites do not have a window in the sleeping room. The hotel manager can be quite aggressive towards customers. I heard him talking to customers and it was just unacceptable. To pay for all inclusive at this hotel doesn’t make sense at all. Overall the value for money for the hotel is poor.

Ignore poor reviews! We are currently here, and I have to say I was anxious before coming after reading a few of the recent reviews. Well, I didn't need to worry. We were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist and given the key to our room, which is spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool area is great, with a life guard on duty and an outdoor bar with very friendly staff. We are on a bed and breakfast basis and breakfast is fine, everything you would expect from a Spanish hotel breakfast spread. The only issue I have is with the area, not the hotel. All the restaurants are of quite a basic standard, it was our wedding anniversary while here and we wanted to go out for a nice meal and really struggled to find somewhere a little bit special. Everywhere is much the same with quite basic menus. No issues with the hotel whatsoever and I would happily recommend to others

The manager and his staff on the whole were excellent (especially Lucy on reception) with the exception of the so called life guard .He was never on his station as he spent most of his time shouting to the bar staff or actually sitting the bar having a laugh with his "friends". Couldn,t see why he was even there. Finally we were "all inclusive" but felt the need to eat out 4 nights out of 7 ,the food on offer was so unappetizing ,luke warm and unappealing.I don,t think we will be returning.A lovely hotel let down by things which would be easily remedied

We are a Family with 2 older kids (teen and 20s). When we arrived, there was a mix up with the time we could check in, and the booking. The friendly reception staff soon sorted this out and we were given our room cards. Rooms very spacious and clean and were cleaned everyday. Pool area clean and pool was never too busy, despite it being smaller than most pools we looked at. Separate adult pool area for those not wanting to be near the few children with inflatables. Food wise, we were B&B. Breakfast catered for all, cooked breakfast, pastries, cereal, yoghurts, fruit, cold meats and cheese. Tea and coffee machine, and lots of fruit juices. Entertainment on 3 days out of our 7. The staff were lovely and we felt welcome. Our expectations were that of a small quiet hotel, and that’s what we got. Would stay here again. And we have no affiliation to the hotel, as previously suggested.
