As our very first time to Egypt, we were nervous, and noticed our hotel had bad reviews, but so do a lot of hotels so we stuck with it, and we were not disappointed!! This hotel is further away from main hurgahda but we loved the area, and travel is cheap and easy so doesn’t matter. Hotel is on its own pretty beach with beatiful coral and fish, lovely beach bar, the sea almost comes up to your feet in the evening as the sun goes down ! Found it quite magical. Pool and pool bar are nice with short bits of games through the day, quite quiet in between. The restaurant was clean and food was ok. As it’s all inclusive can be repetitive, but that’s the norm I think and is something for everyone. Staff do tend to your table (for tips) or can easily say no thanks. Rooms are quite traditional and this is not one of the larger more modern hotels, but I think this added to the charm. Definitely a little secret gem. Loved it so much going back soon !!! The Beaty and atmosphere of the beech area and beech bar by far our way it being big and modern. Food is very cheep outside hotel also so lots of options. Food at beech bar you pay for and is very nice

If you are looking for a beautiful sea with corals and fish where you can snorkel all day, a wide sandy beach with beach beds quite apart from each other to give you enough privacy, a great beach bar - lounge with comfortable couches and sitting begs to relax in the shade, pleasant spacious rooms, nice pool and gardens, and friendly smiling stuff everywhere you go, then this might be your place. We just spent a great vacation here and will be coming back next year. Accommodation is in spacious apartments in several houses in the garden, ground floor and first floor only, providing privacy and space. I recommend booking rooms with a sea view, the view is really worth it. These rooms are also newly renovated. The selection of dishes in the restaurant is somewhat smaller than in some other hotels, on the other hand, there are also fewer people and no hassle. However, all dishes were very tasty and everyone can choose their favorite. Fresh-made eggs and pancakes for breakfast made our mornings very enjoyable, pasta station for lunch and dinner where you can personalize your meal, freshly baked mini pizzas or special buns, a good selection of vegetables and salads, a special cook (my favorite) making salads and appetizers on request, tasty deserts... You can definitely enjoy the food there as well. Next to the beach bar, you can order all kinds of excursions, snorkeling and diving trips. We had a small private boat, going from a private marina just by the hotel to the island with two snorkeling stops and it was really wonderful. You can also order a camel ride at sunset, which I also highly recommend. There is a gym and a beauty salon on the premises. During the day and in the evening there is an offer of animation programs, but really only for those interested, if you don't want to participate, you don't know about them at all, they are not too noisy, the beach is quiet and the evening program is right next to the restaurant, if you want to take a peek or sit in a stylish bar and watch the program from there, everything is possible. We went to the hotel with my son and with friends who come back here every year again and again and I can see why... it's a really relaxing and peaceful place. I believe you can find happiness there... at least for a while. And maybe even something more... new friends... just let them know... even after the holidays :-)

Very bad service, specially reception and manager, they don’t care if you are with small kids or not, they treat guests very bad, they ruined my vacation because of their arrogance and terrible communication. They ask you to pay what you already payed for, just wanna take money and don’t care for guests!! Very bad

The worst hotel for cleanliness I've ever stayed in, in Egypt in 30 years. Ripped and stained bedding and towels, under the bed were empty bottles and very dirty, shower was filthy and full of mould. Bedding only changed twice in 30 days. guests dirty towels left outside rooms on floor. A bird had died outside our room entrance and was there in 30+c for a week. Food is very basic and very limited choices. Staff unfriendly you just seem to be a inconvenience if you ask for your safe to be opened in reception. Water is limited to 2 300ml bottles a day and you even have to go to opposite end of hotel to collect this and then go to one of 2 dispensers in resort but this is outside and very warm. The glass panels around the pool are full of weeks of bird droppings ans was the children's slide into the pool, very dirty sun loungers and tables around pool area. It's such a shame as this could be a wonderful hotel it just seems they really don't care. Half facilities were out of order too and we were made aware of this fact 48 hours prior to arrival. So all in all after visiting 3 times a year for 30 years this has been the worst hotel ever

I was in Lotus Bay for 1 week from 12th January returning on 19th January. I booked with Travel Republic – return flight was with EasyJet and I stayed in Lotus Bay, Safaga, Hurgada. Cost was £480 flight plus full board accommodation came to £480. On arrival in Egypt you will need to pay £25 in cash for your visa. Travel Republic booked the transfer with Sun International - that was about £20 going to the hotel and back. I was given a twin bedded room with a terrace giving onto the gardens. It was so peaceful and absolutely lovely. The weather was 25 degrees every day when it was freezing cold in London …. It was not the busy season and the hotel was fairly quiet. Food was excellent as always: a great variety of delicious meals, salads and sweets. During the week I took the opportunity to visit Luxor. The cost for that trip was £85.00 per person. That included entrances to temples and also a great lunch by the Nile. I also did a 30 mn Nile journey for an extra £10 - a must. We left the hotel at 5.30 am returning by 9 pm but the effort was well worth it. Our guide Wael was full of knowledge and enthusiasm. He told us everything he knew about Ancient Egypt as well as the Egypt of today starting from Abdul Nasser who nationalised the Suez canal. Whilst in Luxor we visited the Karnak temple with its magnificent pillars that seem to reach the sky and the many statues of Ramses II. We then went to the Valley of the kings. An area I had been wanting to visit ever since I was a teenager when I saw the 1968 Paris exhibition of the findings in the tomb of Tutankhamun. The valley of the Kings is simply majestic as you arrive with tombs surrounded by mountains and the desert. Until about 1918 the Nile regularly flooded the valley which explains why the tomb of Tutankhamun was closed off with debris coming down the valley blocking its entrance. It was on 26th November 1922 that Howard Carter finally found the tomb of Tutankhamun. We visited 3 tombs and then we went to see the temple of Hatshesput. So this was my first foray into Egypt and I hope to return to do the cruise from Luxor to Aswan … For the past 8 years Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan are squabbling over the building of a dam which would negatively impact the Egyptian’s economy and its population. 95% of Egyptian population live along the Nile. President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi said during the last meeting at the United Nations “The Nile is a question of life, a matter of existence to Egypt.” It’s agreed a dam in Ethiopia could drastically curtail the water supply in Egypt. Last but not least, I can highly recommend this trip and the hotel Lotus Bay where the staff is always more than happy to help. In particular Amar at the bar who also makes sure the cats are being fed every day at 4 pm, Mahmoud who sells trips to the Red Sea, the manager of the hotel and the man who organises wifi. As well as the manager of the restaurant. Sincerely, I don’t know how but everything s

Just spent 10 days there. The cleanliness was very poor, the bathroom wasn't clean when we arrived. They didnt change towels even when we put them in the shower bottom unless you give them dollar. The food was very poor. Only three main dishes (beef, chicken and some kind of fishfingered fish) none of which are eatable. I ate only rice and pasta while I was there. Very little fruit - only melons. The beach was very beautiful, shallow. There were many sunbeds and nice stuff. Loved the beach

This is definitive not a 4 star hotel, at the most a 3 star. Rooms are old not wel maintained, food is dreadful, internet rubbish. The first room we received had a leaking toilet. AC making dreadful noise, TV not working, balcony door not able to lock. We switched to another room, here the fridges have one setting, freeze up your drinks, the AC has one setting “hurricane”. Tv has one english channel , bbc news, see picture for quality. The restaurant looks like a kantine, half of the space the AC does not work. Sweating while eating. Food is poor quality. They love to use salt!!! The pictures of the rooms on the website dont even remotely resemble the true inventory.

The exterior of the hotel is great (gardens, buildings, swimming pool,…). The inside of the rooms is ok - but not on par with the outside. The food is good BUT you can not sit outside. It’s the rules! 😬 I don’t come in a sunny country on holidays to be forced to eat inside some kind of cantine… When the suggestion is made to the hotel manager, he does not listen: it’s the rules… Customer service could be greatly improved!
