Choose to book the sands after reading the reviews and was not disappointed at all! Airport is minutes away and was easy to manage through. The staff here were excellent, friendly and accommodating. Our check in was fairly easy, few basic questions after scanning a code while we drank a rum punch. We were then taken to our room by the lovely young lady always singing at her desk. Things were well explained and all questions covered! Managers and front desk staff are so great here! Room and Resort were well kept. Our room had a lovely balcony, living space with Kitchenette (no AC in living room) it was a little warm as our room (21) was tucked off to the side and didn't catch the breeze as well but we didn't use the living space anyways. The bedroom and bath are upstairs in the suite and A/C was great up there, which we were only used the room to sleep and shower anyways! Towels and Loungers, never really had an issue, plenty of towels available, pool loungers in the morning were mostly taken (pool usually had kids then anyways) but the beach had plenty available anytime with shade! Went to the pool later in the day, as chairs open up and kids are done. The Beach is stunning, there is a bit of a tidal pull on windy days, keep kids close in the water. This resort sits in front of a reef that acts as a bowl shaped lagoon. On calm days my husband could touch bottom the whole way across as we snorkeled (before noon is best), the deepest part is where the boats anchor. No need to book an excursion to see turtles, we swam with a few right out front multiple times during the week. The reef had a nice array of fish to see as well! I brought my own gear but they had some available as well as floats. Beach and water is white sand spent the most time on the beach and swimming. The main eating area "On the Water" has a buffet breakfast each morning with a decent selection. Lunch was a mix of buffet and set menu, with a beach snack bar available. You book your lunch and supper times at breakfast, but it's not the hassle it sounds like, you get in a groove and it works out when your on "Island Time". The majority of the serving staff were very well trained for dinner service, I was impressed (I own restaurants at home) and even the staff noted in other reviews as cranky, are helpful and friendly with a simple thank you and kindness. Noir opens Thurs-Sat I think and it has a beautiful view and romantic feel! Food overall was good, portions were more then enough after a day of drinks and sun, and don't stress if your not an adventurous eater, they will give you the snack bar options which is what most of the kids options were anyways. The bar is located steps from the pool and beach, they have great options, fun frozen drinks and a decent selection of spirits. The wine on hand was quite a bit better then most all inclusive resorts. Bar tenders were great! I have to say this was one of the only times I've travelled and felt completely comfo

Stayed here after the cruise and were delighted at our choice. Check in is via the QR code and is pretty straight forward. Our room was not ready but Sean said he would come and find us when it was and he did 15 min later - great customer service. The room was lovely overlooking the pool, had a self catering kitchen, loads of storage and the air con excellent. Bathroom had a good walk in shower. We had absolutely no issues with the food at breakfast , dinner or the snacks which are available. Waiting times to be served can be longer but what's the problem when you have a view sitting next to the sea and beach. Sunbeds were readily available although if you wanted a front row seat then the "professional towel squad" would have bagged theirs. Overall we had a fantastic week here and would recommend without hesitation.

It was our first wedding anniversary and we decided to stay at this lovely hotel. Entering the hotel, we were greeted by the warmest staff, Manager Stephanie and the front desk staff, Emerson, the most welcoming experience ever! The bellman whose last name is also Cumberbatch was extremely helpful and friendly, the restaurant staff just amazing! Khaleel, Shaniqua, the guy with the unique name Cest who brought us a comp wine and postcard just were superb just to name a few! The pool and beach guys, Mr Winston Browne one of the chefs so friendly so impressive and knowledgeable wow! The restaurant manager/supervisor can’t remember her name but she was so accommodating and warm - (worked the 8th April and was there in the next afternoon as well). The Sands my husband and I give you 10/10! Definitely will be back soon! The staff, the ambience, the personal touches, the food & drinks, the activities - exceeded our expectations. Thank you The Sands for the most memorable experience!

We had a lovely family holiday here over Easter. The rooms were great. Most of them I believe are duplex which is great. When we arrived we were offered a welcome drink. Check in could be done by reception or yourself. We did it ourselves and it took all of 10 mins. Once we were taken to our room we discovered there was nowhere for the children to sleep. (The travel agents had booked for 4 but in the hotel system it only showed as 2 adults. This had happened to another family so more the booking operator that the hotel?) Either way it was no problem. They quickly took us to another room with a second bedroom! Fabulous! The food menu for the children was great. A la carte menu was minimal but lively and filling. If you’re a fussy eater then it may now work well for you but we didn’t have any complaints about any of the meals. Entertainment finished around 11pm which was welcomed as we were in bed for 9pm each night due to the time difference. The pool and beach are just fabulous! The children’s team did some amazing crafts with the kids. Absolutely brilliant and totally unexpected. Easter Sunday was fabulous with a visit from the Easter bunny, an Easter egg hunt and a petting zoo. Lots of sweet treats for the children too. Our girls 3 & 5 absolutely loved it. The pool was fab as it started very shallow and gradually went deeper so no stress with the children. Location great. We hired a car as found taxi outside to be quite expensive. $90 usd a day car hire. Couldn’t fault it and very easy to arrange. Highly recommend

I could’ve quite easily given three stars but to be fair 3 1/2 would’ve been perfect. The location however is five star. The beach is fantastic very clean. Almost Private couldn’t fault the staff at all they were very good. Food is all inclusive and only three star sadly. The drinks were not top shelf but to be fair they were pretty good four out of five. entertainment was generally poor. The rooms were very clean very modern and very spacious. Air-conditioning works great. Overall we had a great time at the sands there is one speciality restaurant. I had a nice shirt jeans and a very expensive pair of trainers on. I was almost refused admission as I did not have shoes. I stayed in very expensive hotels and they only ask for tailored shorts, collared shirt and smart trainers that really is ridiculous, I wouldn’t return as I like better food, but again the staff were first class

Although it says all inclusive I was very disappointed to get a menu for lunch and evening meal , breakfast was fine but my first experience of lunch was waiting nearly an hour after I ordered them the meal came over stone cold as if it had been sitting for the hour I waited ,I could not eat it it was disgusting .Drinks were at a make shift bar as they were rebuilding the bar area which was not pointed out to us on booking that work was being done so no nice cocktail glasses ,weather was not good it rained most mornings but cleared up in the afternoon .Unless you like drinking none stop the area around is just bars and more bars within walking distance, not a place I'd go back to I enjoyed Turkey a lot more sad as a friend payed for this for me and I was so looking forward to it not for me im afraid

Ignore the dodgy reviews we had a fab time. Myself and husband and 3 kids returned yesterday and we had a great experience. We had a two bedroom apartment which was huge and had everything we needed, ours wasn’t tired at all, it was modern and spotless. Would have been good if there was a few plates and cutlery as we did have the odd thing to eat in there but it wasn’t a problem and we could have got some downstairs. Coffee tea, biscuits , toiletries were filled up each day. Fresh towels too. We had 2 buffet lunches and two evening buffets which were my favourite with local dishes,, salads and vegetables. The 3 course a la carte were always lovely, although small by time you’d eaten 3 courses you’d had enough, we usually ordered 2 portions of fries for the table too. There is a beach menu available from 10.30 - 4.30 but you can also order from it in the evening and lunch if the 3 course doesn’t suit, which it didn’t suit my 6 year old. Drinks were all plentiful and good quality. Afternoon tea was served 4-5 if you could fit anything else in! Staff were very friendly and always made effort to speak to the kids. Kemar and Shushella that ran kids activities went above and beyond. There were some great Easter things on including visit from bunny at breakfast, egg hunt, bonnet making etc. Position of hotel is perfect, walk or jump on ZR bus which is brilliant and left me with a smile on my face every time. Saw turtles in sea and loads of different fish. Couldn’t fault it!

Hotel a 3 star at best. Waited 2 hours to check in. Food is terrible and you have to wait ages to be served their "A La Carte" (never been a la carte!). Some staff are nice, some don't even acknowledge you and are rude (especially the female staff). You have to book your lunch and dinner times at breakfast! I'm on holiday for god sake, don't want to work to a clock! Wouldn't mind if it meant that the food and service was good because of it, but it wasn't. Sunbeds are uncomfortable. About 4 o'clock each day on the end of the beach, cars would turn up with people doing their "deals". Fully expect to be offered every drug under the sun by day one. My advice, don't bother booking here and save your money. Not the dream holiday I was expecting. On the day we were leaving we were told we could keep our room until 3pm free of charge, then when we checked our they tried to charge us 150 dollars! On the plus side, the hairdryers are good and if you really wanted to, you could dry your hair whilst having a s#@t! If you wanted to! Avoid, there are better places to spend your money!
