Amazing location, you’re literally yards away from the main gondolas - so central! The hotel is humble, clean and has everything you need for a good night sleep. Also, the service is fantastic, Katie and the team can’t do enough for you. Overall, highly recommended, just book it!

Can’t rate this little gem highly enough! Pros: - Staff are super friendly, polite and helpful. - Food is way better than 2 star! Breakfast is ok with plenty of choice. Afternoon tea is fab! Sweet and savoury every day (including soup, king prawns, pizza, flap jacks, cookies etc - all homemade. Evening meal starts with an amuse bouche, followed by 3 courses. The veggie options were amazing. Glass of Prosecco given at the start of the meal then free, palatable wine afterwards. New Year’s Eve meal was superb and included a bottle of Prosecco. - Location is great. A very short walk to the lifts. Near lots of hire shops, bars and restaurants. Village put on lots of entertainment on New Year’s Eve (fireworks, ski school torch lit procession, free vin chaud, great outdoor live DJ. - The bar next door (Jacks) is owned by same people. Reasonable happy hour between 4-5pm. Very small discount for Les Grangettes customers. Great live music from 5-8ish (later on a Wednesday when chalet staff have their night off). We had room 29 situated at the back of the hotel and never had an issue with noise coming from the bar. Although after the live band, the music wasn’t very loud anyway. - I had an issue with a plug in our room. Told staff at breakfast. By the time we got back from skiing that day, it had been changed with a little note letting us know. - Boot room kept boots dry and warm every day. Ski locker room in an adjacent room. - Good showers with no shortage of hot water. Cons: - Rooms are very basic and quite small but clean (rooms are tidied daily). But what do you expect from a 2 star property?! - The communal areas are a little soulless, especially the tables at the front of the hotel. - Breakfast could be improved with some fresh bread rolls (rather than just toasting bread) and tomatoes/cucumber etc. - Toaster wasn’t great. - Having to remember 3 lots of codes for the front door, boot room and ski locker was a bit of a pain. Why not have the same code for all of them? All in all, a great value option in a very central location. We travelled with Inghams - the less said about them the better! Would definitely return but would probably book directly with the property.

Les Grangettes is a no frills hotel offering excellent value to families wanting to ski from Meribel which is renowned as an expensive village. Comfortable rooms, really clean, well appointed bathroom and a guests lounge with sofas, games and tv, Lounge/seating areas could benefit from some ‘warmth’ - it’s hard to explain but they are a bit soulless but do the job. Really friendly and helpful staff, always responsive to our requests and eager to help. We stayed in rm 26 at back of hotel and although we could hear the live music from Jacks bar each evening it did not impact our stay and some of the artists were pretty good! All our meals were good, you won’t go hungry. One vegetarian option wasn’t as promised (tofu instead of halloumi) but fortunately I like both! Breakfast is varied with continental options and my only idea to make it better would be to offer some fresh bread or rolls as an alternative to the sliced bread that is good for toast. Hot options also available. Afternoon tea was very welcome and offered a savoury and cake with plentiful tea coffee and hot chocolate. Wine at dinner was drinkable and never shunned! Separate Boot and ski room is a bit of a bind but it’s not a deal breaker. Perfect location for the 3 valleys and a very short walk to the main lifts - good value and we will be returning. Overall a fabulous week, thank you to the team.

After reading some of the reviews we were a little worried about what we may find, however, need not have worried....yes I agree the hotel is looking a little tired but don't be put off by that. Brighter colours and a bit of paint wouldn't go a miss and a bit of new carpet....however let's look at what you need for a ski holiday, a good bed, friendly and helpful staff, plus good food - they are all there..the food includes breakfast, afternoon tea, canopies, dinner plus wine which are all included in the price, and in our opinion it's tasty and plentiful. If you don't want to eat in you get a €20 pp credit for jacks which is part of the hotel and has more food options...Then you have endless hot water for baths n showers plus accessibility to slopes... basically what more do you need as basically a hotel is a place to sleep between ski days. Our room was not above Jack's Bar so was quiet, those with rooms above the bar said it was a bit loud up to 10pm-ish, but that was only on one side of the hotel....so in all, would we stay again, yes, definitely value for money

Lovely, clean hotel, and everyone staying there was really friendly. The staff were brilliant too. Everything we needed was there and the tea & coffee all day was appreciated. We were above the bar but the music really didn't bother us. Great showers, plenty of hot water! The food was good, and plentiful, and given resort prices, excellent value. The canapes & prosecco was a nice touch too! Codes on the boot & ski rooms were a bit irritating, I don't see why the same code couldn't be used for both, but the boot warmers were fab and our boots were warn and dry every morning. Would recommend and would revisit.

Not going to lie but i was worried... a last minute holiday but I think some have been really harsh on this hotel. Yes it's basic, the carpets and some room furniture a little tired BUT for skiing it's exactly what you want (and i can be real hotel snob!). I travelled with my 13 yr old daughter and it was a great holiday. Comfy beds, warm room, clean bathroom, made up daily and stacks of hot water for a good soak after the slopes. We were in room 4 so away from Jack's but others staying above the bar said it was fine.... the staff are great, the food good, breakfast, afternoon tea a welcome treat, prosecco and canapes and 3 course meal, my daughter coped with even her limited taste, breakfast good. It is what you make of it, we made lots of friends over breakfast and dinner and we all had a great time socialising after dinner both adults and kids.... location for the ski lifts is great, the public pool for a swim opposite and I wouldn't hesitate in going back..... it would be nice though if gradually the rooms and landing carpets could be revamped a little but it's not a biggy and great value for money.......

I stayed at this Hotel with a group of friends in Early March for a Ski Holiday. The Hotel is more like a Hostel than a Hotel. It is not half as good as a 4* Hotel and therefore in my opinion does not even rate as more than that 1* The twin rooms are minuscule with barely space to walk alongside the beds. There is one tiny wardrobe barely large enough for one persons clothes. One person may need to live out of their suitcase ( as we did in the room I shared). Our group was allocated rooms above Jacks Bar ( linked to but not run by the Hotel) Noise from the Groups playing Music in the bar in the late afternoons and evening was very loud in the room (which itself acted like a reverberating ‘Boom Box’) Even later ‘Muzak’ from the bar could still be heard. The Hotel hat two fairly ‘soulless’ Lounges ( with comfy sofas) one with no windows, which no one used. No lift so ski gear had to be dragged up awkward staircase by guests Ludicrous security system of punch in codes at doors to Hotel, ski Room and boot room. That ‘Security’ was totally defeated by the codes being given to each guests, printed on the reverse of a ‘business’ card which had The Hotel Name on it. (I picked up two that had been dropped by other guests outside the Hotel during the course of the week) Good Points: Excellent Location. Very good helpful staff who did the best with what they had. Good, Hot and cold breakfast and Good well cooked Evening Dinner (albeit with limited choices). Free wine, regularly topped during dinner ( basic quality) Sorry, but I would not return!

More of a hostel than a hotel. Very basic, tired, no a**osphere. Rooms small for sharing. Decent WiFi and plenty of hot water. Frustrating having to enter different entry codes for ski room, boot room and front entrance. Rooms above Jack’s so expect noisy bass and drums some nights until 11pm. Good location to main ski lifts so okay if all you want is a bed for the night.

Previous reviews I'd read before going said the hotel was a bit tired and I do have to agree, however, this was more than made up for by the fabulous staff, great food, comfy bed, hot shower , bath which was great for soaking aching bones and muscles at the end of the day, warm room and closeness to the lifts. We had a fabulous week, thanks so much to all the staff, you were brilliant
