Nice place- but my room NEVER got maid service and I had to fetch my own clean towels. They must charge extra for hot water-- since there was none in this shower-- despite calling the hotel's attention to it twice. I first tried to CALL reception but... the phone had no dial tone. Reception just said, "I only do the beach towels"... and never even recorded my complaint. Second try got as shrug and "I'll file for maintenance." Food was on par but you will wait forever for it to find you.
Bottom line- on my "never again" list because of the ABSENCE of service and lack of basics (like a warm shower- or maid service). On a scale of 100 Emerald Beach gets a 15 for location (after a small deduction for airplane noise (the runway id literally at the foot of the property) and zeros for facility overall and service. Find another place to stay.

The staff were fine.. We were exhausted from being up at 3 AM. Decided to go to bed early and about 10 to 15 people were hanging out next-door to us, screaming and yelling until 430 in the morning 432 to be exact, and no sleep for the whole night. Nothing was done by the hotel. No I did not get out of bed and call but I could not be the only one that stayed awake all night due to this screaming and yelling and partying. It was unbelievable. it was the most uncomfortable night in a hotel I have ever spent. Apparently when we went to the front desk this morning to ask about a taxi to get out of here, there were other people complaining and apparently the people on the beach were threatening the other guest. The hotel said they have security, but nothing was done. No compensation was even offered my husband went for breakfast to go and I received scrambled eggs and potatoes and bacon in a cardboard box not even lined with Reynolds wrap or anything it was literally laying on the bottom of the box $$52 and it went in the garbage. The waitress actually took my husband‘s order while carrying a tray on her day off because they were shortstaffed.

I liked the closeness of the beach and our room. The food and drinks at the restaurants was good. I'm glad we took a chance on Emerald. There were some sketchy reviews, so we were skeptical, but I'm glad we decided to find out for ourselves. The only things that could have made the stay perfect would be if we had hot water for showers and they should provide rugs for the bathroom. We tracked so much sand in from the beach. Other than that everything was great. We're definitely planning on returning with our extended family. They need to experience what we did. Lovely stay. I can't wait to return.

Within walking distance of the airport, has a decent restaurant and lovely beach. Close to the airport which was great for our needs. No running water/showers on our arrival. Could use some repairs

Beautiful beach one can see just below balcony. Does not have a hoard of tourist like many places, great beach bar nice menu fairly priced you can walk to from airport, safe, and not surrounded on all sides by other resorts. layout of buildings and grounds is excellent, beds comfortable. Parking lot for rental car easy and even one nice tennis court which needs to be used more often. A few planes fly in and out but they are in and out quickly.

A bare bones minimum in the room; no service to help transport bags; restaurant bad - fish was old, service minimum; mixed drink had very little alcohol; chef did not appear for breakfast service. Very over-priced.

The property is weathered and dated Vs the pictures we see. 4:00 guest check in should be 4:00, not 4:45. Towels should be ready and available in your room at check in, not almost 7:00. The coffee/ breakfast bar was not open randomly the day we were there.
Great place to stay if you wanna be close to the airport for a night or so, but spend the money elsewhere on the island for a better hotel experience.

Room was soo old and dirty we took our key back to the office after checking in gave it back, ate the whole cost and moved to another resort.
The cost of this resort is way too high, making guests believe it is comparable to other resorts.

Unless you love mosquitos, stay away from this place. We had the worst night ever. We couldn’t sleep with all the mosquitos buzzing around our ears. The front desk said they run out of mosquito spray. There was a stinky puddle of water at the very entrance of the resort and they dumped their trash right in front building 4 (where we stayed).
I wish I’d chosen a different place
