My stay at Rede Andrade Riviera Premium was disappointing and the hotel absolutely does not deserve the word “premium”.
Although the reception staff was polite, they were unable or unwilling to offer any real solutions when problems were addressed. The cleaning staff, on the other hand, came across as rude and inattentive, and the room itself was not properly cleaned. Hygiene standards clearly need major improvement, especially considering the presence of multiple (small) cockroaches in the room, which were reported but not addressed.
A major issue was the electricity outage that lasted more than 12 hours. No compensation (trip.com did handle these issues well), no apology, and not even practical help was offered. The fridge started leaking after the freezer ice melted, yet extra towels were refused. Towels are only replaced every two days anyway, which is far from acceptable given the conditions.
The room lacked basic essentials: no hangers, no glasses, no essentials, limited working power outlets, and a TV remote that barely functioned. The mattresses looked dirty, the curtains were stained and full of holes, and they let in too much sunlight. The shower leaked, and mold was visible on the walls and ceiling.
The elevators were old, dirty, and some buttons didn’t work. The photos used online are misleading and clearly outdated. Early in the morning, the noise from cleaning staff was excessive and felt disrespectful toward guests trying to rest. There’s also no peephole in the door, which makes it uncomfortable not knowing who is knocking.
Hairdryers are not available in the rooms and must be requested at reception, to be shared with all guests. During Carnaval, this meant long and unreasonable waiting times. Overall, the stay felt disorganized, poorly maintained, and far below the standard the hotel claims to offer. The only positive point was the strong water pressure in the shower, unfortunately surrounded by mold and poor maintenance.
The overall experience was disappointing, unhygienic, and extremely poorly managed.
