After a few rough nights at a Soviet hotel, words can’t describe how happy I was to see this hotel. The male receptionist was very welcoming when I arrived as he let me check in a bit earlier after a train ride. The breakfast fulfilled my needs as they have fresh fruits, vegetables, yoghurt, eggs, coffee… no complaint. The guy working at the breakfast area was also very helpful. After I finished gym, I went up there. He immediately asked me if I needed water. It shows that he’s attentive. I felt happy staying there. The reason I booked it was the gym. As an active person, I need to work out on my travels. The gym is not fully equipped but it provides with the basics such as a treadmill, a bike and weights. Location wise, it’s not in the center of the tourist spot but it’s walking distance. It took me 15 min to get to Registan. Don’t worry though as Samarkand is pedestrian friendly.

Was a nice experience staying at the Medina hotel. It was conveniently located a few km from many famous sites and good restaurants, nice pool, and well maintained. Rooms were simple, but clean.

I have been to dozens of countries, and this is the first time I have encountered such a rubbish hotel. Not only was the room very small, but you could smell a stench as soon as you entered it. The toilet was even more disgusting. When I first checked in, I wanted to wash my hands in the toilet but it was so smelly that I almost vomited. The hotel restaurant staff have a very poor attitude and basically no sense of proactive service. Their English proficiency is almost zero and they are unwilling to find ways to communicate with guests. I ordered a pilaf and was served a small plate of white rice as shown in the picture. Know what you want to do. There were flies flying around in the restaurant, and I was very hungry the night I checked in. At night, dogs were all barking around the hotel, and they couldn't stop, which seriously affected their rest. You start knocking on the door from room to room at around six o'clock in the morning. Clean hotel, nice staff. Delicious breakfasts, but a lot of flour, I would like more protein, but there is plenty to choose from. Terrible hotel with good location. There is no soundproofing, people are making noise by the pool all night. They asked for a lunch box instead of breakfast, but nothing was prepared. The administrators are not helpful, they are stupid.

叫麥地那酒店,以為在麥地那裡面,其實就是在路邊。酒店離雷吉斯坦廣場走路一公里,樓下就有餐廳和飲料店,總體還算方便。 房間設施比較一般,聯繫修東西被忘記,要多聯繫幾次。 網絡還算快。 早餐很好,很豐盛,而且是在5樓陽台用餐,吃了早飯可以不吃午飯了。
