The location of this hotel is great. It’s a very well kept historic hotel. We loved the breakfast buffet (costs extra but is a nice treat) and the staff were all friendly. We did get a little lost finding our room seeing how there are two towers so some direction in that department would have been nice. There is also no complementary drinking water in the room which was odd. Overall I would go back.

It’s my second time back in this hotel but this time I got to stay at the Landmark room. The room is spacious, as usual the location is superb! Just at Union Square, walking distance to Chinatown and as well to the cable car. $25 daily for the fees is mandatory to be paid but you will get in return of a daily credit for that amount and two steel bottles and two cable car ticket one way! Amenities is superb, bed is amazingly comfortable!

It was just before Christmas we arrived, the hotel was decorated with loads of festive celebrations. Loved the stay & the location a lot!

I stayed in an older room so decor was a bit tired and I found some crumbs. Watch out for the USD25/day destination fee. You can get it back by taking up the 2 cable tickets, and spending the credit in the cafe and restaurants. Apart from the above gripes, it was a nice stay in a Historic hotel in superb location. However would try another hotel if I was to be in San Francisco again.

Location is perfect, surrounded by many restaurants and amenities, and the cable car stops right infront of the hotel. The hotel itself feels and looks old, room was okay and bathroom was huge.

Was disappointed with the USD $25 daily destination fee. From my check it is not imposed by the state so it must be imposed by the hotel. I was asked to speak to the manager to try to waive the fee but she said it’s mandatory. You decide if it’s fair? It certainly left a bad taste.

Very professional staffs and a clean facility throughout. Very convenient location to get around.

When we reached hotel, we were informed to pay destination fee of USD25 (excl tax) per day, you may use it to make purchases in hotel. Need to request for kettle n bedroom slippers n etc. The shower tap was so confusing to use. The toiletries was not check n refill (eg: no conditioner at day 3). There is only 1 toilet roll, no spare one. The phone can only use with speaker, cannot use receiver cos there is no cord. The service is below expectation for a reputable hotel like Westin n destination fees is really a surprised.

The location was awesome. But services are limited. Phones weren’t working so room service wasn’t an option. Then when we asked for spoons they wouldn’t give us silverware in the room so we had to use plastic on food brought in. It was very basic. If you’re looking for frills it is not the place to stay

The hotel was nice, the location is amazing and I had a renovated room which was ok. The service at the hotel was terrible, the check in experience was more than terrible, the person in charge was very rude and did not seem to know some of the regular procedures to check in or treat a guest. I am a frequent traveler and I have stayed in different properties of all kinds, but my experience in this hotel was really bad, just because of the service I got from that Front desk agent.
