The Vasilicos

Beautiful boutique hotel with amazing attention to detail. All the staff were really helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our morning breakfast delivered to our private table outside the room every day was the highlight. I would highly recommend to anyone.

My sister and I had the pleasure of staying at the Vasilicos during our first visit to Santorini. From the moment our concierge Dimitris contacted us weeks before our stay, we were enveloped in personalized care that prioritized our comfort. Dimitris meticulously noted our preferences and made thoughtful recommendations, including dinner reservations and transportation arrangements, ensuring our stay was tailored to our every need. Our stay began with the Vasilicos providing transportation from the airport, easing the stress from the very start of our trip. Upon our arrival at the property, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and welcoming Vasilicos team. We spent four nights in the spacious and charming Pergola suite, which featured a massive closet that allowed us to unpack without feeling cramped. This made our stay feel like home, eliminating the stress of living out of suitcases. The bed in the Pergola suite was incredibly comfortable, further enhanced by the pillow service. The views offered by the Vasilicos were simply breathtaking. We watched the sunset from various villages on the island, but our room at the Vasilicos provided the most spectacular view, without a doubt. The level of privacy offered was truly remarkable. The only time we noticed others around was during sunset when people would gather along the top of the pathway to witness the breathtaking spectacle. However, even then, it was never intrusive. In fact, it highlighted the perfect location we had chosen for our trip, as it attracted visitors from all over to witness the stunning sunset. As two solo female travelers, we made transportation a top priority. Renting a car didn’t feel comfortable, so Dimitris, arranged transportation for our entire stay. Nina and Beso, our friendly and attentive drivers, ensured our comfort and safety throughout our journey. It felt like we had a personal driver accompanying us to every destination. They never made us wait more than 10 minutes for their arrival. Every morning, Chris, another fantastic member of the Vasilicos team, would visit our room to inquire about our breakfast preferences. With such attentiveness, Chris would then serve breakfast on our private patio with such a beautiful presentation. The exceptional housekeeping staff not only kept our rooms spotless but also brought water and chocolate to our room each evening. Fortunately, several excellent restaurants were within walking distance. Even at 10:30 pm, the walk back and forth felt entirely safe. The Vasilicos provided everything we could have wished for: a boutique feel with breathtaking views, privacy, restaurants within walking distance, and surprisingly, fewer stairs compared to many other hotels in Santorini. The warmth and friendliness of the entire Vasilicos staff, coupled with our incredible transportation specialists, made this trip truly unforgettable.

While the Vasilicos may not be as updated as some of the newer properties in Santorini that's part of what creates its unique charm. Dimitris, Chris, Eli, John & the rest of the staff were amazing ... providing the bespoke feeling one would want from such an experience. The caldera facing rooms are spacious and comfortable, but what really sets the property apart is the privacy it offers and the incredibly attentive, helpful & welcoming staff. Make sure to also visit the Pink Sophia Maria next door for wonderful food and friendly service.

We just came back from our honeymoon and we chose the last 3 1/2days in Santorini. We were booked this hotel by our travel agent and I have to say I was not disappointed one second of my stay. I literally felt like royalty the entire time! Dinitris (the manager/concierge) greeted us as we pulled in with a warm smile and after he checked us in offered to book us excursions or dinner reservation. We get to the room and it’s insanely cool and beautiful. I don’t know about you but I’ve never slept in a cave before!! Elle and RJ (?!) we’re so sweet and brought us a pitcher of water every night and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was delivered to us (included in the stay) and Chris brings the magic!! He brings you coffee of your choice, juices, fresh fruits, Greek yogurt and other things that the chef specifically curated that morning. We had a private pool, and last but certainly not least the BEST View of the sunset from our own patio. Like people were on top of our hotel to stop for a pic but we were alone with the same view. Please give this place a shot! You will not be disappointed

Santorini is truly beautiful. This boutique hotel with only seven well-appointed rooms may just be the best view on the island. I'm not sure the photos really capture it. The service is great, hi Dimitris, hi Chris. The breakfast each day is too much but welcomed. Location is perfect for walking to whatever you desire, other than a beach, that's a drive which your hosts will arrange a car for you. There are great places to stay in Santorini but I can't imagine a better option than this.

The view was stunning, you could see the ocean, islands and buildings all at once. The hotel is at a great location, it is close to Fira, which has some markets. The staff are extremely friendly. There was a large variety of delicious food for breakfast.
