Lovely setting, the rooms are clean and well equipped. The food is good. It was busy and there was a nice buzz about the place. The thing that sets it apart from other places is the staff. They are just brilliant. Friendly and attentive and really consistent. Really enjoyed my stay.

Went on a Sunday at 1pm for afternoon tea in the newly refurbished Green Room with my mum. We had a lovely afternoon, ambience was good, room was clean and bright, service spot on and food was delicious and plentiful. Overall a great experience, would recommend.

An 80th birthday tea for friends and family. From the time the decision was made to hold the celebration at Bagdon, everyone was so very helpful and accommodating. The staff at the occasion were terrific, where nothing was too much travel - well done!

Went again for Afternoon tea last Monday and as usual the food was excellent The room is very well set out and looks so fresh and and clean The staff are very welcoming but Caroline really does go out of her way she is very professional and makes sure you are happy and comfortable Looking forward to our next visit.

Christmas Party night! I have to say I’ve been here a few times but although we had an enjoyable evening there were a couple of things that disappointed us! Whilst the food was good, the portion sizes seemed pretty small - one of the party realised he hadn’t any roast potatoes. Obviously an oversight when the kitchen were playing up the food! The bar staff didn’t move from behind the bar to clear any glasses from table until 10.45! By which time the room on the tables were limited, we’d taken some glasses back ourselves but it wasn’t overly busy so I’m sure they could have collected some earlier .. that said we’d go back again! Xmas parties aren’t what they used to be - lots of guests didn’t bother to dress up - personal choice I guess. However jeans, hoodies, jumpers and trainers worn by many meant there was no dress code at all ..

We arrived for a 2 night break for Daughters wedding being held at hotel, Firstly we checked in which was fast and very smooth, went to our room which was one of the suites very nice but cold but it is January, My husband is poorly and quite frail and really feels the cold so we plugged in portable heater provided, we had a planned family meal on the friday night which was in a private dining area the food was lovely and also the wedding breakfast staff were great throughout our stay but the manager Barry was exceptional on the friday night my husband could not get warm in bed so he went and got us an extra duvet which did the trick he also ensured food was taken up to our room when he could not come down for breakfast thank you all for a great stay only down fall was the heating didnt seem that good.

Just back from having a De luxe Afternoon Tea to celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary at Bagden Hall Hotel in Scissett. Big thank you to Caroline and Hannah for making it such a special day. The welcome and service we received was first class and the Afternoon Tea was superb. Highly recommended.

Don't waste your money! We booked a room and we probably could've got a better room in a Premier Inn! The room was extremely run down. I would describe it as grotty. Even the soap dispenser in the bathroom was filthy. The saving grace were the staff, who are welcoming and friendly. Sadly, the room was a real let down. To make it worse, the bathroom was awful and smelt of wee!

Exceptional afternoon tea, the whole champagne experience was outstanding. Worth a try for anyone .. we loved it. There were plenty of sandwiches, you get a choice of 2 fillings. Scones were warm and very light. Sweet selection was absolutely delightful. Gorgeous grounds
