Gilleden Hotel (Shangri-La Dukezong Ancient City)

1. The hotel does not have an elevator, so you have to carry your boxes to the third floor by yourself. 2. The hair dryer was obviously burned, and when I first arrived at the hotel, I found that the comb was bitten by a mouse or melted by something. 3. The window of the room faces the corridor. If you don't open the window, it's stuffy and you can't breathe. If you open the window, people coming and going are very noisy. The curtains are very thick. If you open the window and then close the curtains, it's the same as not opening the window. 4. They said they would provide pick-up and drop-off. I booked two nights, but then they said that because I booked a special room, it was only included once. If I booked two days separately, they would ask me to check out halfway.

The location of this hotel is very good. You can enter the ancient city of Dukezong in just a few steps. The hotel gave us an upgrade. The room has heating. The breakfast includes rice noodles, noodles, hard-boiled eggs and 3 dishes. Although it is simple, it is filling. If you stay for three consecutive nights, drop-off service will be provided. If you want to participate in a day trip, you can inquire at the tourist center next to the Moonlight Square in the ancient city. The staff will arrange carpooling to Songzanlin Temple, Pudacuo National Park, Tiger Leaping Gorge... scenic spots. 

I did some research when I came here. The hotel has indoor parking and is a 5-minute walk from Dukezong Ancient Town. The hotel environment is clean and sanitary. The front desk girl is warm and friendly. There is constant temperature water heating in the room. Shangri-La has dry weather and high altitude, which is very good. There is also free coffee, tea, snacks, Tibetan clothing check-in, free oxygen breakfast is also self-service in the lobby. The price-performance ratio is really high. They also sent me to the station when I left. Next time when my friends come, I must let them come to this hotel. I am really satisfied

The owner does not know English but is extremely friendly, enthusiastic and hospitable. She helped me rent an electric motorbike and book a ride from Dali to Shangrila. The hotel's location is in the heart of the old town, extremely convenient.

The boss was very enthusiastic and provided a rich breakfast. He also took us to see the tattooed women of the Dulong tribe.
