The room is stiff. I can smell mold. No soundproof, and the bar downstairs plays loud music until 1AM. The staff is not helpful.

One of the worst hotel I ever encountered . Seems like those sleazy hotel . And there is bags of linens at the corridor . Rooms space setup is terrible .

The hotel has disintegrated since the last I stayed. I should have read the recent reviews before booking it. I felt like staying in a refugee room, the walls are discolored with brown stains and tiles falling apart. An unpleasant scent from the bathroom and very small room. I regretted paying more for a room with balcony, I didn’t even bother to step out.what a pity, a retro remodeled from shophouses being neglected into a dumpy room.

The hotel is located close to restaurants , hawker places, Chinatown and MRT. The room is bigger than expected. The bed is very nice. AC works well. Internet is fast. There are towels and basic toiletries. No tv and can be a little noisy due to the restaurants nearby.

Love the location near 3 MRT station Maxwell , outram park and China town , reception is kind allow early check in , the room is average with reasonable price it is near many food area

Cleanliness: 1/5. Honestly, you need only read this part of the review. The room had a mold problem. Immediately upon entering the room you could smell the damp, especially in the bathroom and visibly around the air con. Additionally the mirror was wet with condensation. We had to keep the window open all night because of how stuffy and smelly the room was. It's such a shame because the location of the room was great, but we simply felt uncomfortable the whole time. Location: 5/5 it's in a beautiful location and within walking distance of Chinatown. Service: 3/5. Little to no interaction with staff. Amenities: 3/5. They provided shower gel and water.

Very noisy outside. Even way past midnight it's still very noisy difficult to sleep. The only good thing is they gave me a room with balcony

It was nice from the pictures in trip.com app. It was far from expected after checked in. The first experience was the uneven floor almost gave us a trip when first walked. The bar is just downstairs, the noises will last till midnight. The cigarette smoke came all the way up even the window is shut tightly. We thought at first someone was smoking in the room before us. The amenities are totally wore off and they just don't give a damn about them even we reported a few cases... The responses were 'ar.... '. Luckily, the cleanliness is maintained. I would say that short stay for a day or 2 is still bearable because of the surrounding facilities and transport. Not for holiday. The overall experience was bad!

Hotel 1929 in Chinatown MRT or Maxwell MRT. Easy to go anywhere in SG.

Quiet area, fast check in / check out. As usual bookings made as as fast as before and rewards and much much better
