Amazing stay at Il NIDO,very well run by a lovely family and staff, perfect location to explore the Amalfi coast, hope to go back soon. Great view from the bedrooms, of the Vesuvio and the coast. The hotel is very clean and a great selection of local food at breakfast.

Sea view balcony room gives you a postcard image every time you look out. Hotel is run by two brothers and sister who couldn’t be more helpful. Park your car and take the free shuttle to town. The breakfast is great. The dinners are also very good and you enjoy a great view from the dining room. Very spacious walk-in shower.

Hotel IlNido is a wonderful gem. Obviously the owner is proud of his hotel. It is neat and clean. The views of the bay, Sorrento and Mt Vesuvius are fabulous. The proprietor and staff are friendly and kind. Very reasonably priced. 10 stars if possible

Hotel Il Nido-what a gem of a hotel. From the moment we arrived we knew we had made the right choice. It is located about a 10 minute drive from the town centre. The shuttle service was so covenient and the buses run every hour until 11.30pm-ideal for us. The breakfast was wonderful-delicious warm pastries, and freshly squeezed orange juice and plenty of choices. We looked forward to eating breakfast each morning whilst looking at beautiful Mount Vesuvius in the distance. The view was absolutely mesmerising. The family who run the hotel are friendly, accomodating and hard-working. They kindly took us into town to catch the coach to take us to the airport at 6am. Our room was perfect. We selected the economy no view room as we never spend much time in the room anyway, however we had a small balcony which still overlooked Mount Vesuvius-what a treat. The room was spotless, large and just what we needed. The shower was very spacious and powerful. Items in the mini bar were very reasonably priced. We will definitely return to this wonderful little hotel one day.

Overall this.is a great place to stay. The view of Sorrento and the bay is impressive as is Mount Vesuvius in the distance. The hotel dining was excellent and the price reasonable. The hotel wifi was the best we had in Italy. The staff there were friendly and accommodating. The only negatives were the shuttle bus to downtown which was rarely on time and quite full heading into town as we were the last stop prior to downtown. The other downside was the bed mattress. It needs replacing soon. But overall it was still excellent.

I stayed here with my husband early October & cannot recommend it enough. Firstly the hotel itself is amazing, the views are excellent and the rooms are spotlessly clean. Breakfast is excellent, wide range of choice and a gorgeous view as you eat. This hotel provides excellent value for money. The hotel staff are also very knowledgeable and on hand to provide excursion information. There is a shuttle bus which runs quite regularly throughout the day and operates well. Always on time and saves a heck of a lot of money in taxi fares. This is a family run hotel and you can tell that the owners genuinely care about their visitors, which in my opinion is the most important. One night of our holiday, I ended up in hospital due to an unfortunate fall. The owner and his brother in law actually came to collect us from the hospital (early hours of the morning) as they did not want us to have to get a taxi. This kind of service goes above and beyond what you would expect of a hotel stay and is certainly something you wouldn’t get at a larger chain hotel. Should we find ourselves back in Sorrento, this would 100% be the only hotel we’d stay in. I cannot thank the staff enough for our incredible stay.

We loved our stay at Il Nido. We went in early October, and the hotel was very quiet. Our ocean-view room (#118) was spotlessly clean, as was the hotel in general. The room was also very large by european standards, which was a bonus. I'm not sure if this is true of all of their ocean-view rooms, but ours had a spectacular view of the Bay of Naples, with Mount Vesuvious clearly visible across the bay. A nice semi-private balcony made it a nice place to just relax and watch the boats on the bay. All of the staff were very welcoming, helpful, and hard-working. A special thanks goes out to Dino, who was a tremendous help in getting us to the bus station the morning of our departure. The breakfast buffet was as expected, with a relatively large selection of morning fare. The single hotel dinner meal that we ate at the hotel was very good. The shuttle bus that runs in the morning and late afternoon/evening was very helpful in getting us into town and then back up to the hotel. You wouldn't want to walk it, since it's several miles on a winding/narrow/uphill road. If we return to Sorrento, we will stay at this hotel again!
