Apartment 725 Ruthven

Recently stayed with two teenagers at 725 Ruthven, The owners had thought to include all bits and bobs...capsules and coffee machine, good range of cooking and eating utensils, washing up supplies, even powder for the washer/dryer in the apartment and great keyless 24 hr entry offered. Room for kids to bounce a ball outside. Two tvs and access to free Netflix. Air con worked well to heat the whole apartment. Beds were very comfy and warm with lots of extra pillows and blankets. BBQ on-site to use if wanted. Just down the road from the Toowoomba golf club.

No on-site manager but the reception person was very friendly and helpful on the phone. Location was fine if you have a car to get into the main part of town otherwise it is a fair way out and too far to walk. The bed was comfortable although smaller than we are used to in hotels. Good free parking on-site. Was not impressed with the standard of cleanliness. Dust on the top of the fridge, dust on tops of powerpoints and on many surfaces suggesting a not very thorough cleaning regime. Throw pillows had stains on them and the chair in living room was badly stained. The shower glass was dirty and the metal fixtures in the shower and the tap in the vanity were both quite dirty. No dishwasher in the room which probably explains the dirty mugs and glasses in the cupboard. One mug still had a coffee overflow visible on the outside and the glasses were really dirty. The front door chain was broken and so it was useless. If the cleaning was improved and some maintenance done (door chain and very noisy fridge) we would stay again but otherwise we would find somewhere else.
