"It's a pretty good hotel, especially if you're traveling by car. It's conveniently located close to the airport, and the city center is only about a 10-minute drive away.
The rooms are quite spacious and look clean.
Breakfast was quite hearty, with options like hash browns and pancakes, and everything tasted good.
It's worth noting that all the elevators in this hotel are panoramic elevators, so those with a fear of heights should be aware."

Amazing
MM.M.TI absolutely loved this hotel — it’s truly the best hotel in Barcelona! The classic and luxurious theme gives it a special charm. The room size is amazing; although it says 24 sqm, it feels much bigger, especially the bathroom, which is surprisingly spacious compared to other hotels.
One very thoughtful detail is that the room includes an adapter converter, which was extremely helpful for us with UK plugs. Another lovely touch is the chocolate they place on the bed every day after housekeeping — such a sweet gesture!
The location is perfect, right in the middle between the two most popular tourist areas. The Big Bus stop is also right outside, which makes getting around so easy, especially if you plan to use the hop-on hop-off bus.
I definitely recommend this hotel and will absolutely stay here again!

TT/RThe Monument Hotel in Barcelona is an exceptional accommodation that seamlessly blends historic architecture with modern amenities. This was our second stay at this beautiful property, and I was once again blown away by the level of hospitality and attention to detail.
The hotel's location is perfect, allowing you to easily walk to all the top attractions, restaurants, and wine bars in the city. The concierge, Xavi, is a true gem. He listened intently to our personal preferences and provided fantastic recommendations, including a wonderful nail salon when I was in need of a manicure. Xavi's restaurant and wine bar suggestions were spot on - we enjoyed some of the best local cuisine and wine during our stay, and have saved those recommendations for future visits. The hotel itself is stunning, with a beautiful historic facade complemented by modern, well-appointed guest rooms and common areas. The amenities are top-notch, ensuring a safe, comfortable and convenient stay. From the luxurious bedding to the high-end toiletries, every aspect of the guest experience is carefully considered.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona, whether it's your first or fifth time in the city. We look forward to returning again soon.

However, compared to other 5-star hotels, this hotel has a very small lobby and crude elevators that don’t match a 5-star rating. Hardware-wise, it’s probably 4-star at best.
Service - Concierge staff was polite upon check in, but the display of hospitality stopped there. Thereafter, door men at the gate didn’t greet or even acknowledge guests upon leaving or returning to the hotel. Considering the hotel lobby was so small that guests literally passed by in front of them, it came across as quite indifferent and awkward.
Amenities - There were intermittent sounds of water dripping onto a metal surface in my room during my stay. My guess is the air con system had some flaws. I asked the concierge to send people to check when I was outside (which they did), but there was no follow up afterwards and the dripping sound remained the second night. Besides, the staff who entered my room for checking took away my room card from the electricity holder, which should have never been allowed for safety considerations because the room card was registered under my name and no other person should have it during my stay.

GGuest User3-4 nights in Barcelona city. The location of this hotel couldn't be better! It's within walking distance to everything. Very good. The hygiene is very good. The breakfast is very comfortable. The service attitude is also very good. 👍 We landed in the morning and the hotel happened to have vacancies, so we checked in early.

AAnonymous UserSuper awesome! I booked a suite for three nights with my kids and upgraded to a suite with a view of Casa Batlló. The surprise was that I caught the light show of Casa Batlló on the last night. I could see the light show directly on the terrace of the room without having to go to the street to watch it. It was so awesome!
The room was big and full of details. The fruits delivered every night were very rich. Champagne and cake were also delivered on the first night!
Mandarin Oriental should be the best hotel in Barcelona. We walked to the three Gaudi attractions and Passeig de Gràcia was very easy to visit.
I will definitely stay at Mandarin Oriental next time I come to Barcelona!

GGuest UserThe hotel's overall environment exceeded my expectations. It's located just off the end of Passeig de Gràcia, surrounded by many delicious tapas bars and great brunch spots. The 'Chorros' place across from the hotel is absolutely fantastic, and the coffee shop serves excellent coffee too. The hotel even boasts a Michelin-starred restaurant! Highly recommended!
Barcelona is a very clean city and perfect for shopping; all the luxury boutiques offer excellent service.

GGuest UserWe ended up in this hotel because there was a problem with our pre-booked hotel. They try to clean the rooms well, I liked it, a nice, pleasant reception, thank you! I just didn't like the elderly man serving breakfast. On the first day, when I came for breakfast (I assumed that breakfast was included, because when changing hotels, the other parameters should not have changed), this man quite rudely asked me to leave, because breakfast was not included. It was unpleasant, he demonstrated everything as if he was trying to steal breakfast. And as a result, they save on champagne at breakfast. They put one bottle and do not change it for a very long time, after the previous one is finished (we still went to breakfast on the following days)

GGuest UserThe hotel service was very attentive. The sea view room had a decent view, though unfortunately, there was a building directly in front of it partially obstructing the view. I thought mineral water was provided daily during the stay, but the front desk said it was only on the first day. However, for the last two days, the cleaning staff kindly provided bottled water, which I really appreciate! ^_^ The showerhead in the bathroom seemed clogged, and the water pressure was very low, making the shower experience not particularly comfortable.

From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff were incredibly warm and efficient, always with a genuine smile, and patiently answered all our questions. It wasn't just the front desk; every staff member throughout the hotel, from the pool attendants to the restaurant servers, made us feel comfortable, cared for, and truly valued. My elderly travel companions are quite particular about their food, and they had a few unconventional requests. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate them, and that feeling of being prioritized was truly wonderful.
The room's view also deserves a special mention! The moment I pulled back the curtains, I was absolutely stunned. The panoramic sea view outside was breathtaking and magnificent, with planes occasionally flying by. It's just a few minutes' walk to the beach, and at night, you can see countless lights twinkling. Even at midnight, people were everywhere on the beach, chatting, playing beach volleyball, and even doing Western-style line dancing. Every photo you take turns out picture-perfect.
Facilities and dining also didn't disappoint. The outdoor pool environment was fantastic; just soaking in it and enjoying the view was incredibly relaxing. The breakfast spread was super diverse, offering a full range of Chinese and Western options, hot and cold dishes, fruits, and desserts. Every morning, we started our day feeling satisfied and happy. For dinner, we opted for a set menu, and the portions were incredibly generous – enough to easily fill two people, and the taste was spot-on.
All in all, whether it's the service, the environment, or the dining, the W Barcelona excels in every aspect. Next time I'm in Barcelona, I'll most likely choose this hotel again! Absolutely fantastic!
