Spa hotels in Playa del Carmen

It was my third trip with my gf to this hotel and we loved it every single time. The food is amazing and the staff is incredibly kind, and the cocktails are diversified and delicious The only suggestion I could make to make the experience even better would be a nice espresso/coffee machine experience. Generally speaking, when they make a latte/capuccino or any other type of speciality coffee the foam Is not totally adequate and the milk used is a bit too sweet for Some reason. But this is just my personal preference! :) I would recommend this hotel to everybody that want to enjoy a quiet/romantic time with his/her partner

Pros: very clean, staff are helpful and polite. The beach is beautiful white sand with turquoise water and palm trees for shade.  There are a lot of chairs around the pools and on the beach. The room was comfy, good beds and pillows. Great shower and bathtub.   The property is well kept. The are many activities, games and events organized.  CONS:  The food is average, generic and limited for vegetarians.  The restaurant menues are not a la carte. It’s a fixed menu.  The cocktail are way too sweet , except for David, it was impossible to get a good drink. The wine is dry but no choice not even to purchased. If you like an American diet with everything sweet and you want to hand by the pool and bar, you will be happy. If you want to rest on the beach, without having vendors bug you every 5 minutes plus  having to breathe cigarette smokes which is allowed all over the beach.   If you like decent food and enjoy a good cocktail and wine.  This place is not for you.

hotel done fixed their mistake from the website I booked. When we arrived they told us we need to pay extra tax & no bkft included. But we showed them the itinerary that we payed. Hotel( Guillermo ) initiatively solve the mistake for us, which is a very good move! Allow us to enjoy more in the beautiful trip. Restaurant waiters are super kind and pay attention on their guests which is five star service we expected all the time. Thanks Walter giving us a wonderful experience. Also the one who assisted us bring luggage downstairs in this morning, Axel was super detail oriented in service, perspected our needs!! He deserved more! The customer service was truly amazing — we were even upgraded to a beautiful suite with an oceanfront view, which made a huge difference. The buffet was great with lots of options, and the staff throughout the hotel was consistently friendly and welcoming. However, a few things to note: there are very pushy salespeople around the property who are constantly trying to upsell timeshares and spa packages. It’s understandable, but it did get a little tiring at times. The hotel is directly on the beach, but the beachfront isn’t ideal for swimming since it’s very rocky and shallow. You need to walk about five minutes down to find a spot where you can comfortably swim. The overall vibe of the hotel is a bit outdated and cheesy — definitely a mixed crowd of younger people looking to party and older guests, giving it a bit of a “cruise ship” atmosphere. My husband and I had never done an all-inclusive before, and although we got an amazing deal, it’s probably not something we would repeat at this property. As for dining: • The buffet was solid — lots of choices, decent quality — I’d rate it a 7/10. • The two à la carte restaurants (that required reservations) were subpar, so we honestly preferred the buffet experience. • The sushi swim-up bar was a bit of a letdown; the sushi wasn’t great (but understandable given the location). Our only real disappointment was the hot tub — it was very tiny, difficult to find, far away from everything, and when we finally reached it on our last night, it was lukewarm and not fully functioning. Final thoughts: If you’re looking for a budget-friendly all-inclusive with great staff, decent food, and a nice view — this is a good choice. Just know it’s not super luxurious, and swimming directly in front of the hotel isn’t ideal. It’s located right in the heart of Playa where there are lots of partying going on, if you want that sort of scene. We’re glad we tried it, but we’ll probably explore other options and quieter locations next time.

The property was amazing. You feel like you're in a paradise in the middle of the jungle. The food was great and the service was top notch. Only thing was some people had a bit too much fun at the pool and had accidents that made everyone evacuate the pool for cleaning, but there are other pools and lagoons that you can relax in to make up for it. Make sure you try the fish tacos at the restaurant by the beach and the roof vegan restaurant was also great for breakfast. Also make sure you go to XPLOR.... it's so well made... and we had the most fun there. We regret going to Xelha... you go there in the morning and you're stuck there until 4pm where as XPLOR you can go back an forth freely. We regret not trying the other parks that were a part of the resort.

Property was developed in 2017 - but similar to other constructions in Mexico it was developed hastily and with poor materials. The wear and tear on the property, and lack of maintenance is noticeable. As for the plumbing situation, the stench of sewage came from the bathroom every night. When the neighbours showered, you could hear the water system very loudly. In general, it was more of a 3.5- 4 star hotel - definitely not 5.

Firstly El Beso is simply 1 building within the larger Ocean Rivera resort. Meaning only your building is Adults Only. Our Swim up room was lovely. We tried almost all if not all of the 10 restaurants and we had no complaints the food was good. Maybe not always amazing but never terrible. There’s like 3/4 different brands or levels of service within the larger resort. El Beso seems to be 1 level from the top which is Privilege we switched for an extra night & the mini bar for privilege was much better as well as having the butler service and priority restaurant bookings when they were all booked. There’s also a special restaurant only for privilege that was great but none of the restaurants were extremely crowded. There’s an app or webpage that works like an app with all of the resort info and you can book reservations there. There’s also lots of entertainment nightly. It’s definitely a place to go and stay there’s no need to venture outside of the resort there’s so many things to do schedules are packed for all of the different areas & a bowling alley and theater. There is not much near by the tourist area is maybe 20 mins away by car down the beach.

It is located in the most central location in the Praya del Carmen area. The beach is close, the bus is close, and the supermarket is close. If you are planning to travel to this area. There is no reason not to choose this hostel. step. I like to read books quietly. This hotel is not suitable for people with insomnia. The hotel is beautiful. The inner rooms are relatively quiet.

The environment and facilities are complete. Although it can be seen that it is a certain age, the management and operation are still relatively complete. Although there are many restaurants and activities, they all need to be booked in advance, so everyone should be prepared in advance and book the place you like as soon as you arrive, otherwise it will be a pity. You can basically visit one place a day, all of which are very good and fun. The overall feeling is still good
