I had an amazing stay at this clean and spacious 2 - bedroom apartment. It was the perfect choice for our trip with two couples. Everything we needed was right there in the apartment, making our stay incredibly convenient.
The location is truly outstanding. There are numerous restaurants and shops nearby. We could easily grab a delicious meal or pick up essentials without having to travel far.
I highly recommend this apartment to anyone traveling in a group of two couples. It offers a comfortable and hassle - free experience.

The hotel is quite new, and the overall environment is comfortable with high-end facilities. My stay was initially very pleasant.
However, something very troublesome happened during check-in. Without my confirmation, the front desk staff directly charged my room fee to a previously saved credit card (did the card machine automatically store the credit card information?). However, I had already prepaid my room fee through Trip, so it shouldn't have been charged again. And they shouldn't have processed the charge without my confirmation and signature.
Fortunately, I noticed it immediately and reported it on the spot. But then they said they couldn't process a refund immediately and it had to go through the finance department. So, I asked them to send an email confirming the double charge and promising a refund, as it would be quite inconvenient to deal with a double charge after leaving the hotel. This incident prevented me from enjoying my breakfast properly.
I suggest the hotel strengthen its payment procedures. Any credit card charges or debits should always be confirmed with the guest first to avoid double billing and to build trust in payment security among travelers.

Stayed here for 2 nights. The place was quiet and relaxing, especially compared to the busy center of Cat Ba. The room was simple but clean, and the pool was a nice bonus after being outside all day. There’s also a small garden area that’s really nice for chilling in the evening, though there were quite a few mosquitoes, so bring some mosquito spray. Staff were friendly and everything went smoothly overall

Guest UserOverall, if there are any issues encountered, the hotel manager will respond quickly and take appropriate action. For example, when I mentioned that the WiFi signal was weak and unstable during check-in, the hotel manager arranged for a room change. Upon inquiry, I discovered that the room allocation and distance would affect WiFi reception. The hotel staff then suggested that for future stays, I could make a note requesting a room with better WiFi reception.
This stay from October 3rd to October 9th was also quite good. Unfortunately, my wife and I only learned about the hotel's structural issues on October 7th, and since my wife had too much luggage, we didn't want to change rooms again. We will be staying again soon in the future.

AlstonNgohGreat stay at Sheraton Hai Phong Hotel. The hotel was very clean, and the location was convenient. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. The gym and swimming pool were excellent, and the breakfast had a wide variety of choices. The service staff were friendly, polite, and welcoming. The front desk and bell staff were also very professional and courteous. Overall, it met the standard I would expect from a Marriott hotel, and I was not disappointed.
One small area for improvement is the bathroom ventilation. The exhaust fan was not very strong, and sometimes there was a slight smell in the bathroom when the air conditioning was not on.

SAMSAM@Location & Transportation: The hotel boasts an excellent location with convenient access to dining and shopping. It's just a few minutes' walk from the subway station and various attractions.
Ambiance & Hygiene: The lobby design is simple yet grand. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was soft and fresh. There was even a subtle fragrance in the air, allowing me to completely relax the moment I stepped in.
Service: The front desk lady was very friendly and processed my check-in quickly. She even upgraded my room for free! Room service was very responsive; the extra toiletries I requested were delivered within minutes. A special shout-out to the cleaning staff; every day I returned to a perfectly tidied room, and they even left thoughtful handwritten greeting cards.
Facilities & Comfort: The mattress was just right, neither too soft nor too firm, and there were pillows of various heights to choose from. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep until morning. There was plenty of hot water, and the shower pressure was perfect, washing away all the day's fatigue.

Flamingo Bay Resort in Cat Ba has a fantastic location, making it easy to enjoy the surrounding scenery and nearby attractions. The setting is definitely one of its strongest points.
During my stay, there were quite a lot of kids around, which made some areas feel a bit noisy and less relaxing than expected. Also, the outdoor pool was under renovation at the time, which was a bit disappointing since it’s one of the amenities I was looking forward to.
Overall, it’s a solid choice for its location, but the experience may vary depending on what you’re looking for in terms of atmosphere and available facilities.

I did not receive the room type that I reserved through Trip.com. My booking was for two suite rooms, each with two beds and one sofa bed, to accommodate a total of nine guests. Upon arrival, the reception staff informed me that this room type was not available and stated that the listing on Trip.com was incorrect. As a result, the rooms provided do not match my confirmed reservation, causing significant inconvenience to my group. I would appreciate an explanation for this discrepancy and an appropriate resolution as soon as possible.

The hotel was very nice. Great location and view (sunset from the rooftop bar is fantastic). If it wasn't for the construction in front of the hotel, this hotel would be the bees knees. It is close to our tour operator and mini markets. The staff so helpful and informative. Jong, one of the managers, organised a taxi for us to take us from our tour in the harbour to our speedboat to take us to Ha Long City. The speedboat driver organised the taxi driver to take us to our hotel in Ha Long City. It was well organised for us at half the price that we paid to get to Cat Ba Island. We were taken advantage of in the beginning of the Cat Ba Island adventure as unknowledgeable tourists, but we were treated so well on our departure trip from Cat Ba Island thanks to Jong.

- No elevator from first to second floor, if you have a large luggage will to carry to second floor
