Hotel Nehrus

The hotel rooms are in dipalated condition. The bathroom is awful. Poor maintenance by ***agement. The positive is that the hotel staff including the kitchen staff are very hospitable and the food cooked is delicious.

We had a memorable stay of 2 nights in Hotel Nehrus in the first week of June 2023. I booked a Cottage Room Online and was a little apprehensive about the quality of our stay but it proved to be a great decision. Hotel location is superb, bang on the side of the famous Dal Lake. Food quality is good, Restaurant and Room service is up to the mark. The hotel staff is very well ***nered and co-operative. The best part is the Personal touch and care exhibited by Hotel ***ger Mr. Salim. He is a fine gentle*** and takes care of all the guests with the true motto of "Athiti Devo Bhava". A big thank you to Mr. Salim and the entire Hotel staff for the warm hospitality, If you are looking for a Hotel with a homely feeling I will definitely recommend you to check for Availability at Hotel Nehrus.

the whole stay was amazing with hotel Nehru's family . service is excellent., location is unbeatable ,food is very tasty. Staff is very polite and humble. they have big green lawn with Kashmir famous chinar tree.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable as it is right in front of the Dal Lake. The hotel rooms have been renovated recently. The staff is very courteous, polite. The food is good and the restaurant has a very nice garden where they serve food. There is free wifi and parking. Some local attractions like Shankaracharya Hill, Mughal gardens, Botanical gardens are close by.

We booked 2 rooms on line & stayed on 04-07-2022 for a night. No water supply was available in bathrooms/Taps. "Extremely Dirty Rooms "full of "Flyers- Makkhi & Mosquitos". Bed Sheets & pillows were dirty & teared off. Fan regulator was broken. “Almost 13-14 Street Dogs have per***ent home in the Hotel compound, Stair/Premises”. Whole night “Barking”. You can not sleep calmly. above all lot of nuisance of shouts, noise from Tourist on abutting Road whole night, which doesn’t allow you to sleep/rest.. I have a videos and Phone recorded with owners on the similar issues, they are not bothered and rude on this. Hotel ***ager Mr. Saleem & Owner Mr. Motilal Nehru is totally non-cooperative and money minded, not worried about their reputation and guests staying their. Hotel is very old and not maintained properly. My “Big Nooooooooooooooo” for “Nehrus’ hotel”…..Don’t suicide by choosing this hotel….One will spoil his memories of beautiful Srinagar…….There are ***y good Options of stay in House boat like “Merry Dawn, Impex Hill Resorts”, Lake Avenue by Stay pattern in lesser budget with CP/MAP.
