Eagles Palace

Expensive, but a beautiful location and good service and excellent food. Transfer from airport is 1 and 1/2 hours Sakis and Maria in the Eagles Cafe were amazing and took really good care of us at lunchtimes for a relaxed lunch out of the midday heat.

One of the best hotels I experienced. An entire crew at your service! Beautiful views, nice beach, perfect for families that want to enjoy their vacations without being in an huge hotel without soul,… and … calm for holidays.

We landed at Thessaloniki a bit after lunchtime , which was perfect, as the transfer is an hour and a half and it is great to do it in the daytime. Really a beautiful journey. The checking in was done quickly and we were soon in our room on the second floor. It was a superior room and we had the garden and hills in front. Lovely view. The room was nice, had everything we needed. Good beds, excellent reading lights and a very useful fridge. The air con was working very well, perhaps a bit too noisy . We were on half board. Food was very good at breakfast and at supper. We complimented the chef when we were there. A charming jolly person that helped you with any questions. An excellent chef. I suffer from indigestión and never had a problem. To be on half board is very convenient due to the hotel being isolated. If you eat outside , there is the odd bee. Obviously, there are plenty of beautiful flowers and the bees arrive. It is nothing as bad as certain reviews describe it. You can have your meals inside but there are a lot of children. It is more than normal that there is noise and some tears. The iPads were extremely helpful to keep the little ones entertained with their Paw Patrol and T-Rex . There is , as well , a lovely cat , meandering around the tables . It is nice to see that the staff are kind to animals. I have experienced terrible scenes with animals all over the world. The pool is packed with children and inflatables, so if you are a pool lover bear that in mind . The beach is beautiful, particularly the silent section. Very clean and the sea is blue and crystal clear with fishes swimming around you. You could walk to Ouranoupolis on the beach, it would take an hour and a half approximately, obviously one has to consider the heat. I would not recommend walking on the road. There is no pavement and cars go fast. There is a bus and taxis and plenty of tours and restaurants, in Ouranoupolis. It is a really nice hotel and perfect for children. Saying that, we were on our own and we had a very relaxing holiday. The best months to go ,if possible , would be June and September. The reason of my removal of one star is due to the very unreliable internet connection. I did inform reception , but nothing much was done. They told me to use it downstairs but it really did not make a lot of difference. I emailed the hotel to see what the dress code in the Melathron restaurant was. They advised me no shorts or flip flops, for supper. Needless to say , plenty of people with shorts and flip flops for supper. If they have a rule , it needs enforcing. I would like to mention Christina in the restaurant, she was great and very friendly, as was our chambermaid that had our room always ready. Finally we had a great holiday, a beautiful off the beaten track location, and we would happily come back with the family. The Greek sea was just to die for.

It was a very fun experience it was luxury. The staff were amazing and kind. All of the boat rides and water activities are so fun. I learnt so many new things like diving and snorkelling. I would highly recommend it. The facilities were phenomenal

Amazing experience for the third time in 4 years !! The location of the hotel itself is extraordinary.. I always believe that the hotel is the people working there . As for that I give them real 5 stars . Greek hospitality at its best under 45 degrees Celsius ! The staff Of the main restaurant George Cheff Asterios and Stafanos SOTIRIS Christine was always there for everything . The buffet of the main restaurant is as far the best I have seen . If you go to this hotel don’t hesitate to ask for these names and I believe you will have your best vacation ever

We were there for two weeks. The resort is amazing, in a very nice location, well decorated and well managed. The room was a junior suite with plenty of space for 2 people, with huge bed and breathtaking view. Food was delicious to all restaurants. The buffet at the main restaurant was good for breakfast. The chef is excellent! We really enjoyed the fish at the seaside restaurant and the pasta at the Italian restaurant. The main bar had party every second day and the barman is very professional. The beach bar was always busy but the staff very nice. We will definitely return again next year.

A monastery of rest & relaxation. Well run & administered. Excellent facilities, gym, spa, outdoor pools. Pick for us was the Eagle’s Villa / Cabin nest at the top of the resort, steep hill. Spectacular views and delicious views and espresso martinis. Tip : ask reception for a buggy ride up the hill. Tip : buy or use sea shoes / pebbly beach and stood on Black Sea urchin - thx to the Padi scuba gang on the beach to help extract the spines Tip : go for the all Inclusive package / add on drinks add up €10.50 for glass of wine / €5.50 for sparking water / €15.50 for a martini.

Amazing 5-star resort, friendliest personal ever. Breakfast and dinner buffets are great and healthy. The private beach, the amazing pools, fluffiest towels ever. The rooms are big and spacious and very clean. The buffets offer all possibilities, from meat and fish to vegetarian and vegan. The drinks and wine menu offers possibilities for all. The hotel is child-friendly. The views from the hotel are breathtaking.

I booked Eagles Palace as it seemed like an affordable option for a family room at a beach resort. Other reviewers on here explained how expensive everything there was but I didn’t quite appreciate just how expensive - we felt ripped off at every turn. We are lucky enough not to usually have to worry about looking at prices on menus but even we were shocked at just how much everything cost and by the end I just wished we had booked a more expensive hotel as the cost worked out the same. As an example, my one year old was charged 25 euro for a buffet dinner when he eats the tiniest amount. It cost 50 euros extra for a deep tissue massage than a normal massage which I thought was bizarre and extortionate. Main meals at dinner were easily over 30 euros. Also other reviewers are right that the walls are paper thin - at one point I genuinely thought someone was breaking into our room because I could hear literally everything from next door. I met another family who were leaving earlier because of this.
