Guest UserGet this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave.
Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play.
The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way.
The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned.
The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture)
If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe.
I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China.
However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too.
These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host!
I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

Guest UserI was very curious how a property with such an affordable price has a such a high rating. I was immediately convinced by myself.
The property is perfectly located in the Southern part of the Island near Crocodile Mountain and its beautiful beach as well as South Bay with countless options of tasty seafood. The room is big, bright, clean and smells great. There is everything a traveller needs. The highlight is clearly the boss, she is very warm, welcoming and very kind. There was a book in my room which I took out of curiosity to read on the beach, and I realized it contained great messages. I asked the boss if she is willing to sell it to me but she gave it for free. She told me that she deliberately puts books with great messages for young people in the room since many students stay in her property. Wow...I wish more people in this world would be like the boss. Don't hesitate and book a room here. If I ever happen to be again on this island, I know where to stay!!

Guest UserThe owner of this guesthouse is from Northeast China, and we truly felt their warmth. From the moment we got off the boat, the driver picked us up and even told us jokes. Once we arrived at the guesthouse, the owner explained the sightseeing routes on Weizhou Island to us, worried we might make a mistake. She always reminded us to be careful when we went out and to come back early at night – she was so incredibly thoughtful. When we were leaving after two days, she even gave us a free ride to the port to catch the ferry, and she personally escorted us to our car. The location is also incredibly convenient; it's close to everything. Highly recommend it! Everyone should stay here!

It’s a perfect spot for visiting Beihai. You get amazing value for money. Quality room and a lot of space too , as well as a great location close to shops and railway station. Beach isn’t close but it’s easy to reach with DiDi. No issues with getting around town either. Great power shower, good a/c , bed is comfy, and the soundproofing works!
A negative is SMOKING! Even though it’s covered in no smoking signs it still happens. Rooms can fill with smell of next door smoking or some ignoramus walking along the corridor puffing away. It’s an issue for most hotels due to the high number of smokers in China, but if they enforced fines consistently then maybe it would stop more doing it. Having said that , I still use City Comfort because the POSITIVES massively outweigh that single negative.
No frills. Just delivers on quality at a value price with good staff.

The front desk service is very good, enthusiastic, and helps with travel transportation. The room is new, the apartment facilities are good and quiet, and the community is very new. I mainly went to the mangrove forest to play, and went to the nearby Binhai International Wetland Park to play in the sea, play on the mudflats, and take pictures. It takes 20 minutes to walk from the homestay. It costs 10 yuan to take a taxi from the homestay to Silver Beach. There is a canteen in the community, which is in a leisure activity center. You can go there for a walk. There is a pool.

Guest UserI came to Weizhou Island for a day trip alone. This hotel is great. The owner personally went to the pier to pick me up. Thumbs up to the owner! The hotel also offers electric bike rentals at affordable prices. The bikes can be ridden very fast and it’s so cool to take a ride on the beach! The boss is a local of Weizhou Island. He can also give you a guide to check in around the island. You can check in the scenic spots according to the guide. If you don’t understand, you can ask the boss
I bought a double room, but the boss changed it to a king-size room when he saw I was alone. The bed was really big, and the space was also large. It felt like it was almost 30 square meters. Surrounded by fields, it was quiet at night.
Weizhou Island is so beautiful!

Guest UserThe most satisfying thing about this trip is this homestay, which must be given a full five stars! The real shots of the listing are exactly the same as the real scene. You can feel clean and warm as soon as you enter the door. The floor, bathroom, and bedding are all cleaned spotlessly, and there is no dust in the corner. The mattress pillows are moderately firm and sleep well all night. The landlord is caring and responsible throughout the whole process, sends detailed check-in routes in advance, responds at any time if you have any questions, and also shares local play guides. The convenience store and restaurant downstairs are complete and convenient to travel. The overall price/performance ratio is full, and I will definitely buy back next time. I really recommend it!

First of all, the location is very good, the highway is down, more than 200 meters away, the passing accommodation is recommended, there is its own parking lot, about the room, clean and hygienic, the reception is not bad.
