"1. I booked a deluxe twin room, but the pictures in the advertisements didn't match the actual room; this is false advertising. 2. Upon arrival, the front desk said that if I canceled my online booking and rebooked through the front desk, I could get a free upgrade to a scenic twin room. Please, platform management, address this; what does this mean? 3. There's a cesspool right outside the hotel; it stinks terribly. Every time I leave and return, I feel nauseous and want to vomit. 4. There's a large step at the intersection of the hotel and the road, making it very inconvenient for electric scooters. I almost tipped over every time; it's too dangerous. 5. There's dirt on the right-hand side outside the hotel; cars kick up dust everywhere they go. 6. The hotel is extremely small and only has one old, dilapidated elevator that's incredibly noisy. 7. The room's decor is very basic, and the windows are broken and worn; I'm worried about my child's safety. 8. The hotel's name is like the "Regent Grand Hotel" from the movie "From Beijing with Love." Doesn't the government care? How dare such a terrible hotel call itself an international grand hotel? Does it deserve that title? 9. Went for breakfast at 9 am, and the few side dishes, like cucumber salad, were all gone, and they wouldn't refill them; the soy sauce in the vinegar bottle was so salty that vinegar lovers would find it unbearable. 10. The sink was clogged when I checked in, and they didn't care about the mess. 11. The door wouldn't close properly. 12. The bathroom was extremely small; the door was so small you couldn't even stand inside. The design was bizarre. In conclusion, this room is only worth 100-200 yuan, but it cost 664 yuan. If it weren't for the inconvenience of traveling with a child, I would have moved already. It's a total rip-off!"

The breakfast was excellent with really friendly workers and excellent choice. The gate workers were friendly. The room had all the facilities necessary to stay for a week, I liked the nearby guest laundry. The view was fantastic. Most of all Xiao Luo was brilliant, helping us at every occasion. Would recommend. Shame the pool was closed as it was advertised to stay open until the end of November."

The front desk staff at check-out were also very welcoming. I especially loved the lobby design; it's very photogenic! The room was excellently clean, with no unpleasant odors. If I ever plan to visit Beihai again, this will definitely be my first choice."

"This hotel is absolutely fantastic! It's just a stone's throw from the beach, so you can literally walk out and enjoy the sea. Unlike some trendy B&Bs, this is a legitimate hotel, and it shows in the quality of their bathroom fixtures, linens, and excellent hygiene. I initially booked for one night but extended my stay for another in a garden-view room. For families with kids, I highly recommend the garden-view rooms; the balcony provides much better ventilation, which is a plus since it's a new hotel! Breakfast is served until 2 PM, and they'll even deliver takeout right to your room. The shuttle service is on-call and super attentive. Downstairs, there's a small commercial area with restaurants and a beachside coffee shop. It has a chic, advanced aesthetic, almost giving off an Aranya vibe. The only minor drawback is that it's a bit far from the pool. If the pool were on that open beach area outside the lobby, it would be absolutely perfect."

"This is our second stay at the hotel, and this time we brought our family. I specifically requested adjoining rooms on the same floor, and Lulu went out of her way to arrange connecting rooms for us, which was so convenient for our family. Next time I visit, I'll definitely ask her to help us again. The room was fantastic, with a beautiful sea view, and all the facilities were great. The location is excellent too. The Chinese restaurant on the second floor of the hotel is also excellent; the dim sum is delicious, and dinner was great. The anniversary promotions were very generous and offered good value. I'll definitely eat there again next time. Shangri-La Beihai, I will certainly stay here again!"

"This is probably the best and newest legitimate hotel on the island (compared to guesthouses). It's under the Banyan Tree brand, so the quality is definitely there. When it first opened, there were some teething problems and a lot of complaints. I also encountered issues like difficulty reaching them by phone and a mix-up with the complimentary whale-watching time. However, once I arrived, I felt it was pretty good, especially with Manager Bai at the front desk, who handled problems meticulously and professionally. The whale-watching package I pre-booked exceeded expectations! The full sea-view room offered an incredible vista; you open the window right to the ocean and the Blue Bridge. The location isn't in the bustling commercial area, so it's relatively quiet. We had both meals at the hotel, which was a bit pricey but didn't disappoint. We were also lucky enough to see whales nearby, spouting water and feeding for a while. Overall, it really amplified the vacation vibe. If you're looking for a high-quality hotel on Weizhou Island, I highly recommend this one!"

The neighborhood atmosphere was also great, making it perfect for a relaxing vacation. The place was very clean, and they were incredibly responsive to any needs after check-in. They patiently recommended nearby attractions and local restaurants, treating guests like friends. The facilities were also very complete."

"My stay at Lavande Hotel started a wonderful journey. The lobby was stylish and the environment elegant. The receptionist was warm and attentive, patiently explaining the various functions of the hotel. The laundry room was clean and tidy, with disinfectant, laundry pods, and other detergents neatly arranged. There was even a robot laundry service that kids loved. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom fixtures were stylish. I especially loved the background music in the bathroom, which you could even adjust and select songs. Since I was traveling with children, the receptionist provided two complimentary breakfasts. The breakfast selection was exquisite and varied, including yogurt and ham that my children enjoyed…; this will definitely be my first choice for my next trip to Beihai! 😊"
