The public areas are spacious and open; sitting by the window, gazing at the mountains and listening to the breeze, feels as if time has slowed down. 🛏️The rooms are clean and bright, with soft, comfortable bedding and premium toiletries. Every detail is meticulously crafted, and the service is attentive and thoughtful, like a gentle spring breeze. 🌿The most unforgettable thing is the silence—only the chirping of birds and the rustling of bamboo create a true barrier against the hustle and bustle of the world. The B&B is located at the highest point of the mountain. It happened to rain during the two days of the trip. I thought I would be able to see the sea of ​​clouds the next day, but it turned out to be foggy when I woke up early. But I was not disappointed. Chenjiapu has a unique flavor when it rains, and the view from the room is great. It's the best. It's a refreshing day hiding in the mountains away from the city's atmosphere. If you like a different Chenjiapu, don’t complain about the bad weather, enjoy the moment, wear a jacket and get wet in the rain, at that moment freedom reaches its peak. Another thing to mention is that the boss was so nice. He introduced us to the village when he arrived late that day, called us in advance to ask what time we would arrive, and even helped us carry our luggage. This was by far the most delightful stay of our trip. Staying in an old house within an ancient village offered a truly unique experience. The old house was incredibly well-preserved, and every decorative detail showcased the owner's thoughtful touches. The room itself was thoughtfully modernized to suit contemporary guests, and yes, it really, really, really had a smart toilet! 🚽 We had dinner at the guesthouse both nights, ordering from the owner. While the prices were a little higher than outside, the ingredients were exquisite, the preparation was refined, and the dining atmosphere was wonderfully atmospheric. The food itself was very satisfying. (I absolutely loved the tofu, which is apparently a local specialty). Also, when you're exploring the village, don't forget to say hello to the local dogs! 🐶 They're all very friendly, and we became good pals with them over our two-day stay.

The hotel is in central location, walking distance to the old part of town and surrounded by food options. All rooms face a busy intersection with traffic and commerce noise starting early in the morning until 10pm. Windows will block part of noise but not all. Gym is just a pair of treadmills, don't expect a workout space. Staff is very attentive and willing to help. Beds, pillows and sheets are comfortable and the shower is good. However, if you are not a smoker, I don't recommend staying here, nor in any other Ji hotel. I travel extensively and tried Ji hotels in several Chinese cities from North to South. They are consistent with service, cleanliness and bed comfort, but all of them have a major issue of not enforcing the non smoking rule, and besides that, their air conditioner system brings smokey air from different rooms directly into yours. It is a pity. Unfortunately, beautiful China is full of selfish smokers. We need better enforcement and at least air purifiers in each room.

I booked this guesthouse last year, but couldn't go for some reason. Finally, I got to go this year! From Lishui Station, it's less than a ten-minute walk to the Yunhe Rice Terraces Visitor Center. The moment I entered the courtyard, I could tell it was thoughtfully designed; the layout was perfect, and the cleanliness made it very comfortable. The guesthouse owners were incredibly welcoming. They escorted the three of us to our room. I was a little confused about the Yunhe Rice Terraces travel guide, and the owner explained everything in detail, even contacting the attractions to let us know if we had any questions. At noon, they even took us to the restaurant and told us we could contact them if we had any problems at the attractions that afternoon. They were so kind! Because of the number of people, we changed rooms. The room was clean and tidy, with plenty of sunlight. The owner's noodles were delicious; I especially loved the texture of the eggs—I couldn't get enough! Every day I had a big bowl with side dishes, and I felt so satisfied before going out to play! The guesthouse also paid great attention to detail; the spotlights at the bottom of the stairs were sensor-activated, so the elderly wouldn't have trouble seeing the stairs. The mirror-like terraced fields are beautiful now, but you have to go early; once the sunlight is too strong, they're not as stunning. I'll definitely come back in the fall!

What a surprise! It exceeded my expectations. It felt like visiting a history museum; it was my first time staying in such a century-old house. Highly recommended. The housekeeper mentioned that the second-floor suite in the innermost building was originally built for a sanatorium for ** (a person's name, likely a typo, should be 60 years old). The scenery and atmosphere are fantastic, and the octagonal pavilion is over a hundred years old. This was an ancient post station; choosing to stay here in Longquan is definitely worthwhile.
