Great central location - very clean and tidy. Lots of up todate local information - great supply of linen, and a good kitchen to share. Clean spacious shared shower rooms with good water pressure. Can accommodate families for a reasonable price.

This place is fantastic. So well run by an amazing Sandra and is welcoming and clean with fresh laundered towels and a handsome ginger cat. would stay there again most definitely. There is even a shelf of coffee plungers ! can not recommend more highly.

Amazing stay at Riverstone as we were using Turangi as a base for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Place was spotless and it was very handy having a kitchen to prepare meals and snacks for the crossing. Sandra was awesome, very friendly and full of so much information. Would definitely stay here again.

Sets the bar fir a backpacker lodge. All the comforts of home. Super clean and well laid out. Lots of information on activities in the area and how to have fun and stay safe doing them. Room was warmed up for us when we got in late. Thanks so much. Highly recommend.

Can't fault this lodge and its owner who is extremely hospitable and obliging she made us feel extremely welcome we are retired and travelled with my sister and husband who stayed at the lodge in a well-appointed room with ensuite and she invited us in to share the lodge facilities for dinner with them even though we had our own Motorhome. Couldn't recommend this place more. it was so good we booked to stay again on our return visit Great location too handy for shops and walk to river

Great setting and placement - only a 4-5 minute walk from town and shops. We hired this place out for the weekend, for a 50th birthday. Lots of space, good clean rooms and a good kitchen/dining/lounge area, plus a neat outside deck (with BBQ) to hang out.

I’ve been staying here during winter primarily, for the past 3-4 years, and love the homely vibe, and great hospitality!!! Look forward to leaving something there again soon 😂😂 Can’t recommend the place enough Justin

We had booked a double room with ensuite for one night and were very happy with our choice. The room was quiet, the hostel clean, and we enjoyed the cosy atmosphere of the shared facilities, large kitchen and dining room. Good opportunity to meet other guests. Very friendly and hospitable owners! We will be back as the area around Turangi has a lot to offer.
