Walpole Hotel Motel

Awesome lunch at the local pub for two, on a Friday afternoon. Thai beef salad and garden salad with chicken was Fremantle standard or better!. New management and better standard, friendly and helpful staff, great chef. Newly renovated, comfy dining chairs, very clean and fresh.

To say the room was modest would be the understatement of the year.These rooms are old and they show it, it was somewhere to sleep as nothing else was available.Normally I would say $160/night is reasonably cheap but not in a rathole like this, very disappointed.

The pictures on the website are completely inaccurate. What a waste of money! The place was filthy with so many spiders everywhere. Empty coke cans on top of cupboards, missing tiles in bathroom, carpets falling to pieces and torn up, dust over everything, water stains all over ceiling. A sign in the room says ‘We are aware that some rooms are old and need updating…’ how about you start by actually hiring a cleaner! 2 mins and a duster would take care of yrs of built up spider webs but seems the owners couldn’t care less. Wifi doesn’t work of course, limited TV stations and another sign says you can access your own smart TV accounts….only problem is the TV is as outdated as the room and therefore was invented pre-smart TV. I honestly don’t know how they are still in business and haven’t been shutdown? We were going to eat at the restaurant as nothing in town was open but knowing how bad the rooms are wasn’t sure we’d survive so gave that a miss. Worst motel I’ve ever stayed at.

Rooms and outside run down and unkept Surprising how this standard can be allowed in this day and age Dirty shower and toilet mouldy paintwork sink in poor condition and dirty,cupboard doors screwed shut and only1 free socket to charge devices asked about wifi password and was told no coverage,only to find instructions hidden on a notice behind the door A strange door next to the door no idea what it was used for but it had a lock and key which we never received outside the unit is a drain in very poor condition and would be very unsure of treading on it We had 2 nights booked but bailed after 1 went to check out but no one on the desk so left the key in the early checkout box only to find 3 members of staff smoking outside.

What a run down hole I don’t think anything has changed since the 60s I would not bother with the restaurant the food is bad unless you want a burger and chips all they are capable of making . Although the staff try you can’t make a purse from a sows ear

Very basic accommodation. Linen is clean and the rooms are large. It really is a tired and grubby option. Not much to talk about here. Checkout the pictures. The shower ran boiling hot then freezing cold. I was almost too scared to brush my teeth near the basin. The floor in the entrance needs scrubbing. The TV sound was bad.

We always go to local pubs for dinner but this is the worst we have ever been to. The food was expensive and extremely bad. The $49 steak was full of fat and tasted disgusting. The chicken snitzel was as hard as a rock with a handful of shredded white coloured lettuce on the side. There is zero ambience and surly staff. They hated being there as much as we did. We would have left but met a really lovely couple on the way there who we had dinner with. There was also nowhere else to go in Walpole on a Sunday night other than a take away. We were very disappointed that they couldn’t cook a steak or snitzel!!! They also kicked us out at 8:30 🙃

The food was shocking! $46 for a piece of meat full of fat and microwaved. Schnitzel was like road kill. Bathrooms need a renovation! Sinks are all rusted. Shower pressure was pathetic. Never again will we stay here Nor eat!
