This farmstay was highlight of my month long trip in Vietnam! The Chapa Farmstay is a unique and meaningful place to enjoy the northern mountain environment, lifestyle, and beautiful hearts of the Hmong people. It is blissfully quiet and rural about 20 minutes ride outside of the frenzy and lights of Sa Pa town. The cabins are wonderful and cosy with plentiful hot water. You look out from your balcony to a mountainous tree covered hillside and down valley towards a village a couple miles away by foot. I hiked two days with local guides and wished I could have stayed another week at least to do more hiking and to enjoy the tranquility of the area. The hosts were tremendously kind and helpful. Beautiful and delightful extended family was often around as well. The food was authentic local dishes and very tasty.

The most lovely stay in Sapa. The family is wonderful and helpful. The rooms were clean and unlike any other place you can stay. The view from the farmstay is so breathtaking, you are basically staying inside the rice terraces. The one minus point is that it is located a little far from downtown Sapa (about 20-25 minutes via mountain roads) so a bit difficult to get in and out. Other than that, can’t ask for more from Chapa Farmstay!

We enjoyed our stay and the staff were extremely accommodating, providing two comfortable rooms for our small family and a late check-out, both of which were appreciated. The views are awesome and the location feels nicely remote yet isn't - its no hardship at all to get around. In-room amenities - shower, beds, etc. - were great. WiFi only works in the lobby and isn't that fast anyway. Restaurant has a great view and good food but we got so badly attacked by mosquitoes that we had to retreat early. Staff don't have any mozzie coils or other means of defeating the critters, which is a miss. Value-for-money was, in our case, quite good thanks to room upgrade.

Stayed for 3 nights at Chapa Farmstay, very warm welcome by the host family included (+dinner ❤️). Incredibly versatile food and also great breakfast choices. Room was very comfortable and great view on the valley below and the mountains nearby. The host family helps a lot with organizing cabs, trekking tours and all the questions you got about the surrounding. Host Mum is fluent in english, making things really easy. Had a great time at Chapa Farmstay and would gladly drop by again.

Very relaxing collection of several huts on a hillside with stunning views up and down the Muong Hoa valley, with friendly service from the Hmong owners. The resort is quite isolated, however, and the best way to access it and all that Sapa has to offer is with motorbike rental - otherwise it's a long trek in and out of town. Also, the track down the hillside is steep and crumbling in places. The food on offer is minimal - limited breakfast options and a very limited dinner menu - so you will need to eat out if you stay more than a couple of days. No wifi in rooms.

The beauty of this place is in its simplicity, away from the maddening crowd in town. The surrounding is quiet and peaceful. The surrounding scenery is gorgeous! The host family is warm, friendly and helpful. It is truly a place for retreat, to restore and to rejuvenate.

Excellent! Lee and her husband were so warm and hospitable. We had a lovely view from our room. Lee arranged a customised itinerary based on our needs. Truly enjoyable stay. Great eco touristy place.

Where do I start ? The views are divine, the family is so kind and beautiful, the hospitality was amazing ! Lee arranged a wonderful trek for us and we stayed in a gorgeous room with incredible views. If you are after a rustic, charming eco lodge with great bathrooms and want a bit of serenity outside the hussle and noise of Sapa - this place is for you. Breakfast was lovely and they allowed us a late check out because they had a free room. I love the charm of this place and the fact that it was an ecologically friendly place to stay - glass water bottles in your room, refill for shampoo and body wash. We stayed in the height of summer and the breeze at night and fan was enough to keep us cool. Felt like coming home - an amazing place to unwind and relax.

This is by far the best farmstay/homestay/hotel that me and my boyfriend have ever been to. The room is spacious, airy, bright, in a traditional minimalistic design, all made out of high quality natural materials with a big panorama window. The bathroom is modern and all functioned well. The balcony with the view is just breathtaking. The balcony is built in a way that you can even sit outside when it is raining without getting wet. And the garden! The garden is just huge and stunning with so many cool places to hang out. We had a very good and honest connection to the family. They would make sure we are comfortable, and I would definitely stay with them again when coming to Sa Pa. Their English skills are also very good. Special things that we noticed in a positive way: - the drinking water comes in glass bottles! (never seen that in whole Vietnam) - The windows and mirrors are spotless clean which of course is important for experiencing the best view (also never seen that in whole Vietnam) - bathroom is spotless clean - minimalistic design: makes the room airy, the furniture is well thought through. Maybe upon my feedback they will add a small open wardrobe for the clothes (which my boyfriend on the other hand thinks is not necessary, but I would appreciate one :-) ) - no TV: honestly, no TV is needed, the view is your TV - no aircon: we are high up in the mountains, the air is fresh and crisp, open the balcony door and the fresh air will flow into the room. This is an ecological farmstay, aircons are not ecological, we should only use aircon in really hot areas. - they have several meal options for vegetarians/vegans. Hopefully the menu card for vegetarians/vegans will grow in the future :-) Things to know: there is only wifi in the main building, but none in the bungalows. Again for ecological reasons, which makes sense, because the farmstay area is big. It did not bother me, because I have mobile data myself. If you want a special and authentic Sa Pa experience away from the hustle and bustle and with a real immersion into nature and into the Hmong culture, then you should definitely come and stay here.
