Azure by Yelken Hotel

Pretty abysmal really. I’ve absolutely no idea where all the positive reviews for this hotel come from. My family and I visited for 11 nights in August last year and were bitterly disappointed with the whole experience. The food is appalling on a daily basis. The layout of the complex is ridiculous when you realise the “aqua park” is a walk out of the complex to a very poorly maintained area with 2 really rubbish kids slides. The staff are about as cheerful as most of the guests. The awful “entertainment” is absolutely abysmal both day and night. The quiet pool where my family and I chose to spend out time to escape the awful noise that was the “family” pool area was unfit to swim in for a number of days during our visit as the water was absolutely disgusting. The opening hours of the bar area seemed to be subject to whether the staff could be bothered. Very disappointed having spent a lot of money to visit here and would NOT RECOMMEND and would most certainly NOT VISIT AGAIN.

This hotel was what we needed as a family holiday don’t take any notice at other reviews. We were three adults and one 3 old and a 1 year old we had an amazing time. All inclusive was really good and the weather was hot hot hot what we wanted. Do have a boat trip that book it with the guy that comes around the pool food is in the cost but be mindful of alcohol and soft drinks they cost an absolute fortune our bill was big lol. We would go back again.

I stayed in this hotel for a week in September 2023 with a friend. I have been to many different areas of Turkey before but this was my first time staying in Bodrum. I would rate this hotel at 4 stars at most, but more like 3 stars. Room - Only two plug sockets Bed sheet extremely thin and short (more like a towel) Balcony door issue, which took days to fix with several trips to reception Cleaners attended everyday Stocked mini bar and safe included Staff - Some managers were unhelpful A lot of staff speak poor/little English Bar staff/waiters were attentive Facilities - Back of hotel is right on the sea Boat trip run from outside back of hotel, we paid £35pp and was a good day, lunch is provided, drinks not included and very expensive Very limited entertainment and did not see any timetable/advertisements Lobby toilets not attended to Poor luggage hold - room is unlocked with no system for keeping track £40pp late checkout 30 min drive away from harbour/market and even further into the main town Food was average, samey but enough choice, mostly warm, lots not labelled Adequate cocktail menu Limited English music playing around pool Very few English people Lots of stray animals around the back of the hotel This hotel was average, no major issues that ruined the holiday but I definitely wouldn’t compare it to other 5* hotels I’ve stayed in in other areas of Turkey.

we stayed in room 3371 for our 2 week stay. the view was awful, disused water slide and pool full of black water. breakfast was probably the best of the day, only because you could have eggs or omelets the nearest thing to English food, although you'd probably be waiting around 10-15 minutes in the queue. all the pools had plenty of sunbeds, our favorite place to go was the jetty. the beach was very gritty, and only about 1-2 sunbeds in depth from the waters edge, which was very very pebbly. on a few occasions we tried to book the specialist restaurants in the hope the food might be better. so one morning we waited from 9.30, i was first. they open at 10, only to be told it was full, why because the turkish had booked it. the turkish always had priority. we were told we couldn't sit at an empty table in an already full bar as it was reserved, then 2 turkish came and sat there. there were only around 5% british at this resort. we were definitely the minority. the cleaning of our room was poor. he would knock around 8.20, which is not acceptable whilst on holiday. the floor and table, along with the ashtray was never wiped over or mopped during our 2 week stay. i spoke to customer relations to ask about our bed being changed, which should be every 3 days, this was day 11, even then the pillowcases weren't changed. towels were changed periodically, but the floor one, hardly ever. inside the shower cubicle, the base of the glass screen was very moldy. the push buttons for the toilet flush was full of lime scale and the bathroom light switch was loose. the entertainment, when there was any, was very poor, and yet again suited for the turkish. the hotel is in the middle of nowhere... a 40/45 minute walk or short taxi ride will take you too the harbor, shops and restaurants. the food was the same every single day...chicken, turkey or veal stews. i lived off chips and onion rings. i did have a chicken portion one day, only when i cut into it, it was still raw, full of blood. they did have a pizza oven but was never used. the restaurant opened at 6.30, we would go in around 7.30/8.00, only to find many of the dishes weren't replenished as the same for the cutlery on the table. would we go back-NO, would we recommend, 100% no. we booked with Jet2, this hotel is definitely not for the british.

The staff are fabulous in this hotel they really go out their way, rooms nice and spacious air con great and the views are amazing. Our cleaner was lovely also the lady on guest relations was great we asked about keeping our room on and she said that was not a problem and there would be no charge. Also I recommend booking a boat trip with marco lovely guy. Thank you azure for a memorable stay, the staff make this hotel exceptional Louise and Spencer liverpool xx

Just got back from 10 days at the Azure. Hotel was ok a bit dated by kept clean and tidy by tha staff. Needs a upgrade. Firstly the food, why do Jet2 think it's ok to send British people to a hotel that predominantly caters for Turkish people. I know it's a hotel in Turkey but if they advertised in their online adverts the fact that most of the food is Turkish then they wouldn't get many British bookings. No English breakfast i.e sausage,bacon tomatoes or beans, no decent cereal Snack bar just burgers and chips and few other selections Evening meals mostly undesirable apart from chips and some chicken pieces and vegetables. Sweets had no indication of what they were it was just pot luck. This was what they served up everyday,no variation at all. Drinks were good, Beach and jetty good Hotel in the middle of nowhere so it's a taxi to civilization. Most people we spoke to eat out a lot Sunbeds ok didn't have a issue getting one. Entertainment very poor Had to move rooms as the air con never worked from day 1. All in all 5/10 holiday won't be going here again. And to top it all off ,spent last 4 days with severe gastro enteritis. 🤮😣🙁

let's start with the fact that after arriving at the hotel we had to wait 2.5 hours for a room that was ready... only 2 people in the lobby knew English. After asking how long the room would be available, we received an answer that it was not ready yet. When another staff member came to the lobby, I was informed that the room was available for a long time... After entering the room, it was very stuffy and the air conditioning did not work as it should. The food in this hotel was terrible, always the same. For breakfast there was heated food from dinner, everything was old. For a week we only ate French fries because there was nothing else we could eat without getting poisoned. Bar staff cold and mean, forcing you to tip. Reusable cups that had not been washed before, smelled strange. There was no lifeguard at the pool, there were a lot of people from Turkey in the pool who didn't know how to behave well. The Turks were treated like gods, the rest were treated like garbage. The animators, if you can call them that, were a tragedy, the same thing over and over again, no information about when there would be any last-minute performances, everything. In addition, there were plenty of homeless dogs and cats wandering around the hotel. If you want to spend a nice and pleasant time in Turkey, definitely not in this hotel, I do not recommend a hotel with a maximum of 2 stars to anyone who would like to come here.

Öncelikle müşteri ilişkilerinden sorumlu Didem hanım dışında bütün otel çalışanlarına 12 saat üzerinde yaptıkları fazla mesaiye rağmen göstermiş oldukları ekstra çaba, ilgi ve alakaları için teşekkür ediyorum. Yalnız otelde animasyon adına hiçbirşey olmadığı için animation team tshirtleri ile dolaşan arkadaşların ne iş yaptığını anlamadım. Odalar geniş ve balkonlu, içkilerden rakı ve votka güzeldi. Ama yemekler çok kötü. Örneğin kahvaltıda çıkan beyaz peynir berbattı. Tatlılar da kötüydü. Baklava, şekerpare, puding ve altı kek üstü jöle gibi birşey çıkıyordu. Hepsi çok vasat. Snack bar çok yetersiz. Gözleme, pide, patates kızartması ve hamburger çıkıyor. Hepsi çok sıradan. Yani yemeklerden çok beğendim diyebileceğim hiçbirşey yoktu. Genelde yoğurt, pilav ve salata yedim, kahvaltıda yumurta zeytin karper peynir ve reçel. Denizi genelde dalgalı, Aqua parkı küçük ama çocuklar da küçük olduğu için yeterliydi. Havuzu da küçük ve kalabalıktı. Otelde kumsal dışında boş alan yok. Mini kulüpte genelde kapalıydı. Hiçbir aktivite görmedim. Ayakları kırık bir tane langırt vardı ama oynamak için top yoktu. Genel olarak memnun kalmadım. Burada 5 gece kalacağıma daha güzel bir otelde 2 gece kalmayı tercih ederim.

This hotel should not still be taking bookings!!! From a safety point of view, myself and my husband both cut our feet open I'm their 'aquapark!', we counted at least 40 people in out week that did the same , the tiles are broke in the pool so coming off the slide is like a cheese grater on your feet!!! Management had a look but left it open despite numerous medical interventions The 'described entertainment for children' is laughable and nothing for over about 4! Not as described on the website. The stench in the hotel is disgusting and the indoor pool we used was not cleaned for 4 days till we kept asking causing ants nests everywhere. Also hotel in the middle of nowhere! Shouldn't be allowed to run!!! We made the best of it by doing excursions on boat trips and aquapark which were fantastic. Won't be coming back !!!
