Taru Cave Suites

Rooms are fantastic. Service is great. Traditional breakfast was amazing. It is very quiet and peaceful. The busy part of Urgup with all the restaurants are at 5 min walk. The location does not have an on site restaurant (other than breakfast) but they can arrange delivery and you can use the breakfast dining site. For those with limited mobility this is one of few cave hotels with an elevator. They will arrange balloon flight with pick up and drop off at very reasonable price.

This is by far one of my most memorable hotel stays , truly fantastic experience . The rooms were lovely , very luxurious , comfortable beds , fabulous breakfast and the staff were so kind and could not do enough for us . We were a party of four adults . I would recommend a stay here anytime , I have already booked again for next May ,

If you're expecting a fancy 5-star with room service, spa, multiple restaurants and all the other creature comforts, Taru Cave Suites is not for you. They're a small, family-run business with ten rooms, so they don't have all those bells and whistles. What they DO have however, far outweighs what they don't – an authentic 'cave' experience balanced with just the right amount of modern-day comforts. We reached the hotel quite late and Daniel at the front desk was up, bright as a daisy, to check us in and help us get settled. The reception is at the top level and the rooms are spread across three levels down. The room itself was spacious with a cavernous (literally and figuratively) attached bath. A big, comfortable metal (wasn't sure if it was wrought iron or brass) bed, a couple of chairs and a TV assured us we were living in modern times. A huge balcony was the highlight (ours was the only room with a balcony). Sadly, it was raining and cold and windy, so we couldn't make proper use of it. There is no room service, nor does the hotel have attached restaurants. Of course, you can order in from the restaurants in Göreme city center (they have the menus in the room), but we chose to walk around and eat at authentic places close by. They do have a breakfast place where a staff of three makes fresh breakfast every morning. If it's not too cold, feel free to take your cup of coffee to the attached terrace and enjoy taking in the view. The staff is amazing – friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Special shout-out to Daniel (thank you for taking our calls at midnight just to tell us the WiFi password!) and Bahar (thank you for pointing us to the Apetito restaurant!) Would definitely recommend this place.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Taru Cave Hotel in Cappadocia and we are highly satisfied with the staff which is super polite and especially with the owner who makes all of his guests feel at home but at the same time on a vacation. Taru Cave Hotel is a place that makes you forget about your daily tensions as well as allowing you to enjoy peace and this is due to the staff that does not look upon the service as a job, but rather as their pleasure and a dream. For them it is important that all of the guests who visit the hotel are left with warmth in their hearts and visit them again.

Errol is a professional, friendly and passionate expert in the field of Chiropractor therapy, reflexology, deep sports massage and lymphatic drainage. I was introduced to him at Taru caves, Cappadocia where he customised the above therapies to my body requirements and worked on specific areas that needed imminent attention. As a medical doctor by profession, I can tell he is thorough in his craft and passionate to keep learning new techniques and therapies to help his clients. He performed similar sessions for both my parents and they were delighted with the instant relief that was gained in terms of pain relief and body tightness. I would whole heartedly recommended Erol to anyone in search of a good solid massage as he definitely is yet another gem of Cappodocia.
