Just the perfect place to stay and visit Machu Picchu! The rooms have amazing view & sound of the gushing river. Making it and ideal romantic stay on rainy days. Food is amazing with an excellent bar. Eric the bartender makes world class cocktails with a local twist making every evening a celebration with friends! Most memorable time here. Thank you will definitely visit again.

We enjoyed our stay so much. From the front desk to the concierge, housekeeper to the bartenders were nothing but first class service. We had a spectacular time. We even managed to squeeze in a massage and a facial during our short 24 hour stay.

When you think first class, think Sumaq. The setting on the river is picturesque, the restaurant and food is excellent, and the service was perfect in every way, and perfect access to Machu Picchu. The front desk personnel, Alexia made sure our bags arrived at train station for our planned departure as we were hiking Machu Picchu.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing couples massage after a long day in Machu Picchu. Sadith and Milagros were heavenly sent. The deep massage was euphoric and truly an out of body experience. My boyfriend even fell asleep during the Swedish/relaxing massage which is unheard of to his standards. We are extremely grateful to Sumac and the Spa Staff for the experience. From the preparation of the pre personal jacuzzi to the cold showers combo everything is truly impeccable and beyond.

Had the most wonderful experience with Rodrigo on our guided Machu Picchu tour. He was extremely patient and helped us understand the significance of the historical site. He was fluent in communication and took great photos. Highly recommended.

Wonderful stay Great staff Amazing food Chef is 1st class. Lots of first class food. Wait staff are fast and attentive Larry the bartender makes the best pisco sour Great rooms. The whole hotel is spotless A smooth fast check out done by Alexia

Enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel for our 2 visits to Machu Picchu. We ate in the restaurant after visiting MP and it was very good. Ingrit who speaks perfect English took time to explain the contents of each course. Room was great with a river view and hotel just a short walk from the station and centre of town. Great service and highly recommended.

The hotel is gorgeous and very modern. We had a spacious room with a nice river view. The room & bathroom are spotless clean. Breakfast starts from 5am. Hotel has good wifi connection as well. It is 5-7 minutes walk to machu picchu bus station.

Had a wonderful stay at the beautiful SUMAQ Hotel while exploring Machu Picchu. The staff very welcoming and helpful. Rooms and food were great. Be sure to visit their lovely spa. The 90 minute full body massage and exfoliation was pure bliss!
