Within 2 weeks we stayed here twice. Beginning of the trip for 5 days and end of the trip for 3 days. Love the outlay of the hotel, food is good, you’ll always find something to eat that’s tasty, sometimes even amazing. Drink and coffee were good. Everyone was friendly and courteous. Room was great on the first leg (we were in main building) but for the last 3 days was a little disappointed. We were in a bungalow st the very end and unfortunately the room was more run down. That was disappointing but the 3 days passed quickly anyway. Just wished there was abit more consistency on that. Everyone deserves a nice room, shouldn’t be luck of the draw. It was my third time here, I really enjoy this hotel and would come back

Everything we needed was in the room and everything worked. I'm glad we have a room on the second floor of the furthest house so we can rest comfortably instead of hanging out. Considering the jet lag was minus 8 hours, we got up before dawn and took an early morning walk along the beach adding a positive vibe to our hotel stay. The sheets and towels were clean, the room was washed every day, and the smell was pleasant, neither harsh nor harsh (considering the arrivals post-coronavirus). The room was large, and the stay was comfortable and quick (which was important after a 12 hour flight). The sea is clean and the beach is comfortable. Most vacationers prefer swimming and sunbathing by the pool, which is a plus for us (Desolate Beach). As for cleanliness, one thing I'd note, the staff has plenty to do to clean hotel areas and the beach, but it's already a matter of educating vacationers who obviously don't plan on cleaning themselves (although there are plenty of litter bins ). As for the food - I won't comment, there was enough and a good variety, but there was also a queue (staff filled up guests' plates due to post-covid restrictions). The hotel is old but clean and needs to be refurbished, but this does not in any way affect the comfort of the hotel for holidaymakers. I thank all the workers who took the time and effort to create a comfortable rest a**osphere, we could not stay for more than 3 days off (time passed too slowly, I wanted to be active). Thanks!

We have only been here a few days, but so far we are happy with this resort. Beach is beautiful, pool is clean and water is warm. There has been no need to save chairs as lots always seem to be available. We are staying in an ocean view room on the fifth floor which has a nice sitting area and is kept clean. Greta and Naidely from the concierge services have been very friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and staff at the front desk/reception have also been friendly and helpful. So far we have had no issues with food or drinks. We did bring ketchup, mustard and maple syrup with us as these items do not always appear to be readily available. Drinks, particularly the mojitos and sangria are very good and beer appears to be readily available. Red wine has been available with dinner. Staff at all the restaurants and bars have also been friendly and quick to meet our needs. So far, very happy with our stay. Tip. Some vendors prefer USD over CDN dollars, so you might want to bring both with you.

I will not give this resort more than 1 star for very bad food selection. If you are planning to come to this hotel, be prepare to eat every day rice and beans as side dishes, pork and chicken bones as meat selection...I could not believe not once I saw fish at the buffet or anywhere else at this resort. I have been many times in Cuba, there was always fish on the menu at different resorts, but not here. They live surrounded by ocean, but no fish at the menu. Fruit choices only papaya and quawa, again no even bananas! We gave a try as what they called burgers, it's,a thin piece of smth they call "meat". I would say you will be lucky if you don't get sick from the food at this resort... Again if you don't care about what you are going to eat during your stay here, beach is nice like anywhere else in Varadero... I would say it's a very bad management at this resort, if they don't care about people as it just very disrespectful to serve people food they do at this hotel... Theis hotel is the worse experience so far in Cuba. There is no excuse for the food they serve at this resort, as an explanation due to the overall shortages in Cuba, as I am only talking about local food they have here. But again I believe the management just does not care about it, as they obviously don't check the quality of their buffet food choices... Any other resort would be a better choice for vacation, just waste of our money coming to this hotel...

Just came back from one week of 8 family get together at Melia Las Antillas. As everyone knows the beach is the best, you can walk a long way in the water, as I don’t swim, it was perfect. There are plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The beds are very comfortable, the air conditioning works really well, and there is always plenty of hot water. The suites are perfect for getting together. I requested for the 8 of us to be close together and thank you to Midiala Lopez Bernat who took care of fulfilling our request. Naidelys and Greter, the concierge team, booked our reservations for the 8 of us, a la carte restaurants, which was really appreciated. I also would like to mention and say a big thank you to Niuris, who cleaned our room, Jordan at the buffet, Yaneline at the coffee bar, and Juan Carlos at the El Conuco, who always served us with a smile. As everyone knows there are food ration in Cuba, maybe the buffet was not as elaborated as some people would like but there was plenty to eat. The drive to Varadero, in an old convertible, was great. We had a great holiday and thank you to all the staff.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They always had games and activities to do by the pool and beach. The food was great and never went hungry. The shows were great and played great music. Volleyball, dancing, plenty of fun.
